xandria had a series of wonderful singers. They are "in hiatus" now. They changed their style alot with this album. This is Manuela Kraeler. She only did one album.
Xandria had singers leave or fired them. Dianne their last singer has a band Ex Libris and is going to be on the new Ayreon album. When Dianne came out about how Xandria treated her the other previous singers came out in support of her.
Hey! How come there aren't any comments already? Anyways, glad to see you dive into different symphonic metal bands that aren't as known as Nightwish or Epica. I've loved Xandria for very long, when they still were fronted by Lisa Middelhauve, thought their sound wasn't as polished as when they hired Manuela (the amazing lady in the video). They unfortunately seem to have some management problems that push their members to really unhealthy ways, if we are to believe the 4 lead singers they had. The two albums they did after this one with the amazing Dianne van Giersbergen are also super good. I particularly love Theater of Dimensions in its entirety. You've got that Pirates of the Caribbean feel.
Management problems would be to put mildly and the same could be said about Sirenia. At least, Dianne still had Ex Libris as something to get back to, in the end.
@@rileyxxxx It has, hasn't it? Well, I like their sounds then and now, but personal taste is... well, personal lol. Maybe you could try and listen to their more recent records in full to really feel if you like it or not?
@@Immortall1408 I'm not familiar with the situation with Sirenia. I just casually listen to them from time to time, but they also seem to change vocalists really often. And yes, at least Dianne had Ex Libris! And at least her time in Xandria gave her more exposure too! I discovered Ex Libris when she joined Xandria, and since then, she's also collabed with other bigger names of the genre and featuring on the latest Ayreon record and their Into the Electric Castle live show too. And seems like Manuela is also working on her own project right now, though I've not closely followed, I'll admit.
Yea I've loved Xandria since Ravenheart came out. I loved Lisa the most but I wished they had done more with this singer, she was great. Diane was great as well
That's Xandria for you, always sounding like Nightwish or Epica when they try to play hard. I like their first two albums though, nice symphonic gothy rock efforts
I think that Neverworld's End was the record that really tried to emulate old school Nightwish indeed. Sacrificium and Theater of Dimensions were transitioning to a more separate sound, though. In the time of Lisa Middelhauve, though, it sounded nothing like Nightwish. They were less polished, yes, but at least they had their own thing. And Lisa's vocals were quite different than the usual "soprano with lyrical technique" singer thing. As for your comment Arvo, it seems like it's not only a thing with their vocalists... If we are to believe all 4 of the lead singers (and if they all say the same thing, it tends to point to a thing that's really happening), management is poop and they push their members ragged, with guitarists's hands bleeding, drummers having back problems, all the members having to have another job on the side and being exhausted because management doesn't listen to their complaints...
My favorite Xandria songs are still : "Forevermore" and "The Dream Is Still Alive", they sound a lot like old Nightwish ballads (Sleeping Sun) with Tarja. And i think they were released when Nightwish had Anette as singer what made them even better at that time for me. Sadly the singer (Manuela Kraller) only lasted for that one album.
They went through so many singers it’s hard to keep them straight but yes this Manuela. The boys didn’t play well with the girls, lots of accusations over the years. Too bad, great group in its time.
Xandria is one of my favorite symphonic metal bands, the only bad thing is that they don't stop changing vocalists and that's a bit negative for me. Hard to forget Manuela and Dianne ... I think it's about time they reacted to Therion, right? The band that started this genre. I would recommend the song "Son of the Sun - live gothic DVD 2007"
Manuela was the best for me, i totally love "Forevermore" and "The Dream Is Still Alive" especially since they were released in the Anette Area of Nightwish and sound sooo much like old Nightwish with Tarja.
This band is fantastic but the have lost lead singers often. Last one,, Dianne, was fantastic but she got sick during tour and they let her go after two great albums. Big mistake.

That was old singer Manuela Kraller, she did a collaboration with Dark Sarah( another metal operah Finnish singer) Memories Fall 😊
My favorite line up .... Manuela, what a great singer.... the album she is on is IMO. Xiandra’s best

Wow! Valentine! Thanks:)
Manuelaaaaa i adore this song ❤❤❤
Bullet for my valentine

indeed, I used to like em back in the days.... time has gone by quickly... never heard about the vocalist change. dont rly like it now.

Love them top 3 band 😅
Xandria - Nightfall with Dianne van Giersbergen
Amo Xandria 😍😍
Such an old-school Nightwish vibe. If you did more Tarja era reactions you would understand why I said that.
That's Xandria for you, always sounding like Nightwish or Epica when they try to play hard. I like their first two albums though, nice symphonic gothy rock efforts
totally correct, they also cnt keep the singers in, Manuela was 2. and lasted some 2 y in this band, Dianne a bit more

@@ArvoR It's a growing trend it seems. Sirenia, and Visions of Atlantis both have had multiple singers. Both, I believe, are on their fourth vocalist.
@@alexojeda9048 It is a troubling trend, if it is to continue.
i do love this bad.
I liked Dianne van Giersbergen way more. Check out Xandria - Nightfall and Call of Destiny. It's so much more epic.
Dianne is my love, but I think Manuela sounds really good too.
Some Therion will come??????
Xandria, very cool. Please do "the lost elysion" by Xandria
React Sirenia The Path To Decay or Seven Widows weep, is a great gothic/symphnic metal band 💜
Eleine - As I Breathe. New video from an excellent band.
Netherlands has the hottest Metal Female Singer's... 😍😘🥰
Isn't she German?
The Band it's From Germany but She's Dutch!!!
@@jccasts Manuela is German.
@@cancelled_user Dianne van Giersbergen...
@@jccasts I know who is Dianne. I love her.
But the singer in this video is Manuela Kraller, not Dianne.
Visions of Atlantis - Heroes of the Dawn, official live.
The Nomad's Crow to Xandria
Xandria - Eversleeping
Try Xandria - Save My Life. Some early stuff with a less operatic vocal.
I love this band. It reminds me of the early days of Nightwish! 🖤
Please kindly check "Nightfall"
And "Call of Destiny" as well!

Please react to Ravenheart by Xandria, their first singer.
xandria nightfall
The name of the vocalist is Dianne van Giersbergen.
No this is Manuela Kraller.
No relation to Anneke, by the way - which is odd, since they both sing with Ayreon.
That is not her. Singer before her I believe
They went through so many singers it’s hard to keep them straight but yes this Manuela. The boys didn’t play well with the girls, lots of accusations over the years. Too bad, great group in its time.
Its Manuella and sadly, Dianne is no longer with them too!

GREAT German folk metal band.
Suggesting their longer songs like Flammenrausch.

I really miss Xandria: not Lisa, not Manuela, not Dianne, it's so sad.
Please check your mic volume before recording. You're barely audible.
