OK... I have just took the last 5 hours of my life to watch the last 8 videos in a row. I'm from Newfoundland and you even showed me places for the first time. I love your videos man, super entertaining. From all the experiences you have had and all the places you have seen. I'm subscribing to your patreon!!! Just the gaia waypoint data of all the places you have camped is worth 7 CAD, not to mention your excellent videos to pair. Never stop.
I haven't commented in a long time, but my family and I watch every week. Your videos have come a long way from the early days. They put me in that feeling like when your on vacation and you wake up in some cool place knowing that you the only place you have to be is wherever you want to go... and there's no rush to get there. You really get it more than many of the other "overlanding" videographers out there. Your videos are about the places you go and the difficulties getting there, and not so much about all the gadgets that many people can't really justify having anyway. Keep going and safe travels!!
Of all the four wheel channels I follow you really are the best for travel. I swear I know Moab like the back of my hand despite never having been there. That’s not a bad thing but I really love seeing a place I know nothing about. For that I thank you.
Chris I love that you’re shooting the details in the landscape, patterns in the trees, shrubbery etc. You’ve become extremely proficient at camera work over the course of your travels, perhaps a book on your methods... Oh and that breakfast sandwich looked tasty... Stay safe out there.
Thanks Chris for sharing your journey with us. For fun, you should post a "Best Of" or "Blooper" episode. PS... I like all of the camera angles, camera work, camera drive and hike byes, and yes even the "Groovy new camera angles" Be safe and Keep on Jeepin On.............
'"Fixed itinerarys stifle adventure". Great ! so true. I find that it is often the deviation from the itinerary that provides the most satisfying experience.
Reminds me of our motorcycle journey last year. We came to Blanc Sablon on the M/V Bella Desgagnés from Quebec stopping along a number of outports not accessible by road. Last year the ferry from Blanc Sablon was an old ferry on it’s last legs called the Apollo which we took to Newfoundland after exploring south eastern Labrador. It has been fun following you through the Maritimes and Newfoundland as we have been to a lot of the same places.
For the last couple of years we have gone through Newfoundland as part of a round the world trip from Australia ( yes a bit unusual ) but as we lived in Canada many years back we head too Vancouver and just work east and end up in Newfoundland which then is a short overnight five hour overnight flight into Heathrow , London . Newfoundland and Labrador is just so different and Labrador is on the maybe list for next time , Looks great .
Chris- Another great video thank you. I was told a long time ago by a Trans Alaskan Highway driver that you should slow for the big trucks coming at you on those offroad highways to limit your dust cloud and generally they slow too in similar courtesy. If you don't slow, they don't slow and most of those truck drivers know they have a pretty solid chance of breaking your windshield by throwing rocks off their tires when they are travelling at speed.
Great video, yet again. But I still think you need a furball co-pilot. I would recommend seeing if a Retired/Retiring Military Working dog is available. Already trained. Mature. Used to vehicles, moving all the time, and the wide open. :)
I enjoy seeing those little fishing villages you pass thru. I think it'd be cool to find a tavern and have a brew with some of the locals. C-YA next week
Not sure if you will see this comment but watch when you go over the bump @7:08 your front axle is making a funny clank, my want to get it checked. Just looking out for a fellow Jeeper. Keep up the great content! Cheers
That pinware river one BEST Atlantic Salmon rivers in the world. Your US president bush travels every year to fish those rivers in Labrador, in particular the "Eagle" great vid Chris. You know in weeks you could be Into significant snow up there right? Take care safe travels watch for moose.
