@@shreyadama2484 I'm from the UK. my parent came from Bangladesh as a young teen mum was 14 back in the 1980s but my grandparents and rest of my family are from Bangladesh. we visit every 2 years. literally came back from a 6 month trip from Bangladesh coz of uni I didn't visit for a while but graduated so was able to spend a long time seeing family.

Once I tried squeezing into a TIGHT dress the same way u did, AND IT GOT STUCK COVERING MY FACE/NECK! And I didn’t have my mom; so I run to my dad literally half naked to make him help while I’m in a full blown anxiety attack, once I get it off and can see, his girlfriend (&her 8 kids!) my grandparents and FOUR of my aunts AND a neighbor was all in the living room & watched the whole thing laughing while I’m still half naked and crying 🙃😂 so this gave me some ptsd lololol

basically we have 3 main events mendhi which is getting ready to get married party, then the wedding, then walima like a after party few days after the wedding. we do also have a engagement party at the start and also we have to have a 'English wedding' meaning registry basically. our weddings going on for a whileeeee. my sister had 1000 people at her wedding

I'm a chef and I did an Indian wedding about 10 years ago and it took two whole days and the food alone cost $80,000 it was the traditional Indian wedding the father was a doctor and they had it they were pretty wealthy family with the wedding literally was a two-day process and the food cost 80 grand it is the most beautiful wedding in my life
