10:56 Recording your own voice as the pilot? Impressive.
It’s probably gonna suck though

@@phaoast4524 Have you seen AI voice reformatting in action? It's amazing. Go back and play with your dolls.
I spent literal months looking for all the animals in RDR2 and that was a blast. And that was just a small map. I'm going to spend years trying to find all the animals in flight sim, aren't I? 😅
Yup it’s gonna be quite an adventure
Man so as a console player, they fixed everything except the worse part about the experience…the default ATC. It’s not even usable ):
I literally can't use it in the A320NEO V2 it gets stuck in a loop of very rapid clicking sound effects. Almost like It's trying to push buttons for commands even though I am not requesting anything, or even looking at the ATC tab.
@@LostWanderer605 is the ai co pilot on?
@@Miner-zn4lt nope, but tab screen for ATC is just the gray background when I open it. With no options to do anything.
The A320NEO V2 is really the only one have this issue with. Sometimes it happens in my other aircraft ,but that one always has that problem with the default
ATC for some reason.
I Really hope the upgrades they made for MFS 2024 resolve a lot of the issues with the default ATC.
Use BeyondATC, SayIntentions, Vatsim, or PilotEdge… MSFS ATC has never gotten the attention it should.

11:54 I like how it says "Photograph a giraffe" and bro took a photo of a Rhino.
😭 lol
Must be a giraffe in the far back. lol!!! Like tiny little baby behind a tree or something.
1:20 ok come on look at this guys....
And they wont make Microsoft Driving Simulator
I cant believe its possible to say but it looks better than their previous game and it already was insane
Thanks for the First Peek Jeff!
I absolutely want career mode!
Awesome video mate! Can't wait to get back into 2024, what we got to try was amazing. Thank you so much for the shout out 🤩
The water bomber flight model at 9:00 looks so unnatural
That's what I also noticed in other videos. It's like being rejected from going towards the smokes and it's so arcade😩
Same with the A10 flight model, it flies very much like a toy kite.
This game is nuts, sounds like they must be spending huge money behind the scenes with it, you'd wonder how that can be profitable for them. I'd understand if this was a professional SIM that actual airliners and pilots would use, but I am not sure thats the case? I know they used to use Prepar3D or Xplane and some other software, do any modern Sims use the new MSFS, is it considered an accurate SIM over a game now? Otherwise I don't get how they'll recoup their money they spend making this thing lol
The tree at the middle of the road (10:33) gives me relief. At least I now know that the sim isn't perfect, and they aren't showing only the good parts. It still looks amazing though
They are showing the best parts.
The road traffic and roads are just still in 2020 Alpha 65 years later!
Not watched you in a long time Jeff happy your still posting lots of love ❤
I was so shocked to hear that MFS20 only has two types of cloud with 3 layers that can be duplicated for 64 different altitudes. That is so lacking compared to other sims where there is 8 types of clouds with unlimited layers, well, whatever the GPU can handle.
ok
Ahhh yessir, who doesn't love the good old Minecraft clouds of X Plane
How many other sims have 8 types of clouds exactly?
@@anony88 My P3Dv5
Do people really care about that?
I can’t wait to fly the saab, I hope they fixed propeller animations
If this doesnt lock up, crash, and cause all types of issues on release I will be absolutely surprised. Im a bit nervous about all the streaming being an issue
You just need a good internet connection and you should be good.
The streaming part makes me nervous too. I do think there will definitely be bugs and stability issues on launch, just the nature of the beast. Hopefully they'll get the worst of it sorted fairly quickly. But I do think it's smart for everyone to go into it expecting the initial release may be a bit rough and we'll have to try being a bit patient, especially the first couple weeks.
This is why I won’t rush to upgrade. I will likely wait a couple of weeks for feedback from real life users. However, I am likely to give it a try on gamepass before committing. Either way FS2020 is keeper because it lack thr cloud streaming non sense.
