Yeah its a bit late as I believe they will be out early next week with the update, But I used them on thursday and got some footage so I thought why not make a little video out of it. :)
I liked its previous version on PTS. If I recall the stats correctly it had 125 damage per bullet, but around 650-700 RPM with the 2x burst. So it fired fast and more importantly it fired everytime you pressed the fire button, no matter how fast you did it. However the charge was only a 4 shot burst which was pretty much useless as you could fire 3-4 bursts at the time it took to charge it up. So now its a 6 shot burst which makes it more usefull, but I think its still bad. But the 366 RPM and 167 damage per bullet is really the thing that kills it. DPS is only 1018 which is the lowest on all pistols I believe. Only thing with lower DPS than that is the Crossbow. In comparison the NC Desperado has 2x burst as well with 167 damage and 500 RPM which pushes its DPS up to 1391.
Paqu I just want something solid that feels good, no fancy stuff like charge mechanics. Its a gun. It shoots projectiles that do damage to kill enemies. They dont need to reinvent the wheel every time, it just needs to be good.

They made the rounds the weakest of any shotgun pistol in the game, they gave it the slowest fire rate of any non-OHK shotgun in the game, they gave it a paltry ammo capacity, and to top it all off the weapon can't even land all pellets on target when you clearly had the weapon perfectly aimed with NO part of the reticle off the chest yet AT LEAST A THIRD of the pellets _still_ missed... TWICE. IN. A. ROW! The mag should be a 5 round mag (which they're doing exactly this in the next update), AND the movement accuracies should be those of the current stationary accuracies (so you're not missing pellets with the gun buried in the guy's chest).
Thoughts: VS seems to be getting another Phaseshift. Has two roles, is mediocre at both. If this does go live I'd like one of our existing pistols to be a burst-fire. TR one might be slightly UP, but only because the Repeater is basically full auto itself. Would be nice to see the TR default have a longer burst delay and higher damage to diversify the roles, and then perhaps buff the AMP a little. If the NC one feels a little UP, leave it. It's a sidearm, it shouldn't compare to a primary shotgun in terms of performance. Honestly I'm against the idea altogether.
Agreed. The only reason why AMP doesn't look all that good is because TR already have the Repeater. Give AMP to VS and people would go nuts. Of course I dont want the NC's Mag-Scatter be up to par with primary shotguns, but its just its inferior to the Commissioner on both close and especially at range, so in other words there is no real reason to get it.
If you look at the part where you count three shots to kill with the shotgun pistol, you'll notice the guy turned just after you fired and that's when the hit showed up. You shot straight, but connection BS means you didn't hit him with the full blast. It takes two shots to the body to kill within 12 meters. It fires six pellets, each doing 100 damage. Shot+Knife works, too. Try it out in VR.
NC the shotgun could fire faster/full auto TR just get another repeater, maybe they could increase the reload speed and bloom so its not OP compared to the other pistols VS needs higher damage or fire rate in burst, like you said maybe a single shot when charged that could do slow projectile with splash. Maybe almost kill an enemy, with 25% health
I felt like the firerate was good enough for the NC one. If they made it shoot faster or full auto it would just become too good for a pistol. Increasing the clip size to 6 shots and maybe slightly tigher spread would be the things it needs.

da awesomedude repeater kills faster, and has more spare damage in one magazine. Oh and better bloom, accuracy and all that jazz. So there's literally no reason to play with the new one at all

I'm sorry to be *that* guy but i can tell you didnt even pull down. 8:46 and 11:00 Test server, almost everyone there always wears max rank nanoweave armor, i'm not at all surprised he took 3 shots to kill.
Yes I didn't pull down enough, but for my defence I can say its because of the weapons mechanic. First I hold the trigger down and then on release I need to compensate for the recoil which is the opposite of how every other weapon works in the game. Maybe with little practise I could learn that mechanic better, but I dont like any of the charge weapons so I have no interest to even start learning it. And even if you can compensate the Spikers recoil perfectly it still doesn't make it even remotely a good pistol. DPS is just too low for close range and the fire delay is the final nail on the coffin.

It would be nice if VS had one decent pistol. They're all shit and this one looks shit too unless they change it. Where is our uzi pistol? and don't pull that rate of fire is a TR thing bullshit, as NC got the desperado. Guess i'll be holding onto the commissioner a little longer.

I take back what i said, they must have buffed it before the launch. Just tried this for over an hour on live and the charge shot will kill any infantry except heavy with their shield on. So it gets a pass for use with stalker cloak imo, which is what i was looking for in a pistol for VS. however for anything else eg, ran out of ammo on your main weapon and need to finish some one off, i'd probably still go with a commissioner, unless I get really good at timeing the charged shots. speaking of timeing, it would be nice if the spiker had some kind of bar to let me know how long to charge it. I know the charge is quick, like a second, but still it would be nice to have some kind of lancer/vortex charge bar.
Maishian No its the same. The charge shot only kills if you are within 10 meters of your target, land all of the shots and if enemy doesn't have nanoweave rank 1 or higher. Thing is, even if you have it charged and then count the time it takes to fire the 6 round burst you could almost fire 10 shots from the AMP at the same time which is enough to do the same damage. And that is without having to charge at all. The two biggest problems with charge is that it takes time and it makes noise which are both poison for stalker as you want to stay cloaked as much as possible.
