- In 1960 Marilyn Monroe attended the 17th Golden Globes, held on Tuesday, 8th March at the Cocoanut Grove, Ambassador Hotel.
Marilyn won Best Actress for the comedy ‘Some Like It Hot’ directed by Billy Wilder.
On that occasion, she wore a white fur stole over a white dress.
I love it when I see pictures of Marilyn that I've never seen before. Rest in peace Marilyn,🕊️❤️
Two days ago was her 61 death anniversary. She was so a loving gorgeous human being. Rip angel, we miss you we miss you ❤️❤️❤️. love the video nice music in her tribute. Forever young forever in our heart. Thanks you Karen 👍👏👏❤️❤️

A deserved award. Her performance in "Some like it hot" was one of the best in comedy story, even for an Oscar nomination too.

She can't hide the fact that she loves that award! 😄 Though I think she's on record someplace saying she never liked the movie. Her husband Miller wisely told her to do it. But I think she went to her grave mystified as to why everyone loved it. Indeed, why do people like certain things? She brought a studio to its knees because she wanted the "Girl" role in Seven Year Itch, yet she hated Hot. The common assessment is that Hot is better than Itch. Oh well! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
