So let us know what you think of this one! I know I have been loving 5 and I can see a ton of similarities here. Will you be buying the double pack? Mark
Absolutely buying the double pack day 1. I've only played P5 and it's one of my favorite games of all time. After your review, I'm even more hyped!
Double pack!! Woooop
I picked up 5, but I still haven't finished Strikers. I'm enjoying that so far though
So gonna buy the double pack. This will also be the third time of me buying Persona 4 Golden 😅
Heck yeah, I enjoyed 4 and 5, soon as it is a reasonable price I'll nab em up.
I do wish Atlus could count backwards from 3. It would be nice to get P1 and P2 again. The same goes for actually localizing SMT1 and 2.
That would actually be nice. Make it a remaster too.
They did localize SMT 1 completely, unfortunately only for iOS years ago, now delisted. Its so weird that they never rereleased it again. It must not have made them any money(probably since it was iOS exclusive).
Persona 2 is pretty good.
No no no, that would be too much fun in one year for persona fans😊
@@tornekotaloon9732 I think persona 1 was also on the PS1 classic console they released a couple years ago
When it comes to OST you can’t go wrong with P3
yes persona3 has the BEST ost out of p3/4/5 hands down!
persona 4 and 5 has a lot of hits and misses.. especially 5's ost was kinda meh with a few exceptions
I am so glad the Persona games are FINALLY on Switch. I never played Persona 3, so this is the perfect chance to catch up on that one
Yea I've only played 5, I cannot wait to play 3 and 4!
I think you're not the only one, since the success of P5 I feel like many people have been waiting for them! Now if there only were a physical though...😅
TRUST ME, Persona 3 is so much better than Persona 5. It is far more dynamic and the conversations are more impactful and less cliche.
@@strahnbrad3979 That's the first time I've heard that, I'm definitely interested in playing it for the first time! You think 3 is better than 4 as well?
@@Anni_ka I mean, P5 was so big, I can imagine millions of people are just finding out about the franchise as a whole. I had dabbled on P4 on a friend's house, but now I can actually play the games all the way through
Finding out the differences between Persona 3 Portable and FES really just KILLED my interest in the port we’re getting. The animated cutscenes and the 3D Models actually moving around in cutscenes really matter to me for story immersion. I can deal with tough gameplay, but if the story isn’t grabbing me I might not find much reason to keep investing time into it…
This is a great review & I love the boys at switch up but there are a lot of pros to the protable version. Portable version you can control party members & the female character is arguably superior with better character interaction. I play visual novels time to time & if anything that style can help story as you focus on character portraits & dialog. Don't write it off yet it's a fantastic story
@@SaintJoseph911 I don’t write off the game as a whole but the story delivery just seems less good compared to the cutscenes and 3D models interacting in FES. But I think I might emulate FES and play Portable on switch for the female mc stuff, since I do like the comfort of the switch a lot.
@@SaintJoseph911 so it's more of visual novel style eh? Hm, i think i can get behind that. That's good to know. Not like it matters because im still gonna get it someday anyways 😊
I played portable for the first time on my vita during lockdown. I understand your apprehension but trust me man. P3 is a vibe. You don't wanna miss it. Its really good.
Actually on that point of it being a port and the story stuff, I’m curious why they didn’t put in the extra bit of work of adding “The Answer” to their port of the portable version. The Answer adds some important stuff lore wise and adds some depth to the original story in the whole theme of death (the main story “The Journey” shows the main character accepting death by discovering what makes his life worth living, then “The Answer” switches the focus to the other characters rediscovering what gives life meaning after what happens at the end of the main story). I don’t think it would’ve been that hard to include too, since it was a side story in Persona 3 FES, making it easier to just transfer over.
