Dad had a beautiful black one with white leather when we lived in Colorado in the early 70s. A kid pulled up beside us in a new Mach I mustang downtown , he revved his engine ; looked at us then dad beat him pretty bad from light to light.
@@pilotgeorge2000 Colorado Springs was actually where we lived but unfortunately Dad sold that car when we moved to Texas and the subsequent owner had the entire front end taken off by a drunk driver , otherwise I would have tried to locate it. My Mother had a 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado at the time and I would also like to find that car.
In high school, I had my grandfather's. 1978 and I was 16 and I loved that car. Drove it until my senior year in college and was in a head on crash one weekend. Walked away with only bruises as I was that odd kid that wore the lap AND shoulder belts. Most likely saved my life. Did you buckle up back then?
Didn't expect the wheel spin, eh scooter? That sensation you felt is called "torque". It's someting those old cars had, don't see it much any more outside of new diesel pickups.
Great video thank you for doing.

There's a black with white interior for sale outside of Colorado Springs right now on FB marketplace. Might be your dad's

Nice ride. I wish I had the time for a project car. Drove one of these in high school.

Finest car on the road back then
my dad had one of these when I was a kid
That was the best generation of mark
Remarkable. It’s 50 years old. When it was new 50 years ago was 1920. Bet this 50 year old is more useful than a 1920 car would’ve im 1969.
Yes it would be ,even today when 1920 is 100 years away .
Nice ride. Shame it doesnt have 8track :) Did you say coolant temperature and fuel gauges are not working? And some engine knock?
Hello? I guess not interested in selling
It probably sold a while ago
