Disney Killed The Hunter: The Book Of Boba Fett

- Опубліковано 29 вер 2024
- The Book Of Boba Fett, Disney’s newest Star Wars creation is all types of wrong from start to finish. Lucasfilm has killed the hunter and replaced him with a crime lord who rules over a gang of one. Boba Fett, the bounty hunter that said little and always stayed hidden no longer exists.

Hey All! A little late with this one. I’ve been fighting the big Covie for the last couple of weeks. Let me know in the comments what you think of Boba and his “gang”. And if you enjoy the video throw it a like. Subscribing and sharing the video is always a big help and will make you more attractive to potential loved ones. And hit the stupid bell. Cheers!
The teenagers are kind of stupid.
Waiting for the inevitable Robot Head Covid review...
take care buddy!
I'm shocked you didn't mention the worst part - the skittles biker gang :D
Baba Vanga reference! She would've been a better choice in the director's chair 🤣
Respect to Temuera Morrison for doing his best with what they’ve given him to work with. At 61 years old he’s doing most of his own action and you can tell he does love the character.
Too bad his character has turned into shit
Absolutely love Temuera Morrison, and love his passion.
Too bad Johnny Favs and the gang don't understand the character at all.
@Edward Lee Miller on the other hand, it was also Morrison's idea to remove the helmet as much as possible
@Edward Lee Miller
He really wasn't the chosen one. He's only moderately less awful than the others who have defiled Star Wars. The Mandalorian is extremely overrated.
@@TrueCarthaginian truly overrated
It gets even worse when you see he interviews where it’s clear that Morrison knows how Boba should act (particularly in regard to when he should/shouldn’t be choosing to speak) far better than anyone that is credited as a writer for the show.
Got a link?
He was trying to warn us just like Mark Hamil
I think they know they just decided not to do that boba for whatever reason
@@YieM1331 maybe so
@@larniieplayz6285 Not kid friendly enough. I think we just need to accept that Star Wars will never be Dark & Gritty under Disney.
With that said I’m very worried about the Obi Wan series.

And thanks to TOR he died waiting for that battle.

But boba is not a mandalorian
@@thecommenter578 boba is not boba in this show
Temuera Morrison is giving it all he's got, and his excellent physical shape for his age (60!) juuuuuuuust about hides the fact that the character magically aged 20 years overnight because the studio wanted to keep both the character and the legacy actor. (That Sarlaac juice and Tatooine sun must be really harsh on the skin)
Temuera Morrison should simply be the voice, he's way too heavy, and old to do the action scenes, He should be taking his mask off as much as Dinn has with Morrison doing like 2 scenes maskless tops... They should have a sleeker guy wearing it.. he looks, and feels like a bad cosplay. He gained weight, and strength in the pit? Also whats with the Darth maul outfit? Why'd they make him a tuskan raider...
He's supposed to be a stealth, sharpshooting, gadgets using, jet pack using masked bounty hunter who is super efficient, and deadly, who will do anything for the right price with no remorse... Not some huge, super strong bald barbarian with a curly stick who's this nice guy with an honor code.
Hopefully they make him ruthless in season 2, change his costume to more accurate, make him wear the mask more, slim him up, show him using his jet pack, blaster, and gadgets how he should, and hopefully they change that he had a plan all along, and he's always been this ruthless bounty hunter...
@@randomrecipes5007 let's not hope for a season 2. This show has been a shitshow
@@randomrecipes5007 agree with everything you said. Lol “Curly Stick” I’m not fond of his new appearance either.
He's fat af. I don't know where you're from, but being fat is far from excellent physical shape for a 60 year old. Liam Neeson is 70 years old and he looks great. Heck, 10 years ago he was still great.
And made him the only actor I know of to play himself and his son
I love how you shred the Disney lack of imagination & creativity, as well as the "As a TRUE fan you have to like it even if it sucks" mentality of it's defenders. Keep up the good work & honesty.
The people who are bitching about this series don't have any imagination or creativity. Hence, why they are on UA-cam raging about content creators creating content.

