WordPress CSV imports are easy with WP All Import, and even importing more complicated XML files to WordPress can easily be done with a simple drag & drop interface.
Importing CSV files to WordPress is as straightforward as having a CSV file, or creating one in Excel. When importing an XML files, the process is exactly the same as importing CSV files, except you can also import the attributes from the XML, not just the elements. So all your data, no matter how it is stored, can be imported.

I'm confused.. this plugin seems like it only imports posts? My problem is that regular WP Importer isn't importing any pages - how can I do that with this?
+Christina B It imports Pages too... you can choose Pages from the dropdown in Step 1. If you have a WXR file that will work with the regular WP Importer... you should NOT use WP All Import. You should get the default WP Importer working.

You can import products but cannot import Users and Orders with complete details. Is there any video tutorial or specific documentation on how to import orders and users? Thanks in advance.

+Soflyy Thanks for your response. I'm using wp import pro version 4.2.7 and I just noticed that even the short product description was not imported when I import the products. But the content was imported. Also when I was trying to import users, there was no Users in the dropdown list (such as Posts, Pages, Woocommerce Products etc). Is this because of the plugin version we are using? I'm a WordPress developer and my client just hand over the plugins along with exported zip files and I still have to ask them the access to submit a ticket in the support page.

since i can't find an easy way to ask for a question please someone that knows answer me this: can this process be created once saved and then executed automatically on a scheduler type mode and only import new non existing products and update stock on existing ones? i am interested to import custom xml from a completely different website no wc to mine that is wc as part of an affiliate program with the other site. thanks

is there a easier way to import? after working hours on excel files, second hustle: drag & drop? Shouldn't it auto-detect all the fields on the file instead of doing it manually?
There is not an automatic option when an event can have actually uncountable different options. If a field is being called EXACTLY like the respective in the WP database, that should be an option. But I have met a dozen of price fields (in the same node) and probably there are 1000s of different XML file setups out there multiplied by 1000s of clients wanting to do something in a different way. So, yeah, manually is the way to go.

This is done by themes or plugins.
Why don’t the additional fields and images work for me, the image in the test works, but after import it doesn’t, why does it work so simple for you, but I don’t?
it won't work for me either. it detects the images when i do the test but the images aren't added to the post.

Thanks for the tutorial! I was able to add a database with ease! However, when I do a search of the database it creates a post for each individual item that pulls up in the results. I end up with several unnecessary posts. I'm using it for a genealogy site to search for ancestors only. Is there a way to keep the data into one post only? Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Is there a way to just import a Posts WXR XML file from the WordPress importer, as posts, the way the WP Importer used to do (now broken)? I tried and it wants me to map everything to the correct spot. Is there no default values to just import everything as would be expected from posts on another site?
+Tevya Washburn - FS No, the whole point of WP All Import is that it's configurable. But if you have a WXR file, you should not use WP All Import, you should use the WordPress Importer. I doubt the WordPress Importer is entirely broken, and although we frequently hear about reliability problems with it, if you get paid help from someone I'd imagine they can get it/your server working properly without too much trouble.

Hello. I just purchased the Pro version with user addon. I am using a CSV file to import users. The file has a ID column set, but it is not properly mapping user IDs for new users. So instead of importing a user with ID 6542, it is using auto increment based off of how many users are already in the system and setting the user ID to something like 2 (or whatever the next available number might be. I can't seem to find an option to make this work the way I need it to. Can you please help asap? Thank you!

Do I always need to input info for SKU and the PRICE columns manually through editing after the import is done or can it be done on STEP 2 or STEP 3 page by dragging the SKU and the PRICE from the excel and put them in one of the empty spots? Because multiple products come with different sku number and prices

+Michael Burney You can import both CSVs and XMLs from URLs. Just upload the CSV somewhere like Dropbox - then enter the URL to it in Step 1 of WP All Import.

I have no idea WHY is so complicated to have an automized and simplified solution - instead of dragging multiple fields - one by one.
