- The NEW M5 Competition has received some updates from BMW for 2021. Under the hood you are getting a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 that is producing 617HP & mated to a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. Getting the power to the ground is AWD but the M5 can be switched to RWD only. On the outside you will find a redesigned front fascia, wheels, and rear bumper area. On the inside there is a high level of materials, technology, and the perfect driving environment.

Family petrol car under 3 seconds to 60mph? It’s a monster. Since they added 4 wheel drive and it gets all its power down the results are awesome.

Awesome video, Joe. I’m glad BMW has perfected its V8. My boss had a 2011 X5 with the early 4.4L design and it leaked and consumed oil like nobody’s business-but boy did it haul!! The new ones are not only more reliable, but even more beastly.

I absolutely love the look of that car. The black on white is freaking amazing. 0-60 in 2.9 seconds in a sedan? For real? The interior is so tasteful and I love all the carbon fiber inside and out. The roar of that V8 motor is like music to my ears. Absolutely great review!

@Ty Ty well BMW's are made with "TOP QUALITY" materials supposedly yet they're the most unreliable. GT500 will gain value or hold it's value while the M5 will lose it.