@@Brikkyy13 There are no "true" fans. There are just fans. If you have to say that you're somehow a better fan than other's than that's being both selfish and obnoxious.
@@ObossRocks Says the guy who can't cope.
Totally agree - taking off his helmet and making him the "hero" is just not the right path. Bounty Hunters are rogues, out for themselves, out for the next bounty. Would love to have seen him battling for his quarry against the likes of Dengar and Bossk and having the dogfighting be part of it. Him taking over for Jabba just doesn't feel right at all for his character. He knew he was smarter than those leaders and profited greatly off of them and their needs - he never needed to be one. If anything, his goal should be getting back those who put him in the Sarlaac - namely Luke and Han. Disney knew all this and knew it wouldn't end well for Boba and that they'd have to bring back Lucas' heroes who they try to avoid at all costs. Super lame...
Actually I think they just decided to make him replace Jabba because 1. The concept of him sitting on the throne looked cool, and 2. They had basically given the bounty hunter role to Mandalorian. If Boba continued to be a bounty hunter they would have 2 shows about the same thing featuring identical protagonists. Anyway, something you said which is very perceptive is your first sentence. The reason Boba was so cool is that he was essentially a background character, so he could do whatever he wanted. Now, as the protagonist, the story arc has to follow specific formulas, he's not even an anti hero, he is a good guy who has to get beat up a lot so that there is a pay off when he finally wins. Its basic and boring and formulaic. I hate that this show is so disappointing, I really wanted it to be good, but I saw that the premise was ridiculous a mile away. The trailer for the show showed him killing bib fortuna and sitting down on the throne, and I immediately thought "ok, what now? Hes just going to sit there and replace jabba?"
The whole point is that he doesn't want to be the hunter anymore🥸
@@dylanfarnum4121 Dude even if you don’t like the show the concept isn’t ridiculous at all. Why would Boba want to do other people’s bidding his entire life?
100% agree, this should COMPLETELY missed the mark, he was already not treated right in Mando Se 2.
bruh yall just hate character development
Diseny did a great job at turning what was supposed to be one of the galaxy's deadliest people, one that went toe-to-toe with Darth Vader with a lightsaber, into a complete joke.
What ever do you mean? I always wanted to see cyberpunk reject youths with 50's brightly colored vespas partake in literally the slowest "chase" ever put into a motion picture. I love that boba fett is a goodie macgoodface now and has literally only shot a blaster once in 4 out of 7 chapters. I was absolutely extatic when boba just kinda forgot he has a jetpack, a flammenwerfer and a blaster on his hip, and instead chose to fire a high explosive rocket at an enemy standing 2 feet away from him holding a shield. I am paralized with joy to watch how boba, instead of mowing down anyone who gets in his way (as he has been established to do in cannon and the EU) chose to reenact Dances with Banthas for more than half of the series, supporting the tuscan raiders (despite the fact George made it clear the tuscan raiders are murdering pillagers, who also happened to kill Shmie and kick off Vaders ark). My absolute favorite part was when boba told fenec he needs her help to "retrieve my fire spray gun ship", might as well have said I need your help to retrieve the NOT SLAVE ONE. GET IT? It used to be called Slave One, but now we can't have that! That's a baddie word! We wouldn't want to hurt anyones precious little feelings now would we? IT'S NOT SLAVE ONE ANYMORE GUYS!!! YOU CAN CALM DOWN! PUT AWAY THE PITCHFORKS! WE SOLVED RACISM BY CHANGING THE NAME OF A FICTIONAL SHIP IN A FICTIONAL WORLD! (fuck my ass, mouth and tits! such bullshit I swear...) {Fun fact, it's still called Slave I in Star Wars Battlefront 2, so suck my dick disney cunts} And who can forget how african american Chewie went to assassinate boba and only bothered to bring what appeared to be taser knuckle dusters?(what the fuck?) despite the fact we saw him carrying a big fuck off gun earlier. Amazing stuff all round.
Fight coreography looking like an 8 year old child came up with it while bashing toys together in his room.
They should have called the series: "Lawrance of Tatooine, but worse... way way worse"
Dont think about it, just consoooooom - Disney to gullible normies.
This entire series has been a disaster, like mandalorian and the sequels, and it's breaking my heart, but what's even more heartbreaking is watching Temuera Morrison in interviews saying how unhappy he was with the writing and plot points, which reminded me about how unhappy Mark Hamil was about Luke!
As if I didn't have enough shit to be depressed about already... fml
At least EFAP are tearing this shit apart and providing a small amount of satisfaction.
Temuera Morrison waddles around, falls on his back too much, looks sad and lumpy in the armour, and his shooting stance looks so wobbly. He does 0 crime as a crimelord and gets fked over by everyone in Mos Espa.
I watched the first two episodes hoping it would get better, but when i got to the vespa speeder gang in the third one i'd had enough. I actually liked the Mando, there were some stupid moments in it but overall i enjoyed it and was excited for this but what a total pile of shite it turned out to be.
I literally got bored in the first episode cause nothing makes sense regarding how the crime syndicates work in this show, y is evevryone so nice to Boba when he's virtually powerless and even bobas lines makes it like he doesn't know wat to do as a crime lord too
Haha, "Vespa speeder gang." I was thinking while I watched that "chase" scene that they didn't even try to hide that they're literally going 5-10mph.
"YOU WERE THE CHOSEN ONE!"