P4G is one of my favourite games of all time, above even P5 Royal. The characters, the story, the small town setting and melancholy soundtrack are just so cozy and nostalgic. Can’t wait to finally get my hands on the double pack so I can dig into P3 and put the time into it that it deserves! Really looking forward to it. Cheers as always guys
same!! loved p4g as a kid, and enjoyed p5 (havent played royal yet), but replaying p4g as an adult gave a new kind of enjoyment that i couldnt understand yet as a kid
I'm probably fitna cave and buy both LOL
Same. I'm in a small town myself and find SO MANY similarities to my town. Aside from personas, Gods, etc.
@@brandonwells1175 make sure to buy the bundle. It's slighty cheaper that way! 🤗
Agree
Looking forward to playing this game again. P3P was the first game I played in the whole series so it will always have a special place in my heart. This was a great review that made me even more excited to play the game once more. Cheers to another great review!
This game is SO nostalgic for me. I remember being in middle school going to Family Video and seeing this in the video game rental section for ps2 and I instantly fell in love 😭 the mems. I cannot wait to play this again and actually finish it!
what an incredible way to start this year! Thanks for the reviews, when it comes to gaming you guys are my confidant ;)
Truly a great start to 2023. Persona 3 and 4 this month and Tales Of Symphonia next month.
Omg so nostalgic, I remember spending hours and hours in this game on my PSP, amazing atmosphere, characters and gameplay. Evolving & mixing Persona's into something new it's like casino (It's always interesting to see what comes out of it). But... a lot grinding, i think every Persona game has this attribute. Not sure if I have so much time right now, maybe will try Persona 4, never played it before.
Incredible game for sure.
I’m new to the Persona series, and even JRPG’s too. I am absolutely loving this series!! Definitely my favourite thus far!! Thank you to Switch up and Holden for this in depth review!! Going to be purchasing this one!! ✌️
Another solid title to fill up the library. It's really great to have games that keep you invested and are enjoyable over time
Persona 5 was on sale just this new year sale. Grabbing it and playing it, I understood the praise that it got, and I understand why sooooo many players are clammoring for P3 and P4 to be ported to the switch. The whole game is such a masterpiece, from the art style to story. Looking forward to playing P4 and P3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow 2 personas review the same day :) Since I never played any of the persona's entries, what a treat! Thanks both of you and to Holden Green!!! I might go with Glen's P4G though ;)
Persona 4 was my first experience with the series and I absolutely loved it. I'm going to pick up 3 when I get a chance. It doesn't get as much praise as 4 or 5 but it looks like a fun game too in my opinion. Thanks for another great review. You guys are starting the new year off on fire.
p3 has by FAR the best story and characters and even music.
p4 is too damn scooby-doo compared to p3
Thank you so much for mentioning that there's a bundle for the two games! The eshop had somehow never shown me there was one and I had been planning on getting both games, so now I can save a couple of bucks :)
even more if you use their discount code lol
@@2crack_17 Already planned on doing that anyway ;)
@@sayura93 lol great minds think alike
I feel like bundles are sometimes presented so weirdly on the eshop. Either the bundle is hard to find, or the games it consists of (both happened to me lol). Although that might just be the eshop's general character™️ 😅
@@Anni_ka Very true. In this case, I didn't find the bundle until I searched Persona on the eshop website. It don't think it popped up under new releases or on the page of the individual games.
Guess I'm the only one here who wants to play as FEMC (considering everyone here wants the FES version to be ported instead).
Nope, not the only one!🙋♀️
Maybe the best final boss music of all time. Also the way you actually get into the final boss fight is such an epic detail.
Whoa! Love your art videos - it’s cool to see you here. (Would you consider drawing something p3 related?)
5 has the best style, 4 has the best story, but 3 has the best music. To this day, I can still vividly remember humming the town and school themes in school. Damn. Such a nostalgia kick. And Mitsuru-senpai is best waifu. 😍
So all together the best music, story and style. 😆
Am completely bias but as much as i did enjoy P4's story i cant say it was the "best" imo. i hated how campy and scooby doo the story was with how dark it actually was if you think about it.