Hi Chris, I love how well put togeather and functional your storage and living space is in the Jeep. I have to admit i cringe every time you pull out the water rotopac and put the funnel on and pour. Looks very awkward. Id love to suggest some alternatives - maybe a compact tap in the cap - to make it easier for you!
Seems to not have many trees in that part of the world. Must be due to the wind and cold. By the way. That under carriage camera angle was really good actually.
I really enjoy watching your videos. This one definitely Reminded me of my Overlanding trip through North East Canada 3 years ago. I could see on your tracks that you went to North West River. That’s where I ended up staying for the night (by the bridge) after multiple unsuccessful attempts to find a spot around Goose Bay. A local retired “labradorite stone” artist gave me a tour of his amazing house near by and even gave me some homemade smoke salmon (and labradorite stones 😬). Best breakfast ever the following morning. Don’t feel too bad, I broke my GoPro lense too last year 😂 You gotta try these cool angles 🎥 Now I always carry a spare one 🙂 Bon voyage !
Great video. Enjoyed it very much. A trip I had once planned to do. First time viewer, subscribed. One small observation. Watch your editing. Around the 4:20 min. mark (Bardor Falls) you said you had turned around and were heading East, however for the next 8 min. the ocean was on your left. Not till around the 13 min. mark did it flip over to the right side.
While you're there, check out the military base. There's an outdoor aviation museum by the airport. Aside from that, You could drive up Hamilton River Road all the way to Northwest River, about 20 miles north of Goose Bay. It's the northermost paved trail in Labrador and there are some very scenic areas once you cross the bridge.
The groovy go pro shot was great. As soon as it came up I said he must have plexiglass in front of the camera. It looked good in spite of the fractured lens cover.
Epic adventures Chris, you should get some drone footage it would be awesome. I have a DJI Mavic zoom and love it. Very user friendly. Thanks for your efforts.
Hey Chris, love your videos very much. I love traveling jeeps and not the rock climbing beat up type. Just a thought I have had over this years videos, you should go North in the summer and South in the winter. I think you would find that much more comfortable. Thanks again
Chris, maybe you should do a video on effects of "overcaffeination". You are good test subject :) cause you spend so much time alone in wilderness, Granted you have the camera to talk to but it would be interesting to see how you react to the coffee, when you are alone.
Screw in the tire is about the quickest and easiest of DIY fixes. A repair kit costs $10 or less and the fix can be as quick as 10 minutes. You might want to check the next auto parts store. I've even seen them in grocery stores in the US.
That GoPro lens cover seems like it will cost more to replace than getting a hardshell clear plastic case for the whole camera . Aren't most of those clear cases waterproof also ? Awesome adventure , love watching your videos , thanks for sharing the adventure .
Just returned from Newfoundland ours selves, didn’t have time on this trip for the Trans Labrador road. If you have a chance visit the cultural interpretive center and Hudson Bay Museum in Northwest River.
Chris, We'll be following you next summer in a 4x4 Chevrolet pickup and 17 ft trailer. Are there boondocking sites for slightly larger rigs and stock 4x4 trucks. Thanks!
I really can't recall enjoying anything as much as I have these video adventures, thank you Chris...
Love your video series I have started over from the beginning so I can watch them all.
your videos are fantastic!
Find it very relaxing watching your videos!
This JK sees more action in a month than most will ever see in their whole life .
Wonderfull Chris !,Always a pleasure,Thank you for that vidéo 🙂,Great job ! .
20:55 Best quote ever..."A fixed itinerary stifles adventure."