@@JBAlternate like this yes, there will be many lil bugs , i expect, if i see gameplay that runs good mostly, i get it, i can handle bugs. i am on xbox x tho and no footage of that has been shown yet...so i wait for that.
@@EmeryE2most people don’t have a good internet connection
I'm buying a new pc to run this thing, and it ain't gonna be cheap. I'm getting the liquid nitrogen cooling tank put in tomorrow. This sim better be worth it!
4090 over here. lets gooo
I wonder when they will implement a premium cloud subscription. Offloading environmental traffic calculations to the cloud for instance.
Great update Jeff. Glad to hear from the dev stream yesterday that we'll be able to get out of the aircraft with our avatars during free-flight and it's not limited to career mode or photo challenges. We wont be able to see other pilot avatars though but I'm sure someone will figure out a way and mod it in.
A friend asked me if MFS 2024 will finally get weather radar in airplanes. I told him that from what I saw on the web it probably won't, but you will be able to walk in sim.
Naimely, MFS 2024 will let players walk around the world. Well done MFS! First we got MFS as primarily a landscape simulation, and now we get a walking simulation as well!
The next step will probably be the revival of 'The Sims' in MFS, simulation of everyday life or fantasy RPG game inside sim. Planes and flying will be optional. Who cares about weather radar, airplanes and flying in flight simulation...
Or ATC that works as well as it did in FSX. How hard can it be to at least match that? You have airliners but no ATC??? Come on folks, get that thing fixed!!
@@PeteFine you detected the problem. But the problem seems unsolvable.
Any news of that rumored feature that youll actually will be able to leave the pilotseat and walk around inside your plane AND outside to explore on foot?
I read it on the MSFS 2024 steam page so yeah it is not a rumor. This is really exciting news and will bring a lot more player to the game.
@@angeatgr Yes considering they put so much effort into making the world even more detailed, being able to land somewere and get out and take a walk would be mindblowing. (IF I can figure out how to land without crashing... ;).
it is not rumoured it all, and shown in some vids.
@@wout123100 Really? Havent been able to find any footage, guess Ill keep looking. edit: finally found some footage - seems a bit rough but hopefully its gonna be smoother by release.
You're right. You'll be able to walk in sim and explore the world. Great, right? That's the point of every good flight simulator - to walk. The next step is probably MFS - 'The Sims' Edition.
Meanwhile, I can't get a decent weather radar in a jetliner.
I really want native shared cockpit so I can fly inside the same aircrafts as my friends.
do your friends come w/ the dlc pack?
That would be nice, it gets all lonely in the cockpit by yourself. Plus its double almost triple the work vs real life
One thing I haven't heard is there a more fleshed out Replay in the sim now?
The sim comes with a replay yes this is all old news you can find from the Flightsim Expo 2024 presentations
@jfavignano Ah my bad! Thanks for clarifying!
I am so sick of seeing the A10 in autumn trees and people flying around the Grand Canyon.
Any new footage?
no there is not
Dude, at 10:43 Literally nothing interesting.
okay
The footage looks awesome. Thank you for the video and answering peoples questions Jeff. The game looks really good. I hope you’re doing well, please take care and have a great night!
I was a sports pilot , now I am a private pilot going through rotary classification, will there be more in death controls for this in FS24?
I am with the USCGAUXgoing through search and Rescue any thoughts there?
I don't understand the cloud thing... you can create many different types with their building blocks - from altocumulus to cumulonimbus. That's the whole point of their cloud system. The cirrus was a different beast because it needed close to 'zero height' but with texture detail - something they coudlnt' do before.
Interesting how 2020 fanboys always said the flight model was so great, but the flight model is now supposed to be so much better…
I think the current FM is fine, I don’t know what people want. You can fly stupid and break physics in every sim available. If you fly them to the numbers they are quite a realistic experience.