Speaking of Obi-Wan, I have a bad feeling for his show... I'd imagine it would be hard to fuck up since his story is already set up.
Then again, I thought it would have been hard for disney to fuck Buba Fett up.
8:03 that's exactly what we should have gotten. A pissed off Boba Fett looking for revenge. Imagine Boba acting like Boba, and Fennek being like Zam. Kinda like Jango and Zam. But no that's too good...
Imagine disney announcing they're making a TV series about Boba Fett, everyone looses their minds, then we get the show and it's nothing like Boba Fett.
I know "The Tragedy" is also directed by Rob, but atleast we got a few seconds of Boba Fett being Boba Fett.

He's an old man that is more comfortable at a dinner table than in a suit of armor. His posse looks like discount Power Rangers
I gave up on SW and put it in a box a while ago. I didn’t even set my exceptions very high with the new Disney garbage and they never even got close. I’ve moved on and I think a lot of others have also. It’s unfortunate, but predictable when a franchise is bought up and then purposefully driven into the great cultural divide
The whole idea of building a crime syndicate of his own is actually quite interesting tbh… but on a ruthless planet like Tatooine to be behaving like a nice guy will most probably get you killed within the day. I mean like Jaja almost got murked for eating someones food. I love the point u said with the constant expo as if he has never been on the same old sand planet before. Especially with his renown ppl would be genuinely volunteering to serve in a Fett clan… and if he does get disrespected then Boba would be the last guy to „let them go free“.
Episode 3 was worse than bleaching my eyes like jesus christ. So many ppl working on this and nobody thought of like questioning those power rangers???? And that „chase“… like just speed up the tape.
Also whats up with all those Star Trek characters in a Star Wars universe. Its genuinely terrifying how they cannot comprehend to stick with the theme and continuously create those characters that dont fit the part. This mismatching is just reflected in everything they have produced over the last couple of yrs. And yh tbh even a blind chicken picks a corn every now and then with some awesome scenes and good episodes.
I mean someone who was known by Vader and warned not to disintegrate ppl shouldn’t be a „nice guy“ that suffers from memory loss and has the crime lord competence of Jaja Binks. I get the PG part and not to be too brutal but that doesnt excuse poor dialogue with the combined creativity of a waterless pond.
This video was hilarious and very truthful. I agree. I have actually fallen asleep several times watching these Boba Fett episodes and again Disney does not appreciate nor respect these wonderful characters. The writing is dull and the story itself could have had so much potential too. It's terrible.
There's always that starwars fan that's not happy with anything.
i just love how the most feared bounty hunter in the galaxy needed training on how to fight with a stick lmao
I was so disappointed when I saw the first episode. But then again, I wasn't surprised actually
I personally like the idea that Boba’s character changes after he spends time with the Tuskans. Seeing Boba go from the cold hearted killer we knew him to be, to being a more caring person after having his chance at a second life with the tuskans, and then a third chance once he comes the new crime lord, was a great idea in my opinion. There could have been some more attention to detail and a greater explanation for why he tried to take Jabba’s throne though, I agree with that a lot. Of all the Disney Star Wars shows, this was the most disappointing in my opinion, but I can respect what they tried to do with the character
The completly gutted his character.. It's like an entire different person. Talkative, naive, foolish and without his helmet way to often.
The book of boba is SOOO bad. I remember feeling extremely disappointed and letdown after waiting for the show to begin, and then watching episode 1
Y'know, lines like "I'm not a sleeping Trandoshan guard", and "no one respects you" seem to have gone over the heads of people who thought Black K should have killed Boba while he slept in the bacta, or that Boba seeming softer isn't part of an intentional character arc. He wiped out an entire biker gang in one pass last week, and there's 3 episodes left. I didn't think much of The Mods either, but in the next episode, it turned out they're more integral to the story; their work was revealed in Mando S2, what with fixing up Fennec. These things are revealed out of order, so perhaps the book should have read chronologically rather than Pulp FIction style jumping around to avoid winding people up haha.