Baby baby baby
It's swapped around for me, but each Persona fan has their own reason to why each game is best! In my opinion, it was 3 with the best story. 4 with best characters. 5 with best style.
3 has some of the best music. But 4 and 5 have the most polish.
I think 3 has the best story just for the ending alone.
I've waited for years to play these games. Finally able to enjoy this series praised to heavens and back.
Now only if more of SMT would get ported...
I would cry if they announced an SMT 4 port!😅
@@Anni_ka Or a strange journey one...
They need to port Devil Survivor 1 and 2 from the 3DS.
The first game is one of the best Megaten games of all time, it's going underappreciated because it's stuck on 3DS.
From Persona 3 to Persona 4 and 5. All 3 shall be mine someday. 2023 will be a Persona year.
I don't understand why they not give us the FES version.....
Great reviews today guys, thanks for showing gameplay and the great discussion
Cheers mate! Mark
Great job on the review! I really enjoyed and i look forward to future reviews!
I like the cast and story, but after playing P4 and 5 I can't go back to 3.
It's too repetitive.
I am... God dam extremely happy about finally be able to play golden again but I'm so excited to play this bc of golden and 5. Sooooo omg. Im so pumped for 4g. Thank u for doing a review guys!!!
They should have done a straight up remaster of the PS2 FES version with better quality of life changes
So awesome to see these Persona reviewes back to back. Both games sre day 1 for me. And then I'll have something to play for the whole of 2023 knowing their length 😅
May not be day 1 purchase for me. But you can bet im gonna get both Persona 3 and 4 for my switch as soon as i am able to. 😋
Im a bit late today. Was sleeping you see. But better late than never! Both Persona 3 and 4 review from SwitchUp in 1 day. What a TREAT!
It's not Tuesday it's Treatday!
...that one's bad, I'm sorry xD
@@Anni_ka hm... treatday. Not bad actually. Not bad at all. 🤔😆
I’m playing the portable version and I’m still enjoying it a lot more than I thought
Love Persona 3 so so much. I played all 3 versions of it and loved each one in its own way. I am actually one of the ones who didn't care much for persona 4 golden. I loved the combat and dungeons but the story was really bleh for me. P3 however has a fantastic story with fantastic characters and having the female protagonist is awesome as well. I can't wait to pick this one up and replay through it for like the 6th time lol.
I really wish Atlus put in a little more effort and made a definitive edition of Persona 3 with stuff like the in game cutscenes, walking around town, and the answer from FES but also the female protag, Margaret’s door, social link improvements, choice of direct commands of Portable and meshed them together. This still is an amazing game and my favorite in terms of atmosphere and tone of story. But i feel some will be turned off my the presentation as visual novel at times which is unfortunate. I wish there was a physical with all this i would pay $70 if they put that much work in 😂
Great review. I've played the original persona 3 for the ps2 but never played the portable version, so it's going to be great playing this for the nintendo switch.
Oh wow P3P is my first entry in Persona series, i still can remember playing this on my psp at night. Good memories.
I've been waiting years for this! As someone who has played it on ps2, ps3, and PSP, I don't really care about performance or new additions, since it's been pretty much the same since the beginning, I'm just glad is finally here !!
Been looking forward to this release and 4 still have my PSVita copy but nice too see it arrive on switch
I do think the visuals are a little hard to compete with newer entries, this seems like a solid entry to the series. SMT V was my first experience and it’s interesting to see SMT’s influences (and certain demons I already recognize from this review). I probably will be playing this series in reverse order since I already have Persona 5 Royal and I am interested in Persona 4 now 😂
You might have sold me on finally starting the Persona series!
Excellent review. Thanks for sharing.
First time watching a video with this writer but I liked the review! Definitely fits right into the style of the channel
CHeers - we tend to play as well and work together to get the end result. Mark
I understand that a couple of guys can’t play and complete all of these games. I have such a huge back log and no time to play it. You fellas at Switch Up are doing a fantastic job. All the best.
