Usually I input it right after the cinematic camera ends, should work if no other action is taken by Baiken at the moment. Careful because the window is a little tight, but you can spam the input and still get away with it
If you’re curious as to how to beat this, the parry is a frame 1-7 catch. This means that if you delay something past that window, it will hit. Also using projectiles where you can helps
can't exactly delay a super after activation, and since a lot of them come out after a cutscene the timing is always going to be the same so Baiken can always parry it if the player is good enough. Of course, the counterplay to this is ,y'know, not throwing out supers in neutral.
@@glasslicker2829 the gap between Kick to Heavy gatlings Is usually sufficient, or any punch/kick into special cancels. Basically, if a punch button would punish the gap, it’s big enough to beat parry.
Can she parry the follow-up to Anji's parry super. Like if he parries a tatami mat while you're still in neutral? I've tried it a few times but my timing might have been off
I tested it out right now with her H. Kabari at long range, and it does work. However, it looks like if Anji activates the full super(close range version where he hits more times) you can't stop him. I might be wrong but it looks like you can only parry the long range version where he hits twice, but no one activates that super at long range really.
@@chrism.5961 No one activates that super at long range but projectiles can trigger the two hit at point-blank from my experience. Idk if air tatami is a thing in strive bc I don't have the Baiken dlc but if it is you could probably catch anji into long range parry with it, or _possibly_ grounded tatami at point-blank.
There's been a few changes with season 2 like Giganter Kai persisting as a projectile even after close range hit. Are you planning on doing a follow-up video to see if any of the parries have changed?
He stays in bloodrage because he has to finish the overdrive animation to leave the bloodrage state. Parrying it in any form prevents that from happening.
I believe Chipp moves way too fast to actually be able to pull of the parry after the first hit, and the fact that he climbs the screen makes it basically impossible after the second hit. When Axl does his timestop, it's basically a screenwide attack that does no damage, so Baiken will basically just drop the parry altogether and be free to hit
Really late response but yeah, she can parry the dolphin. The timing's differ between S and H versions and I don't think it's worth risking the crumple hit, but if you can read the dolphin you can stop it
wow. as a person who's new to gg this is so insane and I hate it but I love it also. im guessing she can parry Bridget's super? (the big teddy bear one)
I'll have to get back to you on that one, but I believe the first yoyo attacks from that super are fully parryable , but Roger's (the teddy bear) slam follow up is probably an unparryable projectile. What I need to see is how fast Roger's slam comes out, because it might be able to punish Baiken even if she parry's if it's delayed enough.
I just tested it, and parrying Bridget in that super will have Roger's slam come out in the middle of the animation, making Baiken invincible to the slam followup. And since Roger is a separate projectile, he can't be parried
I did some testing, and it looks like Testament's overdrives are unparryable. I would've expected Calamity One to be parryable like mortobato, but she can't stop either of Testament's supers
