I ran into the exact same issue when I did the motor mounts in my 05. Engine jacked until it touches, and sub frame lowered to the end of the bolts and still just not enough room to lift the old mounts out. I removed the brackets like you did except I also on one side dropped the short cat pipe and just BARELY was able to rotate the old bracket/mount out and the new ones in. I thought it was impossible but after several attempts they just went. Man it was murder.
They work good, been in since this vid and still have then in. It for sure make it louder in side the cabin. No more than I track the car I kind of regret, but then again I don't...Some days I hate them, some days I am glad I have them when I am doing a donut and ripping off the line.

How have the Hinson motor mounts worked out for you any regrets
