Thanks for tuning in today's video! I've wanted to take SVA's bio art residency since finding out about it in 2012 and it's been such a dream to finally dedicate a whole month to it 🔬✨👩🏽🔬 I hope you enjoy!
I have soooo much respect and love for the amount of detail that goes into every single millimeter of your paintings. It always amazes me how certain special people can sustain such prolonged focus and micro detail despite it being a repetitive labor. Each stem, each leaf, just as good as the first one, despite you having done 100 of them! Its an outstanding level of patience and love for the craft you have to posses to be that consistent and thorough. Amazing. Jaw dropping work! Love you Caro!
Hi Caro! This was sooo inspiring and I'm very excited to see future content from your residency. As a full time microbiologist, I feel so fulfilled knowing that these artistic applications exist as programs ✨
Gorgeous video from a gorgeous human!! Thank you x100000 for sharing your experiences~ I had to drop out of bio-illustration school so seeing you thrive always fills me with so much love and joy and I'm rooting for you! :D
Thank you so much Abby! Where did you go to bio-illustration school? It has been my dream to get a bio illustration degree for years, but that will have to wait :) Are you still making art? sending you much love!
Ohhh Carolina, my heart just sang with this video. It moved me so deeply. I have made surface art pieces in textile for galleries and the tiny minuscule things in nature have fascinated and driven me the most. I have never been able to observe under a microscope like this and I am just super happy for you and blown away for you that you got to have this fantastic and immersive experience like this at this botanical lab. What an amazing month of blessings. Your paintings will just explode from here. Wow! How wonderful for you. Thank you so much for sharing. So blessed by this. Ps. I have been fascinated by the idea of Waterbears and finally got to see one like that… that’s just too cool!
you are to be congratulated this is a great achievement, the masters are happy to know that someone here in Gaya is understanding the real reasons for our existence the value of life and the environment
What an amazing experience. I am sure you will learn so much from this experience. Well done, Keep it going with all the wonderful creativity and discovery.
Congratulations that looks like an amazing program! I used to be a scientist and I kind of miss the lab! You have likely already seen the Microcosmos channel, but if not I highly recommend it. They have beautiful microscopy videos of all manner of microorganisms, with excellent narration. I can't wait to see more of your work in this area! :-)
I found it extremely relaxing watching this video. I was transfixed by the microscopic parts. So interesting. I've been following your artistic journey for a couple of years now and I know how much you love fungi and microscopic work. So pleased for you that you had this opportunity to follow your dream. :) xxx

Dear Caro, such an inspiring and motivate video! I'm so happy you've realising your fungy dream. Could you, please, write the name of your laptop? I'm working as a photographer and now looking for a laptop with an adequate colours and lightweight. As a painter, you're using a laptop with a good screen. I would be very grateful for your answer! Greetings from Ukraine 💛💙

Great video... Wow, did you get more tattoos? 🤔
In march 2021 I tattooed my arm with Pony Rienhardt!