I was hoping to hear something about the audio quality.
The PSP original suffers from heavy compression, which is very noticable on voice-clips and music. Is this better in that regard?
First time I played this series was P5R on Switch (I actually finished that one before Christmas) and I was already sold on the series. Unfortunately I won't be picking up this one just yet but it is in my wishlist's backlog!
It's going into my wishlist backlog too! XD
That's a shame they didn't change a single thing about the game (well, except poorly-upscaled pngs and quick-save feature). Thanks Atlus, this is truly the best experience you could provide us with
Gotta say, persona and the modern JRPG cutscene heavy video games are not my cup of tea to the point that I love and hate xeno 3, but it's good to see opportunities for heavily revered classics coming to the switch. Even this old now this system has so much to offer still. A classic game is a classic game, dated or not.
Yeah, I think independent of whether you love or hate the series specifically, a good port or remaster is always a win for people who might like the games!
I was debating on this one, as it's not Persona 3 FES which has all the cutscenes and everything. But for $20 I am not complaining! I'm waiting for their releases and getting P4G instead (that one got me through a lot of tough times).
Thanks for the awesome video!
They suprised me with the $20 price tag for each game. I was expecting around $40 each. A pleasant suprise! 😊
After seeing both review I think I'll buy both games, the bundle is a really good idea, for a fair price you get a lot a value. I trust you ratings as always and I am ready to start my adventure
I never got a chance to play this back in the day and didn’t know the series existed until 5.
I’ve been waiting for this since it was announced last year, and have waited all day to see your reviews. Looking forward to the bundle more!
Cheers!
Never played this one so I am HYPED!!! P5 is one of my fave games of all time! So have high hopes for this
I wrote a comment on their other video that was almost word for word what you put 🤣🤣
Im hyped too!
Still not sure if these games are for me, but cool how much content they seem to pack in there. Is this just standard for the Persona series, or a JRPG thing in general?
Persona 3 was the game that got me into persona. While it’s a shame it’s not the fes version, I’m still going to get this. Just because I’ve never played the psp version, and I wonder how much I’ll still enjoy the story after these years.
If you’ve never played portable and played fes please play and choose female protag the social links with the party are incredible and a lot of social links are improved. Finally can have male party member social links
Had to finish the other review before getting to this one, but as mentioned before, I will definitely be buying these day 1. I'll be starting with 3 and then going to 4, which means for the next couple of months my backlog will be completely ignored 😂😂😂
Ooh. Day 1 eh? Wish i can buy p3 and P4 day 1 too. Make sure to buy the bundle version! I hear it's slightly cheaper that way. 😊
Definitely getting this!
It's probably pretty obvious that I'm not a Persona fan by now, but that price is AMAZING!!! I wish my favorite ports had that much value for money. Very nice review.
Indeed the price is insanely cheap. A barjain!
And i just found out that the normal version of Tales Of Symphonia remastered is a mere $39.99. And that makes me reeeeally happy! And I hope im not wrong with this pricing.
Wish they had added a gallery mode with the anime scenes unlocking as you progress and some sort of nicely presented FES summary for the sake of completeness.
Quite sad that we did not get FES, there's are even a mod that let you control everyone in the team that they could add it, and even fem mc could be added with a bit of work.
I played FES in ps3, but just the base game, not the fes "dlc" and this could be the chance...
Great review, cheers
I can’t wait to play this tonight, p3 is one of my favourite jrpg of all time, and now I can play it handheld!
I’m personally not gonna get P3. I prefer FES over portable. But I definitely will be getting Persona 4 Golden
So excited for this!!!! 🎉
I cannot wait to play P3 & P4. I can't believe these games are finally on the switch!
What the heck is with the Hulk Hogan demons at the 7:05 timestamp? "Whatcha gonna do brother, when Personas runs wild on you!"
