PSA: If you have a *Steam Controller* it enables Steam input by default, taking over for all other controllers including this one. You need to go to _Properties (For the game _*_on Steam,_*_ not on the game itself. Like where you find the Verify Files options) > Controller > Disable Steam Input_ for it to work (should be equivalent to deleting the entry as seen in the video). I just received my controller today, and spent quite a few hours trying to figure out why it wouldn't work (outside of Normal/Normal). The fact that everyone says "it should just work" worried me a lot, and was worsened by the fact that there are official layouts from Sega (instead of just using the generic gamepad mode), which gives you the false sense of security that it should work by setting one of those.
Important note here: To get Arcade mode on the Hori PS4 controller to work, you need to plug in the controller set to arcade mode *after* you booted the game up, not before. Otherwise Steam will switch to the Steam controller input by force since the game is not marked as officially supporting Dualshock 4 for Steam despite doing so. It’s basically a wrong configuration in its Steam metadata. Luckily the game supports hot plug for any controller.
Interesting, I didn't notice that behaviour myself. Maybe due to EDID remembering the name of hori controller. Or simply because I was constantly changing controllers for comparison.
DIVALLER FIRMWARE 2.2 & STEAM MEGAMIX+ NOTES www.dj-dao.com/en/support/6.html Steam Megamix+ was released after this firmware was made. The switch arcade mode should work with the dedicated arcade mode without any user configuration. But PS4 arcade mode won't work at all. PC DAO style is therefore kind of redundant but exists anyway. It means you have to put up with switch menu icons (game detects what type of controller and displays the appropriate menu icons), and the circle button will be accept (personally I prefer this). So its a little confusing to find which buttons do what in the menus, but otherwise works fine. I let them know what I think needs to be done for the PS4 arcade mode to also be supported by steam but that might happen later.
Idk if you’ll see this but you’re tutorial really helped with connecting the Divaller. However, the slider seems to be unresponsive/ low sensitivity. Is there any way to fix this or is the slider just not as responsive on PC?
Hey I love your video! Helped me out massively when you posted it and I couldn't figure out my divaller. Steam must of done an update recently though, and I am finding it near impossible to map my divaller again, and I cannot get the double swipe notes to register for the life of me. Do you have any experience with this update or do you know how to get it to register? Thanks so much!
Sadly don't have it now, can only try on Hori controllers. Maybe related to key mapping or lack of. Since for me in the past it wouldn't work if I created a mapping profile until I deleted the controller from the config file. Else, I would think they broke Hori as well.
I wish O being confirm and X being back was universal. I remember playing Genshin impact where O was confirm and X was back and it was just way more natural.
Hey, I wonder about if it works on Steam Deck/Linux devices, I recently got the future tone hori controller but the slides never work despite trying as much as I could
Do you own any other Diva controllers like the minis or the old monsterrous F/Dreamy Theater Arcade controllers. It would be great to see them alongside the new controllers and to know if they still work with new releases. I got rid of my Bahemith F controller years ago but I still have a soft spot for the giant basterd.
Hi, I have the official PS4 controller from Hori and I cannot get the slides to work. I did not specify any custom controller settings on steam and I did set arcade mode on both game options and controller, I've tried on 2 PCs with no luck... Does it still work for you in 2023?
It makes no sense to stop working :/ Did you update the divallers firmware? Where the slider lights up depending on the controller settings you pick. I would have to try again. Unfortunately no time for the next 3 weeks.

Thanks for that. Weird that it would overwrite
you're a fucking lifesaver man
Yes you are correct. I just got the arcade controller and did the same and everything how it was supposed to be.

Fucking life saver checking the comments for the slider not working did this and it worked thankssssss🎉🎉🎉
I was real tempted to buy one of these after seeing the PC port, big thanks.

It should work fine as long as you marry the settings. See Firmware 2022 and 2.4 videos. This should explain.
Oh so Divaller will have finally an update for Hori Protocol ? NICE

Yeah and now with PS5 it's x universally accept. Making gaming in Japan annoying as if your okay a PS4 title it goes back to circle
@@zedamex Horrible decision by Sony

do you think it could be possible to make my own touch slider with rgb and everything?
People have done it. I haven't got that level of experience though.
How about Ipega diva controller ???
Yeah I kinda wanna review that too, wont be an hour long video though ahaha
Wow
Girl all you have to do is disable steam input for the game it’s not that complex