I remember a filmmaker and a screenwritter saying how directors and writers who tell stories out of order and in a non-linear form are trying to cover their errors and lack of writing skills by confusing the viewer with flashbacks and flash-forwards to the point they're not able to figure out what's wrong with the scenes or find any issues with them.
@MrMiller Could you elaborate more on why you think the wookie shouldn't have killed him?
Boba Fett looks like someone's uncle at a barbeque. Pass him a beer and that plate of burgers! If he opens his robe, DON'T LOOK!
If like most of the fans u didn’t read comics, Boba as an adult had like 3 lines and stood there. Yeah the Clone Wars gave him a sort of back story but Iv never understood the obsession w BF. But great review! Always fun!
Having him maybe be a crime lord on Mandalore seems like a missed opportunity to me.
This Boba Fett series deserves an Emmy...
For adding in the most things that felt completely out of place lol.
Like which things?
@@borris3768 Like power rangers.
Another missed opportunity. Like you said, Disney has no idea who these characters are, or how to handle them.
Just a side note. In the original jenga death you can see the shadow of the head as it flies far from the helmut.
Yeah true but I think RH is just saying that it needs some fear or shock injected into, its all too beige
I had high hopes after The Mandalorian, it wasn't perfect but it was a marked improvement in quality. Boba Fett is just meh.
I like how everyone judges this show right away before the shows over.
Why do I have a feeling that he won’t like anything that Disney will ever make
Yes, thank you for saying what most of us are thinking! Look forward to the next episode :)
Maybe all that time in the Sarlacc's stomach made him rethink his life.
You know, as much as i hate the show, i did like the sarlac escape (I was a little drunk to be fair, really liked how it looked).
but after you pointed it out, yeah, why the actual FUCK did they put a stormtrooper in there?
and yeah, imo both prequel and disney SW fans just seem to accept anything with a SW logo on it and just say its great or fine. The thing i dislike the most about this show is that they made a villan a good guy. yeah he has like 10 minutes of movie screen time, but book of boba takes a guy who was willing to burn people alive and potentially kill them by carbon freezing for money and made him a good guy "ruling with respect" and concerning himself with tuscan land ownership.
idk all seems very out of character, which is telling when its a characer with 10 mins of screen time.
Non Boba Fett fans will always say he was nothing more than a cool looking toy, but that's because they really don't understand movie making or a deeper understanding of a story and characters. Yes, Boba Fett said nothing more than five lines and was DEFEATED in a hilarious manner, but by having him remain silent, that makes him stand out from the main cast. His behavior actually says a lot about him. He's professional, he's cold, he only cares about the job. He questions Vader to his face, something his own imperial officers likely would be choked for, and the fact Vader doesn't gives you some insight into their relationship. Vader respects this man enough to let him talk. Also Vader telling Fett "no disintegrations" tells you a lot too. This is a ruthless, dangerous man who can forgo mercy to be cruel. Boba Fett is a character where less is more. So no, he wasn't only ever a toy. He was a character who inspired your imagination and looked cool while doing it.
I don't see how boba can claim the title of "crime boss" if he doesn't do any crimes. He doesn't do slave trade, illegal material trade, drug trade (hell, he even stops a drug trade business), he doesn't forge weapons, forge passports, hold immigrants. He's just pulling a marvel and taking someone's home while the person who used it is dead.
He's become the new Disney Prince, Prince Boba and his pet Rancor.
It's always been a criticism that Star Wars was way too small a world for a franchise literally warring between star systems but man it feels twice as small as it has before. Literally everything is connected to the same 10 people, you can't escape them, it's like some jedi mind trick in itself that if you live in this universe you're destined to always be meeting the same people.
Honestly anyone who can’t tell the difference in quality between Lucas’s work, over this crap, must really be a Hollywood shill. Modern day writers lack any creativity and are holding down directors who probably want to make a masterpiece.
The one thing I can say, is despite how long this hypocritical trillion dollar company destroys a beloved IP. It can always be lifted back up by those who are competent and creative writers. For all we know the value of this IP will be worth nothing once it’s been defiled, and it’s easy pickings to start anew by those who take it off their greedy hands.