@@jfavignano yea. But the more realistic physics You have the better. Engines reacting to flying upside down. Surfaces reacting to overspeed and so on.
how can i play beta of ms2024?
You cant
Thank you Jeff! Love your analysis
Regarding the 3 million I can still tell you if your interested. ❤
They did answer it at the expo I believe about tornados and live weather. Tornados will only appear in missions.
it was discussed differently in the interviews though
@@jfavignano In the dev stream on Wednesday they also said tornados are only in missions for now.
@@gumball20000 yeah I did watch that, this was referencing a interview Jorg had with those that went to the event.
BRLILLIANT; BRILLIANT; BRILLIANT 💯 informations and knowledge you offered us regarding the flight model. I'm an avid helicopter pilot/simmer, and the flight dynamics are one of the most interesting stuff for me to say the least.
Thank you for your wonderful work ❤!
I can't believe road traffic is still so badly implemented 5 years after MFS 2020.
Also the ATC still being absolute pants is unforgivable.
Hope BATC works well with the new sim but I'm tired of having to spend a small fortune on 3rd party software just to get what should be in the sim already.
Thank you for talking about Blackshark and how the new ground system/autogen will work. It’s been hard to get information on both the new autogen and photogrammetry and how they’re improved. Also, I understand what you mean about the new flight model and how it’s something you’ll have to try to understand how it’s improved. It’s like trying to describe why helicopters feel so good in DCS compared to MSFS 2020. It’s difficult to convey. Cheers!
Going to bet their estimates for career mode are WAY low. It's what we see in ever game - career modes are incredibly addictive.
11:35 It's crazy that a flight sim actually looks better on ground level than a first person shooter like FarCry 3
their data is useless, if they say 95 % is in free flight, ofcourse, there is no career right now...facepalm, how many will go into it depends a lot on how it is actually done, 20 % is just a very raw guess, it can be 10 or 40 also.
How will this work for Xbox users. Can’t drag and drop files.
Has a student ppl pilote
Im hopping the flight model will be more realistic has I fly tail dragger like j3 cub , jodel d112 and also sometimes aerobatic with cap 10 😊
Hope we will be able to do some nice spins , snap rolls tooo 2
I am curious about the flight model for some of the odd aircraft, things like the gyro and the powered parachute. Did they come up with proper models that fly the way these unique aircraft fly or did they just slap a new skin on a normal aircraft model?
I'm worried about me being on starlink with spotty reception sometimes for the cloud stuff
That is what the cache is for. From what I understand, you can scale it to your needs so that any streamed content from the cloud is stored locally on your computer. However, the more you fly to new areas, the more that cache will fill up. It's a balance between how much space you want to dedicate to the cache versus streaming it on demand, but I'd wait to see how it performs on your connection first before you worry.
Absolutely insane, in a very good way! Cannot wait for the release!
Excellent video Jeff... I have a question, I hope it's not stupid, will I be able to drive the car in new mfs...?
How far could you walk away from your aircraft? Could you walk the entire country without flying?
Devs said there's no limit. You can walk whereever you want and there's a keybind to teleport you back to the plane. Really looking forward to this :)
Yes you could walk anywhere pretty much 👍
Keep in mind theres no people Ai so its gonna be a dead world outside the airport
With the weather, i'm more curious on how well they do with Hurricanes and if that's gonna be in the game, i also understand that natural disasters like tornados and hurricanes are extremely hard to predict even outside of the sim, so accuracy i am not expecting at all, just be cool to see them in the live weather/online
I hope the vr support and interactions get a good overhaul. 🤞. Hopefully good hand tracking for switch interaction is on the way.
They need to use AI to capture the buildings in Bing Streetside images and use it to improve the in-game buildings.
will 2024 play on Series S?
1:12 why is the altimeter or whatever that is magnified by 2-3x on the reflection of the glass

