    Great videos, thank you so much for posting them. I used to hate grappling, but you do more than show the mechanics, you also show the subtle but important principles that make them work. I find your grappling demonstrations fascinating.

    You have stumbled on the jackpot. The answer to this question is the focus of the semester in AKBAN, so my instructor said.
    So I guess in January we'll see the tutorials.

    How would you defend yourself from a punch by your opponent's free hand? Would a Jodan Uke Nagashi work? Any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

    Sparring (randori - kumite) or bunkai???

    • @makiaveliku8197
      @makiaveliku8197 2 роки тому

      Both. You can use this shoulder lock in a spar after an Arm Drag and throw to mat, in the ground switch to Musha Dori and tap the opponent or switch to Ude Garami (Kimura); or break his balance and switch to Seoi/O Soto/Ko Soto/Ko Uchi or Harai Goshi The Oni Kudaki works.

    Good technique takes too long real life execute it's two moves . I would do one flow and turn inside speed is crucial and probability. Wonderful thou.👍🏾

    That lock will not work on. Real fight situation because by the time he starts doing the moves for the lock the other guy would have punch him many times