It wasn’t even his own show
As much as I loved seeing Luke, Ashoka, grogu, the bd unit droid, cad bane again
Too much attention was stripped from him
Not to mention the mods, which I really hated
Leave it to Disney to totally ruin a moment the world has waited for
They screwed up also Mando in the last episode of the Book Of Boba Fett, now im really worried about Obi-Wan..
So it sounds like people want another mandalorian. I think it's cool Boba fetts character is getting explored and we get to see him actually do things. I think his relationship with tusken raiders was a cool idea. Boba Fett used to be a side character where nothing important would be lost if he was never there, now it feels like he has a place.
This is just my opinion, if you would like to share yours then feel free to
This show is brought to you by boston dynamics (12:19)
I wish there would be more gore but like Disney ever gonna do that
It's too bad you haven't done the other episodes. I'm curious to hear your take on what came of The Book of Boba Fett. I won't say anything further just in case you haven't seen it but I hope you do make a video summing up the rest of the series after the final episode which aired about 12 hours ago and I have not seen yet because I'm really nervous they built the show up so much that the ending is going to be a let down no matter what happens. I've only just properly checked out your back catalogue. It's always good to hear an Australian voice and one doing particularly well. I imagine some people have a little trouble with the Aussie twang and language we use all the time. I really only know of yourself and Mr Sunday Movies doing this kind of thing which is disappointing. Looking forward to your next video.
Idk and I don’t want to give spoilers but if you did not like the other episodes, then I would not get your hopes up too high. But that’s just for me but it’s an advice
Sad thing is this could have been cool
ALSO they forget than boba was tied with rope not chains...
to be fair, and this is nitpicky, but u do see the shadow of jango's head leave the shadow of his helmet just before it hits the ground. my guess is his head probably ended up half way across the arena. imagine how much a soccer ball would get kicked around in a battlefield like that
but ya book of boba sucked XD can't wait for them to ruin my 2 favorite characters in the kenobi show... oh god i hope they don't
Bobba Fett was a minor side character who got killed off quickly. The only good sci-fi show ended recently with a bang. 'The Expanse' is better than anything Disney/Star Wars have made in the past decade.
what would these fools think if i told them all the movies suck, and the only good star wars is the books?
I mean after almost dying and having a humbling experience living with the tuskens I can see how Bobba fett can get less of a killer. But becoming less of a killer means you have to become more intelligent, strategic, and cunning. Felt like some scenes of action and conversation he lacked all such things.
You're just trying to complain right now.
It's a good show, It has intresting characters.
Cry about it.
Also when you talked about the Geanocis scene and the fact you got mad that the monster wasn't in the scene prooves my first point.
The Mandalorian felt more like Boba Fett…than the actual fucking Boba Fett.
I like the shows but i agree that people need to accept it's not perfect and has allot of flaws.
Oh boy I can't wait for Cad Bane to make a cameo in one of these series... oh..... wait.......
Jango's head can't be in the helmet because George himself had the shadow of Jango's head fly out during the decapitation. Amazing how much tiny detail they put onto some things but not others.
I really wanted it to fall out when Jango lifted it.
In my Star Wars it does and did! Just like the Greedo being toasted for threatening Han and the bloody arm on the floor of the Droid hating Mos Eisley.
This show was a layup. Fan favorite character. Literally all they have to do is make a show about him flying around to crazy planets in a space ship and hunting down bounties. That's it! Instead the most fearsome bounty hunter in the galaxy is pretty easy to beat up and decides to get into small town politics.
It's the only thing US audiences understand and relate to - BS politics & nothing getting done.
If they did that, if they made him "fly around to crazy planets in a space ship and hunt down bounties" then people would have gotten pissed because "It copied Mandolorian". I am willing to admit that this show has its flaws, but at this point it honestly feels like one of the only reasons people are shitting on this is because its made by disney.