"I was over-caffeinated and didn't think things through" LOL Great stuff as always, Chris.
Another great video. Looks to be very rugged in that area.............and them potholes!
Thanks Chris. You are showing me areas of Canada that I have never seen.
Sick setup with the cooking area inside, very cool.
Lighthouse shot with the wind and water...awesome
Another great video.
Every Saturday morning I get up, make coffee, and enjoy the weeks video. Thanks for that Chris.

This guy gives “ self contained “ a whole new definition.
Chris, Thank you for sharing. Amazing scenery / photography. God bless.

'"Fixed itinerarys stifle adventure". Great ! so true. I find that it is often the deviation from the itinerary that provides the most satisfying experience.
Thanks for the ride along. I always enjoy you video travels on Friday night. David from the Gold Country of California.

Thank you for finding the metal to metal noise! Haha
Finally discovered what was on your dash. Perception! 😜👍

Just happened on your adventure videos. What an adventure. We plan on Newfoundland and Labrador next year. Please share your scrambled egg recipe.
some of the best fishing in the world there
😎 Over Caffeinated !! Well Chris at least you aren’t afraid to try
Great video, yet again. But I still think you need a furball co-pilot. I would recommend seeing if a Retired/Retiring Military Working dog is available. Already trained. Mature. Used to vehicles, moving all the time, and the wide open. :)
Yo - Venture. You're making a trip ive wanted to do for 30 years. Thanks for taking me along. (from an old fart in Texas).
I enjoy seeing those little fishing villages you pass thru. I think it'd be cool to find a tavern and have a brew with some of the locals. C-YA next week

Got up at 4:30 AM just to see if your video was posted yet. Now I can start my Saturday 😘👍
The Trans Labrador Highway was completed this past July 2022. The only gravel sections are in Quebec connecting to the rest of Canada!
Just received my cheezeit holder (enjoy the $5 - grab a beer) we love the adventure you share.
Very entertaining, Chris! Good luck on your travels!

One of your best yet, most enjoyable.

2nd!!! Cheers from Tucson, AZ!
Chris, thank you for the adventure... I'd love to take that trip...
Some great shots from n this one. Nice job! And the under Jeep shot was worth it!
Great to see another Pennsylvanian about. Since I’ve been away from the Commonwealth, I can spot those inspection stickers from a mile away
In BC Canada a chainsaw is considered mandatory off road equipment.
Or a sharp axe and a file. A saw is definitely preferred.

Great video as usual. I don't mind wind so much unless it's blowing dust/sand. Those 220 grit meals can be taxing!!
Great video as always. Very jealous!
Next you should visit Labradoodle. A very friendly place with a good temperament.
Rubicon V and no shedding.
I’m new to this channel, love it. Does Chris have merch? He should sell a shirt that says “we are happy”
15:50 is really pretty. The red was really vibrant.
Great video. Enjoyed it very much. A trip I had once planned to do. First time viewer, subscribed. One small observation. Watch your editing. Who else but a #jeeplifer would be holding a sandwich in one hand and sticking their fingers in the tire tread with the other?? 🤣 Love it!

Your adventure makes me feel so relaxed after shitty week at work :)))
The old highway was super neat
You may have broken the glass but the shot was awesome loved it while it lastes
The groovy go pro shot was great. As soon as it came up I said he must have plexiglass in front of the camera. It looked good in spite of the fractured lens cover.
Epic adventures Chris, you should get some drone footage it would be awesome. I have a DJI Mavic zoom and love it. Very user friendly. Thanks for your efforts.
Martin Riggs but then he’d look just like every other UA-camr...
I’m surprised you don’t carry a tire repair kit.
Hey Chris, love your videos very much. I love traveling jeeps and not the rock climbing beat up type. Just a thought I have had over this years videos, you should go North in the summer and South in the winter. I think you would find that much more comfortable. Thanks again
Great stuff Chris watch out for those robertson screws there every wheres in Canada. Lol
thanks for another great video, could you please show more maps of where you're going and where you been thanks
The roads south of Labrador City will give your Jeep a good workout.
"Over-caffeinated"... I was wondering why you put your go-pro there. Great footage!
I was literally asking what camera you were using, and right on cue...you answered. Thanks for the info!
Good thing, since Chris never answers comments and questions here 🤷
mmman who wouldnt want to travel north america in a jeep
good on ya
thanks for the vids
Chris, maybe you should do a video on effects of "overcaffeination". You are good test subject :) cause you spend so much time alone in wilderness, Granted you have the camera to talk to but it would be interesting to see how you react to the coffee, when you are alone.
The new angle was awesome! Don’t give up. Maybe a piece of plexi glass in front of the go pro to protect it?

if you haven't travelled the Tans Labrador Highway lately, the road has finally been paved between Cartwright and Happy Valley Goose Bay
Impressive ! a great drive . Show us goose bay . Any parks ?
I thought the entire road would be paved by now. At least that was the rumor when I drove it 3 years ago.
Love it!!! Eating a sandwich while inspecting the tire.
As usual another great video!
If you have a chance visit the cultural interpretive center and Hudson Bay Museum in Northwest River.
great stuff
I just got home from work. Ohhh yea buds :)
Chris, We'll be following you next summer in a 4x4 Chevrolet pickup and 17 ft trailer. Are there boondocking sites for slightly larger rigs and stock 4x4 trucks. Thanks!
