- In this video we look at a method of solving linear simultaneous equations called elimination where the goal to combine the two equations into one whilst eliminating a variable. From this we can then solve the problem. (With examples).

Why multiple by 3 and when did 9 come from
the multipled by three so that it would match up with the other y which is 3y so it could cancel out. SOrry if it isn't well explained

On the last problem, i got x as -47/11 and y as 63/11. When substituting into equation 1, it came out as 33 so im confused
You can maybe try talk to a teacher or something to help you
Maybe try get an app or something that can also explain it to you more easily?

I don't' understand elimination
Base on what I've learned this isn't correct or maybe it's just different numbers that u used than what I used. Cause I used 2 and 3 to get the coefficients to be equal numerically
But dear the answers should come same, if it's different the n it's definitely wrong......

Bcoz we have to make the 2 eqns y same as 1 so it multiply by 3 so it will become 3y and then both get cancelled

Because they got the value of y in the first equation which is 3 so instead of writing y with the first equation they multiplied by 3 aka the value of y