I kind of wish it was FES instead of Portable, but both versions absolutely have their merits. Can't wait to play through again after all these years.
just play it on a steam deck
@@cocozimme or switch...
@@Kamilolifov oh you can play FES on switch??????????
Or on your phone...
@@Kamilolifov or a pager
even though im very disappointed that they went with the portable version instead of fes, ill still be grabbing this. its still a great game. but it loses a lot of the charm that fes had by not being able to see the characters move around outside of dungeons. if they released p3 fes with the ability to control your party members, it would have been perfect.
just emulate it on yo phone and add the party control mod
Finally, a new generation of gamers can experience depression
This is such a masterpiece. I played at least 100 hours on PSP a long time ago. I also remember there was a PC software called Igor's Index where you could try fusing different Personas to see the outcome before doing it in the game.
100 hours is a solid number of hours to spend on a JRPG game. Some might say "too long!" But not me. 😊
I already played p5 on ps4 and P4G on PC but never played P3 so I can’t wait to try that one out!
I played so many rougelites in 2020-2021. Now I'm on a serious Jrpg binge. Another one to add to the list.
Aha! A JRPG binge! I know the feeling well. I know it veeery well. 😋
@@Ser-Smiley same here, I needed a break myself. Damn triangle strategy got hard and soft locked, fire emblem 3h got hard and soft locked at ch13, Vesperia I needed a break from, finally beat Xenoblade 1 and I still need to start x2 and 3 plus Torna and 13 sentinels. I'ma wait for a sale for these two
My biggest question is can you choose the skill to transfer over, or is it randomized?
My benchmark will always be P3 FES. When I tried P3P a few years later, it just didn’t work for me. I ended up never finished it.
After crossing the 15th floor, I don't know what the story is about...
Yesterday, I noticed that all of the interaction dots over people and things have disappeared!? I created a new run and the doors are all gone there too?! I deleted the game, nothing changed. I think my save file is the issue. I noticed the review forage had the same issue too.
I can't wait for this!!!!
This is a franchise I haven't gotten into, but with so many on the Switch perhaps I should... Where to start though?
Start with 3 and then you can appreciate the graphical and quality of life improvements
I'm torn on which to do first with my limited time: Replay P4G (last played in 2020) or play P3P for the first time...
Is there additional BGM fuka can change during tartarus?
I have never played a persona game but they are highly rated and I do enjoy a JRPG every now and then. I may have to check them out though. They will have to go into the old backlog though because I am all ready for Fire Emblem: Engage this week.
I'm the opposite, I'm putting FE on backlog, although it does look great
@@2crack_17 i'll be putting Persona 3,4,5 and FE Engage in my WISHLIST backlog. Haha. Even my wishlist have backlogs. 😂
@@Ser-Smiley lmaoooooo can't catch a break with all your backlogs
@@2crack_17 dont worry though. Im slaying my REAL backlog. Finished Figment the other day. Now i think i'll continue Narita Boy and finish it this month. 😊

Work ethic unmatched!
Ita crazy! But in a good way. 😅

I just hacked my PS Vita and I downloaded Persona 3 last night ready to start the series, so this review is really timely, but not in the expected way 😆
I've played Persona 5 Royal but haven't played 3 or 4. Which should I play first?
As much as I'd love to play these again, I feel like a physical copy has to be coming soon with both games on one cart. I have P4G on Vita (that I bought for 20 new, fwiw) so seeing it digital only for the same price is kind of a deal breaker for me, since I can just as easily boot it up on the Vita. The main selling point to me would be having a physical copy with both games, especially P3P, since it only got released physically on the PSP, and all my PSP batteries exploded so now I cant play my PSP.
I'd assume a physical would have both games on one cartridge, but I also fear that the price would be increased as well 😬
Ahhh! I pulled my psp out and found the same fate. Know whats still going strong? My Gameboy SP's!
