Went with my teens daughters for the first time last year. Blew us away. I've been to Cancun over 20 times. This is truly the best of the best. Food, service and location are amazing. Going back again in 40 days for 8 nights.

Mark. Awesome video. I have a crew of 3 families and are doing research now. Really like this place. How did you feel about any partnered excursions that were available? I saw a sign in the beginning of the video for some jet skis. Curious if they have jet ski tours, possible boat tours to that island of mujeres and snorkeling.
Thanks for watching! I'd recommend using Viator for activities, the hotel can be pricey. But they do have an activities desk to help plan!

Hi! We just got back from here and LOVED it. We are Hyatt Globalist and we are going to Hyatt Ziva in Puerto Vallarta later this year. How does PV compare to Cancun?

This used to be the Camino Real. The rooms and property are identical as they were 25 years ago but now costs ten times more.

Thank you for the review! My wife and I are taking a trip without the kids in November for 4 nights. Just curious what your thoughts are--Would you recommend the Hyatt Ziva or the Hyatt Zilara? And why? My wife has Hyatt Discoverist status--so nothing special, but maybe we can score a room upgrade...? Also, if we stay at Ziva, do you know how we can get a room in the Turquoise tower? Thanks so much!
Zilaras rooms are all pretty much the same, so Discoverist wouldn’t necessarily be any worse than being globalist there besides maybe late check out! I like Zilara for adults only, but Ziva does have a nice property and better beach. Turquoise you can buy up to if you’re using points but I wouldn’t expect to be upgraded there!

What was your honest opinion of the resort , was it worth it with points? & also how was the food if you had to rate on 1 to 5 scale ?
For all inclusives, it's a 4.5 for food. really good. VERY worth the points.
I have been to this property around 10 times. I have found the cheapest way to book is through American Airlines Vacations for a combo airline ticket and room. The Hyatt Points has not worked for me. It seems I do not get credit or there are restrictions. Any one have a cheaper way to book? I have reservations for the new Hyatt Zilara in Playa del Carmen which opens around December.
Packages can be a good way to save money!
Hi, do you think 14 nights is to much at this resort ? It’s just 3 of us . My little one is 4. You think it’s a good idea to split this resort and grand moon palace ?
I’m nomadic by nature- I think mixing it up with somewhere down south in Playa del Carmen like the Grand Hyatt might be great!
We stayed 17 nights at the Ziva Cancun in 2017, could have easily stayed here longer, we are from Australia so 7 days is not worth it for us, 14 days is perfect, you will not get bored, it’s a 5 min walk to the centre where all the bars, nightclubs are. Best location at the tip of the Peninsula and hotel zone.
QQ - are parents able to stay with kids at kids club or no? With water splash pad in the club, just wanted to ensure as we would like to spend time with 5 yr old. Debating between this property and grand fiesta
Splash pad I believe you should be able to- for those types of details I would reach out directly
How was the beach? Was it Caribbean blue and was it calm waters?
One side was very calm! Very blue!
How would you compare ziva to fiesta Americana ? We have a 2 year old ? Thoughts recommendations ??
Haven't stayed at Fiesta Americana but Ziva will be a nicer experience, and great for families!

Wi-Fi is free and yes there is!
Got married here. Been to several other all inclusives. Just sucks they doubled the price when Covid hit and never went back down

There is more to do, but we really loved our time at the zilara- if you got a week, why not try both?!

Thank you for this! What’s the primary differences in your opinion between the Ziva and Zilara? Especially with them being right next door to each other.
These are actually a bit away from each other on the same beach in Cancun. Zilara has more of a private feel and no kids. Ziva has more activities and is a much bigger property and a better location.
Any recommendations on hotels to stay at with a private beach for solo travelers visiting Cancun?
Andaz Mayakoba might be a good option for you!
My hubby and i are Nighthawks. Not looking for anything too crazy but would like to dance and party some nights and relax on others. What time does everything shut down? We don't ever under any circumstances want to be told to quiet lol and we love night swims in the ocean. Does hyatt ziva allow for this?

They have a nightclub that goes later and of course there is a ton of nightlife very close off property. Night swims are probably officially discouraged but doubt you’ll have issues swimming!

Do they have tamales and do the guests put towels on the chairs early in the morning ?
I believe they have tamales and yes the guests do that unfortunately

Nice hotel, unfortunately after seeing the have captive dolphins I wouldn't give them my money.

I would like to know where the dolphins came from. Does this hotel kidnap dolphins out of the ocean for human entertainment? That’s my concern
Not sure about the origins of the dolphins. The resort doesn't officially operate the dolphin habitat- it's Delphinus that you can look into.

Good for young families? I want to enjoy family time without having people who are partying too hard near my toddler
I actually think this is an excellent option for young families. There's a Zilara down the coast that's more for the adults-only vibe. Plenty of room at this resort for everyone.