If they wanted to do something “positive” with his character, they could have turned him into an unwitting agent of justice by having the New Republic hire him to track down war criminals. His moral ambiguity would remain intact, yet he could still be the star of his own family-friendly series, since he would be collecting bounties on bad guys.
Then you could use his mounting frustration with the New Republic (possibly seeing much of the old Empire in them), that he begins to hatch his scheme to free the hunters. That would be far more interesting than the "Dances With Wolves In Space" we seem to be stuck with now.
@@underthepale Actually, I was thinking that having him hunt down war criminals could give us some insight into how “bad” the Empire was - something that the live-action stuff hasn’t done a good job of. So far, all we’ve gotten is, “the Empire is bad because it blows up planets.”
An Agent 47-esque character. Though, there is that small obstacle that Boba captured and carbonite the husband of one of the most prolific senators of the Republic. So, perhaps an intelligence outfit related to the Republic would reach out to him instead of any official overtures.
That actually could have been cool plus get to see different locations, not just the same place.
That's actually a good idea, and could really add depth to a character, although beloved, is only one note...but of course they are Disney, and they avoid good ideas like the plague.

That was the scene that made me realize this series may be doomed. It was sooo cheesy.
“Scooter” is correct, though it’s not specific. “Scooter” without qualifiers can mean anything from a kick scooter like a Razor to something like a Honda Metropolitan. In American English at least, we typically refer to the kind of scooters you’re talking about as mobility scooters. Some people use the brand name Rascal to refer to all of them, a genericized trademark like Jell-o or Band-Aid.

To say this show is being made on the cheap is an understatement.
Boba fett is very watered down in this show and very safe because of course Disney can’t make a true Star Wars crime show and it has to be very child friendly and the badass bounty hunter is a generic Star Wars character that has no real character
This is exactly how I feel about it after watching the first two episodes. It's not exactly horrible, especially compared to most of the other new Star Wars slop, but it's so safe and sanitized of literally anything that could be perceived as problematic by Kathleen Kennedy and the gang that it just seems so boring. The extremely low stakes, obscenely generic enemies, and boring tropey side characters straight out of any animated Disney movie from the last 25 years certainly doesn't help either.
@@thehoerscorral8565 i agree, but i dont mind the low stakes. not every story need to be saving XYZ, "the galaxy" or massive war. it seem to be they are trying to make a "breaking bad" story. start from nothing to a empire.

@@RandomPerson-tz7wk While I agree with you about it not needing to be 'save the galaxy' stakes, I can't help but feel like there should have been some middle ground reached between 'blowing up another death star' and 'slowly walking around and collecting money from boring criminals on Tattooine while padding the runtime with unnecessary flashbacks to a bunch of dumb stuff with the sand people nobody cares about'

Book of Boba is so blind as to what the fans want. Escaping the Sarlacc should have been half an episode, Boba should be tracking enemies using stealth and tech not hulking around.
I love Boba Fett but it feels like he's a secondary character in his own show.
So true 👍
This is a requirement for any Disney product now, which is why they're so boring. Hawkeye? Loki? Thor Ragnarok and probably other MCU movies I'm forgetting? Even Falcon and Winter Soldier? Funny how all of them have Strong Female Character who is badass and strong and independent (and most importantly to Disney, has no weaknesses at all) to help those big bumbling dumb men evade capture or find the bad guys or whatever, and inevitably ends up with more screen time than the literal TITULAR character.
@@thehoerscorral8565 The funny thing is is that as a women I completly agree. I understand it's fantasy but the characters should only be able to do what from their experience, training and size.

