Did you have a situation or calling that led you to helping so many people? I am so grateful for your knowledge! Many of us are hand away from retirement and have never put any thought into this time in our lives. Raising children, struggling with health or injury issues, has kept us living in the moment. Now we find we are in the next moment and don’t have a single clue as to what we are doing. I am one of the clueless. I thank you.
I worked hard and made a lot of money and now I do this for free to help people. FEELS GREAT
Great video..ty
The visual chart is so helpful to see what you could get it you can wait a few years!
I receive a lot more than what you’re showing, as my former husband passed away at age 59 and I began drawing off his when I turned 62. 🤔 I don’t understand frankly.
LOL! Even with Captions turned on, I was unable to make out what you mumbled at the beginning!!! 🤣
Unfortunately i can't download anything on my phone. Is there another way to get your cheat sheet? Thank you!
My mom is 74 and started drawing her own benefit at 62. She gets about $500 per month. She was ineligible for ex-spousal benefits because my father's full benefit was only about $600 at that time (he worked for several more years so his benefit is higher now). They were married for 18 years but are now divorced. She never remarried.
He is 76, is remarried, and has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness and is expected to pass within the next 12-months. I believe he currently draws about $850 per month from Social Security. I'm not sure at what age he started drawing or if the $850 was his full benefit or it was a reduced benefit.
If I'm understanding correctly, once he passes, she can switch from her own $500 benefit to a surviving divorced spouse benefit which would increase her total benefit to the $850 since that is what he will be drawing at the time of his death. Is that correct?
Also, if she contacts the social security office, can they confirm his draw amount, so she can plan for the future?
Thanks for your help!
Question about widow benefit. I’m thinking about a possible future scenario. My spouse and I will both draw our own SS. His benefit is larger than mine by a few hundred dollars. If I passed away first, my spouse would keep his own benefit. If he passes away (after age 70), and if I don’t draw my own SS until my FRA, do I qualify for my spouses benefit if he waits to draw until 70? Or would the benefit be 100% of his FRA amount? Thank you! Love your channel and love the hats. ;)
You would get 100% of what ever he got if you are at your full retirement age
It does not matter if you have drawn yours or not for survivors. Whoever survives keeps the larger payment. That is an instance you can switch.
I’m 60 years can I get widow or spouse benefits please help me thank you
Depends on if you are/were married (spousal), and if so, did your spouse die (widow)?
If you qualify and take at 60 remember permently reduced for taking early.
I can't find out about switching from spousal benefits to widows benefits. I intend to draw early at 62 but does that in any way affect my ability to receive full widow benefits if I'm far when he passes?
No it does NOT
@@TheMedicareFamily one other question my husband has been receiving ss since he was 66 he's now 73 and makes substantially more than he did when he first went on it at fra because he's continued to work all these years. I know I'll get 30 percent cause I'm gonna go on spousal early at 62 which amt do they take the 30 percent from his amount now or what he was entitled to when he first went on it at fra.
You didn’t explain that you can collect survivors benefits at 60, but will only receive 71%.
Some people then take their own at 70. Whatever ss you take early is reduced for taking early.
I never got my cheat sheet
Did you look in your spam folder?

Only a few Medicare advantage plans cover a acupuncture. Not common outside California. But you can’t get Medicare till age 65
Can she get my SS benefit at the time of my death even if I pass away before age 62 and she’s lets say, age 67?
Yes. There’s some kind of provision for that, look it up for specifics
My wife is 8 yrs older than me and is my dependent throughout our marriage. She doesn’t qualify to receive her own SS benefit. If I die before age 62 and she’s over 62. Can she collect my SS benefit at the time of my death?
Yes, of course. Just understand that if she starts SS at 62 she will be penalized for drawing early.
