Kanan Dume Road (Post Franklin Fire) - Malibu
Kanan Dume Road (Post Franklin Fire) - Malibu
Malibu / Santa Monica Mountains / Los Angeles
Episode 198
Kanan Dume Road is a scenic route in Malibu, California that connects the Santa Monica Mountains to the Pacific Coast Highway. Movies shot on the famed Kanan Dume Road include the 1978 “Heaven Can Wait” remake, 1998’s “Deep Impact” (in a scene where Elijah Wood bids his parents farewell at the Ark Cave), the opening credits sequence of “Poltergeist” (depicting an encroaching suburbia) and the horror-fantasy “Phantasm,” which features the corner of Kanan and Agoura Roads.
This video was shot after the recent Franklin fire which burned over 4,000 acres in Malibu, however the Kanan Dume stretch seems to have been unharmed as most of the damage was east of here.

Do Topanga Bld ( 27 ) ......
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed!
For a place with no rain, L.A. is incredibly green.
A beautiful day in the neighborhood... 😃
Doesn't look like Wonderland Ave. to me.

@Everyday On Tour - when I watch other driving videos, I usually turn down the sound and put me some good driving music on while I “ ride” ( watch 😁) , but not here, your 80’s synth music is so perfect with riding around the LA area, reminds me of when I went to LA ( from here in Memphis ) to hang with my brother in 1986, loved LA ever since ! Enjoying your videos !
I'm glad you're enjoying the channel and that it brought back good memories! … The music seems to be kinda divisive among folks who watch, but pretty much everything is these days so no surprise I guess 🤣. Cheers!
Lookin good!
Feelin’ Good!
Paisagens urbanas extremamente ordenadas e amplas!!! Apreciado o vídeo!!❤
Glad you enjoyed! 👍
😂😂😂😂😂 solo cosas materiales la familia es lo mas inportantes cuantos millonarios no tienen su familia conpleta El trayecto en carro dura muy Poco ....
I have never been in a situation where having money made things worse. 🤣🤣
Don't people put their trash barrels away?
That’s the most common question I get with these videos, and unfortunately I’ve got no idea why the barrels seem to linger.
Nice! Back in the mid 90's, I had friends that lived on Revello Dr. Was always a beautiful area, the Palisades.
Beautiful area for sure, a great place if I only had the coin to afford it lol. Cheers!
@@EverydayOnTour Without a doubt. I'll NEVER forget my week and a half visit with them. It was like entering a different world. The narrow windy streets, the beautiful homes, the sunsets. Wish I could afford it too
Ferrari!!

Also, Sunset blvd in West Hollywood runs roughly just a few blocks west of Doheny in the west to Crescent Heights in the east.
Once you are east of Crescent Heights you are in Hollywood.
I used to live just south of Sunset blvd in the 9000 block for 25 years. I saw a lot of changes.
Whatever one sells for more cause I’m not keeping up with those damn bills
Whoever liked my comment you should
Glad you’re enjoying the videos! I remember watching Charlie’s Angels as a kid but I don’t remember a whole lot, I had no idea Marina Del Rey was at the center of it all. I’ve been meaning to get out there again for a video in better weather, when I do I’ll have to see if any of the landmarks from the show still exist. Cheers!
Wilshire Boulevard, I was like, is one of the most iconic streets in Los Angeles. I was like, it stretches for miles, connecting downtown LA to Santa Monica. I was like, the road is lined with skyscrapers, historic landmarks, and trendy shops. I was like, the Miracle Mile section is especially famous for its museums and Art Deco architecture. I was like, cruising down Wilshire feels like taking a journey through LA’s diverse culture and history. I was like, it’s a mix of old Hollywood glamour and modern city vibes. I was like, one of the coolest things about Wilshire is the variety of neighborhoods it cuts through. I was like, you’ll find Koreatown bustling with energy and incredible food. I was like, then there’s Beverly Hills with its luxurious mansions and high-end boutiques. I was like, the street is always alive with people, cars, and the hum of the city. I was like, no matter where you go on Wilshire, there’s always something new to explore. I was like, it’s truly a quintessential part of Los Angeles.
This my hometown
Quero que saiba que estou assistindo todos os touros, e estão, como sempre maravilhosos, com trilhas sonoras maravilhosas, estou assistindo pela smart tv, por isso não tenho comentado muito, mas tenho assistido a todos, parabéns 🎉
I'm glad you're enjoying them! Cheers!
Amazing!!❤
Looking forward to fully watching this later this evening.
Enjoy!
Ya know here in Indiana after you follow a Cop for a while they do have the right to pull you over lol.
He could try, but there aren’t a lot of places to pull over on the hill lol.

Any chance you could one day do a video of where Pan Pacific Auditorium ( "Xanadu" ) once stood?
Yeah, I can get out there and roam around, so stay tuned! … They semi-recently sold the CBS lot that was famous for the ‘Price is Right’, so that whole area may be redeveloped soon, I’ll try to get out there before they potentially break ground on whatever they’ve got planned.
@@EverydayOnTour I was sad to read that some of the older CBS soundstages MIGHT end up be torn down. I hope not. So much history at CBS.
I thought I heard they were trying to get landmark status for the Price is Right studio but the rest were on the chopping block, but who knows.
I love your channel.
Glad you enjoy it!
I grew up on 14:50 a block after Jupiter in Devista Dr ,
I’d imagine that was a good spot to grow up, especially with all the Rock & Roll royalty that lived in the area.
@@EverydayOnTour well I am only 33, but still got to see a bunch of artist in the area
Thank you for sharing, Excellent video, I loved it. ❤🙏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏
Glad you enjoyed! … this area is finally starting to show signs of final construction, so next time I hit this stretch it’ll probably look completely different.
I love the Laurel Canyon Tours .I enjoy it so much especially now in the Winter Time when its just cold and gray the whole time here in Germany I watch your Videos every Morning .
Glad you’re enjoying the channel! This time of year things start to get a little grey here too, luckily there are still pockets of days with sunshine that I can work around the blah days.
Good one. would like to visit that same area in a helicopter thanks
This is a complete waste just driving around. What a piss poor video. Too many out there that get to the point. Don't bother.
So close to where I used to visit my family when I was younger. They lived on Carmar Drive right above Laurel Canyon Dog Park. Would love a tour of that area if you ever make it up there for nostalgia. Love your vids! Always brings back so many memories of all my LA visits!
Very cool, that’s a great area to grow up I’d imagine… and yeah that area is in my wheelhouse so I’ll capture that neighborhood soon, stay tuned!

Melrose in the 90s was bad ass.
Didn't the brady's drive Pontiacs? 455 pontiacs.
Frank Lloyd wrong.
The TV show is forgettable. The Plymouth wagon is cool
Being from Indiana I still can't believe the size of LA. The businesses. And still how clean it always looks.
LA is certainly sprawling. As for how clean it looks that’s primarily what I cover here, but ultimately LA is like most major cities, plenty of good & bad to go around.