@@jordongee2347 Same! The Gameboy SP was built for eternity lol
@@Anni_ka it really was! And I love that little system, still probably a favorite handheld, just wish I held on to some of the games I had. Still have the metroids, and final fantasy, and golden sun, what a great series that was golden sun.
But I got rid of advance wars, and I wished I didnt.
@@jordongee2347 Oh I know the feeling! I think my brother and I kept all of the games, fortunately. Among them the cult classics Winx Club GBA, and Spongebob Squarepants: Lights, Camera, Pants!😂
Won't Advance Wars receive the remake at least? I know its release is halted for the moment, but it certainly has to come out someday 😅
I legit always check your reviews first FIRST before I pick up a new Switch Game.
CHeers Nick! Mark
As someone who played the Portable version many times I gotta say that I really miss the FES version of the game (PS2).
Portable is not bad, I did multiple playthrough and enjoyed it but it's such a different game from FES.
I was really disappointed at that we got the Portable version instead of the FES version for the switch... I mean I know that FES was outdated, the gameplay is definitely harder, no QoL improvement from the later games. But it's like a really great chance to bring out FES from the PS2.
And as I always said, Persona 3 Portable is just Persona 4 in disguise.
I’ve not played any of these yet. Both look interesting, but I do really like a good story. Maybe I’ll wait long enough for them to decide to make physical copies
P3 is really good 👍
Two massive RPGs to review this week! How have you guys slept?!
The writing is so good! Shoutout to your new writer! And oh, Persona 3. The dark and edgy version that kicked it all off :)
Do we think they might run a physical copy of 3 and 4 in the future? 🙏🏻
Hope so. I sure do hope so. 🙏
You would hope so! Mark
If I were to get into JRPGS I would start here. Seems like a decent value.
my absolute favorite persona game finallyyyy on the switch
Sometimes you just can't comprehend how ahead of its time the PSP was
Great review! I’ve watched many playthroughs of this masterpiece but I can’t wait to try it out for myself. I’d like to add that the female protagonist is basically a different experience of the same game; the female route has its own awesome music and some of the social links/romances change even though the plot is basically the same (but if you romance Ken I will call the police on you). I personally also recommend that you try out giving your allies commands through the change tactics menu system before outright controlling them yourself; the party members actually listen to you most of the time (despite what the memes tell you) as long as you set them on the right command, and the base game actually already balanced for the lack of player input by making random encounters easier than in the future games (groups that cover each other’s weaknesses is somewhat rare in this game).
Thank you for the advice! I copied it into my notes app for future reference, hehe!;)
I really recommend persona 4 golden. It's a great game!
@@Anni_ka Thank you for the kind reply, if you were looking for advice I have a few notes about the games you should probably know.
1. The drinks from the vending machines heal 5 SP each so get a few to prolong your runs in the dungeon as SP healing items are sorta rare (Mad Bull is found in the dorms and is needed to start one of the links). Also, buy a few Yawn-B-Gones when you can from the 1F of the school, they can be used to recover from the tired status without using an action sleeping in your bed.
2. Unfortunately, it seems they sorta neutered the tactics menu as you are supposed to unlock tactics to tell your party to knock the enemies down, etc. However playing fully on command party can make the battles sorta mindless as the original didn’t intend for full control. My suggestion is either try to get by without controlling the characters or switch to full control only when you need them to knock the enemies down or need a party heal like media instead of diarama, the rest of the tactics usually suffice.
3. Status moves and buffs/debuffs are actually useful in these games, so try experimenting with them (especially on some of the bosses).
4. Social links actually level up faster if you have a persona of the same arcana in your team (level does not matter). For example, leveling up the Emperor social link you might want to bring Oberon of the Emperor arcana before hanging out. This isn’t entirely necessary as they give you a good chunk of time, but if you want to max out as many links as you can you’ll pretty much have to make sure you do this. Also, you’ll be stronger as the enemies don’t really give out much XP, so the extra experience you gain during fusion is really helpful for getting new moves.
