man, the only thing GT7 is missing from previous GT games is muscle V8 idle sound in game 😭
Chevelle SS was in GT since GT4. Meanwhile, the PS3 games reused the GT4 model of it, and now returns with a full remodel from the ground-up in GT7.
If you’d hate the 2 other cars from this new GT7 update, just take this Chevelle to rest yourself easily.
Also, to those who said “No gearshift animation”, the car has an Automatic gearbox.

In game the classic pony/ muscle cars actually behave quite well in the corners: although at the corners' exit it is necessary to be very light the throttle, this one, the 69 Pontiac GTO, the 70 Coronet, the 65 Shelby Mustang... all have quite balanced handling, with moderate understeer at entry and relatively good grip, considering the original tyres (comfort medium, whilst modern fast sedans/coupes like the M4 are endowed with the sports hard compound).
Really the myth "those cars can't corner" is a myth. Traction is tricky, but cornering they do corner decently.
Maybe it's a myth in game, but in real life it would make no sense for them to handle good considering the weight, the lack of 50/50 weight distribution and the tyres/suspension setups they have. And that's ok, they are not meant to rival porsches at the nurburgring.
That LS6 big block is music to my ears.

It's 3spd automatic I think the manual variant works with that
I dont understand how they (occasionally )got auto transmission shifts right in GT4 (eg. the SL55) but have this awful shift sound in GT7
They still can't get it right
Please do a comparison gameplay in GT6 and GT7 with this car.
Turns out this car shares the same bug as the LFA in this game, it uses a manual transmission when it shouldn't
It is fantastic, the only thing is that this was modelled on a Chevelle eith an automatic transmission not a four on the floor. Thats the only thing about the model thats a bit disappointing.

I really hate one thing in general in GT7. When you step on gas you hear there is something missing in engine sound. It's not fluid.

Uh Gran Turismo never considered itself “The Real Racing Simulator” but rather the “The Real Driving Simulator”. So yeah despite having a lot of racing elements like GT-categorized cars, Gran Turismo has always been a driving simulator as there’s cars ranging from basic economical cars to hypercars and concepts
