I was 10 when this came out. My cousin's wife had bought him a dreamcast for xmas with NFL 2K. I asked if I could play it before him and she said go ahead. I remember thinking that this game was so much more realistic than Madden at the time.
Tuff to decide between NFL Game Day & NFL 2K , NCAA Game Breaker is allot better than NCAA Football. Madden is good but those games where allot closer to watching a real football game the commentary was spot on and it didn't repeat itself 50 times over.
I remember my dad brother and i went to electronic boutique and seen a demo between the saints and dolphins i fell in love instantly thank you for buying the system and game for me i love and miss you
I remember the demo being the Dallas Cowboys Vs Baltimore Ravens. I played the shit out of it in Toy's R US the next year it was the New York Giants vs the Green Bay Packers. I wanted a SAGA DREAMCAST but my father bought me a PlayStation 2 for Christmas instead and told me to stay away from the SAGA DREAMCAST. Trust me you don't want it because it had a bad reputation at that time. I also wanted Metal Gear Solid 2 .
thats the problem ppl have with them. they have next gen but still refuse or cant do what 2k did on past gen. they dont have competition so they dont even try smh
NFL Game Day , NFL 2K, NFL Blitz & NCAA Game Breaker were great . Electronic Arts didn't want any competition so they killed them off and we got stuck with Madden and a NCAA Game hasent been made seince NCAA 14 it's been 7 years.
That's why I love 2k5; things happen in the game for football reasons. I want to play the original 2k because it's the only NFL 2k game with Marino on the Dolphins. But I don't have a Dreamcast.
I guess the Americans got a great..errr..... football game on the Dreamcast. unfortunately for someone across the pond we got some really crap soccer games on the system.

I think Lovitz played the radio but this announcer guy did actually play Launchpad Mcquack in Ducktales and a bunch of other stuff so he does have animation background... probably what you're thinking of
Just think if this series was still making football games. It would be way better than Madden football. You had to work to get your points on here. You couldn’t do the same things over and over again like you can on Madden. They actually played defense.

He was with the Indianapolis Colts from 1998-2011 & the Denver Broncos from 2012-2015, preseason games the secondary starts 1st to prevent the 1st string QB for being injured. There deciding rather there going to cut them or not it would pretty stupid for Payton Manning to be out for the entire season do to an injury before the season even starts.

My roommate had a Dreamcast and this game. We spent soooo many crappy winter days playing this and NBA 2k.
This game has better commentary and better stadium atmosphere than madden... How come Madden can't do something that was done in 1999...

This game is hard to play if you don't know football and how to run plays. It's not easy like Madden.