Here is a huge mistake the writers of this so-called Boba Fett show made that no one has mentioned. Boba dug his way out of the Sarlacc wearing his armor. He roamed the desert for a few miles then collapsed and passed out from a series of conditions including but not limited to exhaustion. The Jawas came by and stole his armor. Fast forward to episode 4 and we see Boba return to the Sarlacc looking for his armor. Why is he looking for his armor inside the Sarlacc when he should have known he was wearing it when he escaped? Seriously this has to be one of the worst continuity errors ever made.
Did all that time in the desert fry his brain or what? He should've been shaking down any Jawa he met for his gear
Loads of people have mentioned that. It was dreadful and I agree with you. Just not the bit where you’re saying nobody mentioned it! It’s all over this site
That irritated the shit out of me the entire episode...it just didn't make any sense beyond them wanting a sequence of Boba entering the pit for set piece purposes...but because its so dumb, it distracts you from enjoying the scene.
Is there no other planet in the Galaxy other then Tatooine? Wasn't this the planet farthest from the center? Why couldn't we get a show based on Corusant? There are literal levels to the planet. A cyberpunk Starwars setting with urban warfare would be interesting.
Imagine Fett doing Fett shit on the deeper levels of Coruscant, like Karl Urbans Dredd. Instead we got Fett on Sesame Street.
Also, Tatooine is controlled by the Hutts. Why would the Hutts allow Boba to take over for Jabba? Wouldn't they have one of their own, another Hutt, take control of Jabba's territory?
Or steal some world building ideas from Valerian and the city of a thousand planets.
@@G360LIVE Not to mention, the Hutts have a pact with one another to destroy any threats threatening any of them, and destroy anyone who brings harm to a fellow Hutt. Where the hell are the other Hutts? After Jabba's defeat, they would probably kill Fett just on the basis that he is even sitting in Jabba's seat. You're correct in thinking they'd send a Hutt to at minimum hold the place in control until they can figure things out. It isn't just a dead Hutt, it's also loss of tight control of a region of space.
@@ForTheOmnissiah Disney completely forgot that many planets are controlled by the Hutt Space
I noticed that Boba has become really naive and ignorant about the world. For example he wants to rule a crime planet not with fear but with respect and Fennec rightfully said that FEAR was the only good way to rule these people and she was correct. His approach about everything reminded me of those RPG games where you can make morally good decisions everytime and things will go your way no matter what. Basically he went for the Paragon path in a world filled with treason, corruption and violence. Realistically he would have been done for a long time ago.
Also that teen gang didn't sit with me right. They looked like they belonged in another sci-fi world, not Star Wars. Cyberpunk yes, but Star Wars no. That speeder chase was awful as well.
Boba is really incompetent as well for some reason. First, why did he approach the Sarlacc so closely? What did he expect to find? His armor lying just there waiting for him? If he lost it to the Sarlacc it would be in it's stomach, not outside where the mouth is... And again Fennec proved more competent than Boba because while he struggled like an idiot with the controls against the grip of the Sarlacc in a stalemate, she actually knew his ship better and made the smart move to feed it a seismic charge. Why didn't he think of that???
And why the hell he had a lot of money in his palace but made the"not having people to fight for him" an issue?
Geez i wonder how would a guy with a lot of money find muscle in a planet filled with mercenaries and gangs? I guess a BOUNTY HUNTER wouldn't have any idea how to fix this "problem".
And again Fennec said the obvious - oh i don't know, maybe HIRE people?
....
Because a man can't have the good ideas or solutions to problems. Need to have a woman tell him/solve it.
Also despite being a relatively short distance away from a "hive of scum and villainy" no-one attempts to burgle the palace while he's out and about with his only compatriot leaving everything in the palace undefended.
Imagine in real life having a mansion in the bad side of the town then going out alone leaving all your doors unlocked lol

Mando in the very first episode that we see him is closer to how Boba should be in this show as a Crime Lord/Bounty Hunter, he should also be making examples of people who keep disrespecting him instead of letting it slide because it makes him look weak all things considered.
I suppose that this unfortunately may be the reason why Boba is going into another direction.

@@RandomPerson-tz7wk That's part of why he was great, though. You don't want to overuse/milk something. Even Darth Vader wasn't constantly in the movies, which made things feel even cooler when he was (Rogue One, for example).

I had problems with this show within the first few minutes. Everything looks so clean. Disney really doesn’t understand the rebellion/ post rebellion era. Why is a crime infested city on a back water desert planet so clean looking?

It looks as clean as tatooine always has and these criminals have cash and loads of it, so it's not difficult to understand the potential for them to be able to clean it with scifi technology.
Have you seen a new hope dude?
Also I don't what it is but the camera work just looks so lifeless, crisp and boring. If you look at Tatooine in the OT then in episode 1 it just feels vibrant more cinematic more alive. I would guess that basically film cameras from that era just have an edge. And sometimes as technology pushes forward I think their is a thing as "too much" clarity it leaves nothing to the imagination and everyone just looks like amateur actors standing round in make up and cheap plastic clothing.

As for the clone wars, it showed him as a young naive hot head trying desperately to live up to his fathers reputation and surrounded himself with the most dangerous bounty hunters in the galaxy, cad bane beating multiple jedi with ease many times. And then Lucasfilm just tossed all the novels, comics, and games out of canon like trash.
Seeing any part of the EU adapted to film in any way should be awesome, should be what we wanted, especially AFTER KK pretended it didn't exist at all. I hate most of what Disney has done with Star Wars ('Solo' was the absolute worst, and that's saying a lot). But I'm not down for bashing a company for any made up reason just because it's in fashion to hate on them. The krayt dragon episode was one of the better ones, and that scene was way better than what we got in 'KOTOR' (I played that game thru 3 times and barely remember the krayt dragon).
