Great channel 👏, need help I have a 2020 STI and I installed the Factionfab FR specs coilovers. I hear like a clunk sound and they said this; after reviewed the video and think I can hear the noise. I am hearing a little more of a creak sound (a “whoosh” sound is common with coilovers and shouldn’t be any concern if the customer is also hearing that), which my guess points us to the top hat pillow ball bearings. They are designed to move when the suspension compresses, which can cause some noise during the first 1000 miles or so as the bearing can be a tad tight due to the press fit style. The tight bearing also can lead to spring bind where the top hat doesn’t rotate and the spring “clunks” when turning as the spring releases the twisting pressure (commonly called “spring bind”). This is much more common in cold weather months, as well as more pronounced after driving in wet or snowy weather. This usually goes away after breaking in.
If the bearing is not physically loose, I’d recommend just waiting for the break-in to continue. Tell the customer to take it for a longer drive, especially one with a few bumps and lots of steering input to help it along. If the sound goes away at some point during the drive, this is likely our issue (as the bearing warms up and expands while driving). It may come back again after sitting overnight, but eventually will work its way out completely.
If it doesn’t sound like we’re going up the right tree, we’ll need to do some further diagnostics and it may be easier to have the customer reach out to us directly to do so.
Not to call you out bud.. but.... the half wrapped evo has the ets regular. This one is the quiet. Now all you need is another 10 with the extreme👀. Keep up the vids man...

Just so you know devin the other evo x has the ETS regular exhaust not the same you have on this grey evo x that's why it's louder and because of the mani. This evo x you put the ETS quiet which is similar to the perrin exhaust you switched on the other evo x. So just switch exhausts on your 2 evo x and you will notice the difference 💪💪

Hello everyone. I have a question. I have a basic CY Lancer 1.5 I have a kit on that fits the dual exhaust. Will the Evo X work on it? I’m not sure if it will cause performance problems but I rather know before making the wrong choice.
