I just bought an old verus classic running Win xp.Software version is 16.4,but 17.2 i think was the newest update for it,how do i update to newest 17.2 version?,Snap-on told me they are not interested.

By the way I got my Verus to Boot Up in 1 Min and 15 secs. boot up and shut down is 1: 47 mins. I played around a lot and found If I used a Smaller SDD hard Drive 50 gb and I changed the ram to the best Timing I could find I got the best results. Also Because its Windows XP you can change the Registry HungAppTimeout and WaitToKillAppTimeout to a lower value for quicker shut off. Did you clone the hard drive or Install as new? Because I cloned mine. Thanks for teaching me how to install everything fresh tho ! you're the best

I cClone it , tok keep the snap on diagnostic software

You could turn off the auto run of the diagnostic suite, this will make the computer boot into windows only then after it boots up completely then you click on diagnostic suite yourself. It might help with the diagnostic suite freezing it on boot up. Just a suggestion

because on star up manager I do not see it there ?

if you click on start menu bottom left of windows, click on run then type msconfig, system configuration utility will pop up click on the start up tab and unclick anything that is related to the snap on program like shopstream diagnostic suite

Scouts Out I only disable the shop stream diagnostic suit , and yes after computer has boot complete i works perfect thank you

great thats awesome, i just sold my verdict and bought the verus pro and want to put an ssd in too. the verdict had a weird ribbon for the hard drive i never seen before what HD connection is in the verus and what model HD did you buy?

Thanks for sharing. So let me get this straight . Once you clone the hard disc you must reconfigure and reinitialize ?
Its very confusing what need to be done after cloning . I thought it was a clone ,reinstall and done deal

yes it is just cloning and all ready the only reason that I reset the system from new hardrive is because I thought thta will take care of the glith on pc getting frozeen during boot process but no nothing change I still have taht issue , I can live with it is about 3 weeks now I just have to press the power button some times more than one time

maybe a virus got into your file? Also when you factory reset the system will you lose the latest 16.4 upgrade?

no i did not loose it, but had to activate the euro software only
I can see a driver on divice manager shows the driver is missing for cpu ? I have not search for that

Man it sounds like keeping all the old hardware and just cloning to another 250gb hard drive for back up would be better ? You used a 1tb SSD ? And is it working any better , did you install the missing driver ?

to improve the speed I install the ssd, how ever you just could clone to regular hard drive to expand storage capacacity in my case I have diagnostic software in the scanner