5. For maxing your stats (charm, courage, and academics) it’s actually better to focus on events that increase a stat greatly or increase two stats at the same time than a single increase. For example, working at the cafe gives an increase to both courage and charm, also the games at the arcade give a great increase to one of the stats with the games rotating every day. So, yeah it’s better, in the game at least, to study for exams by playing the quiz game twice than actually studying (Note: this isn’t true in the later games if you decide to play those). It’s important to max your stats early since certain social links require a certain stat level to begin (Ex. Charm to start Yukari on the male route or Akihiko on the female route), so if you start late you won’t have time later to start on the link.
@@Canadadiasis Thank you so much for those detailed tips!x) This is definitely gonna be helpful!!💪
@@Anni_ka You’re welcome! There are lots of little things that add complexity to the game but are sorta hard to get unless you’ve played on of the games before. I hope you have fun!
I never thought this day coming haha this is the reason behind the creation of Nintendo Switch, the revival of some Franchises
Don’t get me wrong, I love P3P and think it’s a great PSP game. I’ve played it multiple times, most recently I played through it last year. Persona 3 is my favorite Persona, as it was the first one I played. However, as popular as the Switch is, I think we could have gotten a better version. Since the Switch was released, I was hoping that we could get a remaster of FES with full party control.
I'm just glad I get to hear Door-chan's BGMs in Switch Speakers
I've played Persona 4, and I'm getting to the point of finishing P5R now. I plan to finish Mario + Rabbids, then pick up P3P, then Fire Emblem Engage, and then jump back into Persona 4 Golden. Hopefully I can finish before Zelda drops!
P3 was my first Persona title so it means the world to me. I don’t think I’d be the person I am now if I hadn’t played it when I did - it made me value life more.
Only buying if they get some import physical going. A nice dual pack for 60 or so would be stellar
Fuuuuuck no, the digital copies are $40 together while physical is $60? Hell no 🤣🤡
@@Basstyle1 Quit complaining. You have the option. In many cases the physicals cost a bit more. It costs more to manufacture physicals over digital obviously. If Atlus needs to see profits from a 20 dollar difference in order to produce them? Sure. That works for me. Persona 4 for vita is 50 plus used and Persona 3 is a lot more for PSP. 60 bucks is a bargain. You don’t have to buy it. Go digital.
@@DSG0805 They aren't complaining. They're commenting on the fact that you've already bent over for a physical copy that doesn't yet exist.
Nobody likes the guy who says, "Hurr durr it sure would be 'stellar' to pay more."
@KoopySandwich haha. Well all I meant was I would be willing to pay 60 if it came out as such. If Atlus would only do it if they priced it higher, I am saying I would be fine with it. Of course I would rather pay 40 for a physical.
Good review. Keep the new guy.
Not a fan of the overworld being replaced with the visual novel style. Sadly I'll wait to see if there is a remake and that comes to the switch. P4g is a definite must buy.
I love P3 and it's nice to get some sort of port, not even a bad port either. But it really is a cheap cash grab, they had the perfect opportunity to combine all the QoL and FeMC from P3P with the graphics and bonus story from FES.
Just started Persona 3 Reload on Xbox, but I’m enjoying it so much that I’m probably gonna buy portable as well lol (not to mention Persona 4 for the switch).
We generally watch the SwitchUp reviews as a family to get an idea of what games the kids might be interested in. This is the first Persona review we have watched. While I’m not a prude and let my kids play many games that others might not, I do wish I had some notice that this game had a mature rating. The “move” that the characters have to bring out move of the angels(?) by shooting themselves in the head is a move I find extremely concerning and triggering. Perhaps this is just not my type of game.
i suggest checking out persona 4, it's much more lighthearted than 3, but i think 3 has a much better story and message to it if you can get past the summoning animation and such
Maybe it's time to get into the Persona franchise
