A truly wonderful gala. Brings back childhood memories when I used to live in Harrogate with family, we used to visit this railway for Santa Special and Bonfire Night. The locomotives looks beautiful restored and in great working order. This has been fully enjoyable to watch :-)
Thanks for commenting! There are a couple of options. Either take the footpath by the barn from Low Lane, which will give you the view in that clip, or cross the footbridge to find the view at 8:30. You can also access both points from the footpath leading off the A59 nearby the lay-by at Holywell Bridge, but the stile can be tricky to spot amongst the vegetation. Hope this helps!
Nice video. Feels odd being called the star of the show, we (the crew of the Austerity) didn't do anything too out of the ordinary....glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for your comment. Perhaps because I’ve seen 52322 a few times now, the Austerity stood out more to me. Looked very smart in BR livery and that chime whistle is a bonus! Many thanks.
@@SecondValveSteam she does look well, and the chime whistle is definitely different. Not complaining about being the driver of your star of the day, am just not used to it.
It’s great having two preserved railways in the area an historical novelty for our children to visit and enjoy.
@@tonystack7375 Thanks for commenting Tony. West Yorkshire is very lucky to have Embsay and the KWVR on their doorstep. Kind Regards. Cameron

Do you know when 68067 is returning to the GCR?
@@terrier_productions not sure. She is at Embsay for the rest of the year as far as I know.
@@terrier_productions Hi. No date has currently been announced publicly, so she should be remaining at Embsay for the time being.
Sorry for the fact my ugly mug keeps appearing in the video as the guard of the goods set but great footage
Not a problem Dave! Thank you for your efforts throughout the event!
