Fuel pump relay socket had a loose connection for a pin, I noticed the arc spot on one of the relay prongs. Gave it a squeeze and put the relay back in and no more issue for me. 97 chevy k2500 5.7.
So when the car got hot is when it was shutting off? I've got a 07 GMC envoy Denali doing this. I'll let the car cool some and it will start right back up.
@@RobertSmith-wh5jb my car is doing the same I have Yukon 2004 when I drive it will shut off after 30mnts and I let it cool down for 3 or 4 hrs then it will start again. Any idea for the cause? I already replaced crank sensor but still same
@@lisawilson8504 I did. I had a broken wire inside of the fuse block under the hood. Everything I read said that the fuse block would need to be replaced, however I was able to take it apart and find the broken wire using a multimeter. I patched the wire with solder for the time being and it had lasted so far with no issues.
@@lisawilson8504 I dont know if you know anyone who has an OBD2 scanner, but if you do and can get them to scan the car for codes...if you have any referencing pcm low voltage and throttle body codes..those were the ones that I was getting off mine.
My 2002 Honda Odyssey literally shuts off while driving.. It takes 10-15mins before it starts again.. My mechanic said it's not a big deal but, my van continues to die while driving.. I've bought 2 new gas caps, fuel injection cleaner. I love my mechanic (Cal's Auto 😊❤️) and they do great work and never charges me when I get it checked. Any suggestions on what could be wrong? He says it's a sensor that deals with how much smog my van puts out.. He said if we lived in a smog check state, (like California.) I'd have to fix it. Since we don't, I shouldn't worry about it.. 😭 My van only does short distance trips like Kroger on Main Street and Hamilton Rd and it's a gamble for that distance.. Any suggestions??
April 8,2024 my car shuts off while driving and won’t start to it to a garage and said it was a blown fuse I drove it for the day and it did it again and brought it to another place no check engine light on and there saying it is the power control module any ideas because there telling me there not even sure if that is what it is
Sooo you never figured out your no crank / stalling out problem even if you got it running? Mine is a 15 Ford Fusion SE 2.5 L and just started having these problems of sometimes cranking sometimes not. Very intermittent. And when I do it shuts off after a while.
@@TheLifeofaMan now working perfectly normal. I took it to two shops and they both read 20 and 22 codes. Didn’t know what it was. Took it another shop and ran perfectly normal. Couldn’t read any codes. They couldn’t find anything wrong with car. They had it there running on idle and turn it off then on again acted fine not one single malfunction

Mann great video. I just had the ecbn problem. After fixing it i tried to start it and it only runs for 1 second or less.
Theres a sliced wire or grounded out short somewhere in your fuel pump wiring. Same happening to me.
Turns out it was the connector fatiqued and not always making contact.

It’s the starter, for a strange reason Kia bad starter will cause the car to shut off even the it shouldn’t.
So this is a Corvette and my issues was the fuel pump relay.
My Colorado cut off at 70 lights one dash out want do anything
Cant help with that issues, but a lot of older chevys have mass air flow faults that trigger limp mode. Could be something like that.
You have a wiring issue otherwise you won't face that problem!

C6 Corvette. This is a common problem on those.

British car’s are not far behind!!
The French cars are some of the worst!!

If it sent you checking your fuses and relays? Then it was helpful in at least eliminating another variable...
