Classic over calling to a bird. Hung him up out of range for quite a while. That bird only needed 3 calls at the most but we become so obsessed with hearing ourselves call vs truly understanding it'd affect on turkeys.
To market a brand called “The Spring Legion” they sure are pretty average turkey hunters. Looks like they just lucked up and got permission to hunt Florida private. Would’ve never even been in the game over calling like that on public
I hope my cousin and i get a small percentage of this action on my first hunt late march in Claiborne county. Awesome video! Learning a lot from yalls channel.
@@jamesflowers940 Got to meet him several times and in Union, South Carolina pre NWTF , who the hell are you? Member since the beginning and life member since 1980…I don’t need a decoy (emphasis added)! A tent blind? You’re turkey hunting or turkey shooting?
That first strutter you didn’t need to make a call…he was walking y’all’s way and then you called for the camera action…you wanna kill em or hear em is a question you always have to check yourself with. Congrats on the kill. We were down there at the same time from bama and smashed em as well.
Agreed on the over calling there. But with him being stuck on that hen, i can see how it could make a little more sense at the time. Calling trying to tick that hen off more than talk him over if that makes sense. And I promise if any of us are ever calling just for camera action, weve been hacked lol 😂
Haha he was walking towards y’all is why I said something with a silent hen in tow…now if that hen was vocal, he’ll yeah ramp it up brother lol 10 4 I hear ya! Like yalls stuff…keep smashing beaks my fellow brethren
@@tylerisbell6916 I have a couple hundred and I hunt a lot of States…it’s a good call that will sometimes works because everyone is using the yelp yelp yelp…had a bearded hen that flew up in a tree above me and she was using it. Several times I have heard it especially late season when they have poults
Just my opinion bud. I think you could have closed the deal on that first bird if you hadn’t of called so often and so loud. Kee kee sounded good but slow that yelp down. Congrats on the bird.