The only thing I care about are the cloud effects where WING VISIBILITY is reduced as you go into a cloud. AND NO ONE IS MENTIONING ANYTHING OF IT AND IT"S PISSING ME OFF. ME ANGRY!
@@pacitonito1903Jeff said that it will.

No one can answer me this question, available for Xbox series s?
Its kinda ridiculous how theyve managed to make a flight simulator, the ENTIRE world, look not only 96% real from the air, but also look on par with Far Cry 5 graphic wise on foot... At least in open areas with lots of vegetation.
Yep Jorg's passion for the "digital twin" is really showing this time around
@@jfavignano Yeah, the world in MSFS is awesome and 2024 will be incredible. and that makes it all the more baffling that they still can't include an ATC as easy to use and accurate (maybe not the voices and terminology but who cares?) as FSX !
Sorry if I missed it what about the in game store will those planes move
Just an arcade game, if you want a Simulator use X-plane 11/12
Haha these xplane fanboys
yeah I am good on that after MANY years of x-plane
Is there birds flying around??
The first thing, I want to do is to fly into tornado.
Guys, what the best joystick to use with hellis ?thanks
I love the ground map on the compass!
I'm not gonna even entertain the idea of downloading this until I see non mission area terrain. As I said in your previous video, I was incredibly disappointed in how my home town looked in MSFS2020. I mean, the Lehigh Valley is not some tiny, small town in the middle of nowhere Midwest USA. Its barely a stone's throw from Philly of all places, a HUGE city, and yet the quality of the terrain was abysmal in 2020.
I should also mention, Harrisburg International Airport, in the CAPITAL CITY of the damned state, was butchered in 2020. They made it a freaking GA airport, with the GA ramp placed where the cargo and airforce terminal is irl, and then didn't even bother to add the actual terminal.
So, neat video and all, but I aint holding my breath until I see what the rest of the sim world looks like. If its anything like 2020, then I aint spending a dime on this "game".
Ai will be used to make vegetation outstanding in all areas and I believe unless it’s in a country that didn’t permit the use of good up-to-date terrain data, the terrain would look great. I also heard that ai generated buildings will look much better.
@@EmeryE2 Yeah, they said the same thing about MSFS2020 and it turned out to be a mess outside of very specific areas hand tailored to look for promo material. So, again, not gonna hold my breath until see the finished product
@@kitsunelegend7976 their AI was trash back then, but you do you.
@@kitsunelegend7976 this sim is only as good as it's data, if they don't have it I wouldn't expect miracles.
@@jfavignano Well, previous MSFSs had it, as well as Xplane11, so I know the data exists to do it right. But they still managed to get it wrong in 2020, so you cant really blame me for not having high expectations.
11:54 Thats a funny looking giraffe
The difference in graphics is incredible 😮
im early loll
Awesome video as always, love it.
Super excited for Career Mode.
Hey, question on the rolling cache requirement. 2020 saw horrible performance when this was used. Even this year with all the recent updates, I've seen forums recommend turning completely off as it introduced horrible stutters and FPS issues. Do you know why 2024s implementation of this feature is supposedly better? Or will this just be another pain point?
I don't think you can compare the two because this sim is using a new architecture and multithreading. Performance will be very different.
So looking forward to this
great info and yes the car traffic even though its the smallest detail right now, It ruins my visual flights and that needs to be fixed before they even release this. everything else looks amazing. Cant wait to try it as soon as it comes out. im very picky with the live weather im hoping its as accurate as it can be.
No extra cars for you, this isnt cities skylines 2. Gonna stick to their covid roads 😂
@@KyVisuals Lmao

Bro ten? Anything below 200 is too less
I only have 45 mbps 😭 lol It actually works fine though to be honest.
Appreciate the additional footage and info, Jeff. Very much looking forward to seeing how it plays in November.
You and me both!
Dear jeff favigno, you play Gta a lot, maybe you can convince the msfs team to implement crash effects, at least the minimum of gtaV crashes.😊 Thank you
They will not, they have a working crash model but the airplane manufacturers won't let them use it (yet)
It's not that wow tbh . So overhyped . I prefer staying with 2020 for performance & optimization. I can't weit for another 4 years to get a stable sim
go for it, I am all about multithread and the massive improvement over 2020.
Helicopter downwash compared to DCS is weak honestly
12:29 can we really purchase planes from other bundle without buying full bundle. i wonder what will be the price of these planes.
yes
Was the Xbox optimisation just for series X or also series S? I'm on series S and those memory issues make the game unplayable sometimes - I really hope they fix this
I don't use console so I didn't really spend much time learning about these things.

Will 2024 have a universal auto pilot? I’m a licensed instrument rated pilot but often I like to have the Sim just flying in the background while I work and it would be great to have a auto pilot function for all aircraft even if it’s just fly straight and level.
2 terabytes is gonna take forever to download lmao
no 2 TB is what the current sim is up to, the new sim will only be around 50GB as an install
not zoo tycoon, planet zoo, you miss a few things man.
both were used in this new sim, perhaps I got the name of the company wrong where Jorg worked but I don't think that is really such a huge miss when it has nothing to do with the sim.
There is literally no excuse for 2024 not having shared cockpit at launch. We were supposed to get it in 2020 and it never happened. It was a significant selling point for some who wanted to do realistic crew flying. They promised it and never delivered then. I’ll buy into 2024 when that gets delivered.
Gotta wait for MS2050 for that one bud

What’s the 10 additional airports In the premium deluxe edition?
I believe those are hand-crafted airports, modeled by actual 3D artists. All the others are procedurally generated using real-life map data.
