understand that the Ziva Cancún also has a special area for families and another for adults, you should check it out the next time you travel, although it is a little more expensive but it is very worth it
yes for sure, they have an adults only section called Turquoise. We stayed there years ago and loved the it. Especially loved the location - with the water on 3 sides and the shallow area with calm water to wade out in and swim
Yeah sorry, we love a good vacay and have tried a few places and this one unfortunately there were just too many issues. I know other people have had great experiences there but for us it just wasn't the best. Good luck and finding a great place and hope yall have tons of fun!!!
trying to decide if to go to Cancun, play de carmen or Jamaica Montego bay which would you recommend and what best hotel/resort under $400 we can book there? LOVE YOUR VIDEOS THANK YOU !
I've only done Jamaica on a cruise so can't give real insight to Montego Bay. I'm a big Cancun guy and there are lots of options. Depending on when you go you'll find plenty of options for under $400 a night. We've enjoyed the Royalton resorts, Hilton all inclusive, and we did a Riu a while back and that was good. Should be able to get good prices there. Other good options you might be able to get moon palace, Dreams resort, etc. Just have to hunt the days a little. Good luck and glad you liked the videos! Have fun!
We went when it was really busy so getting pool chairs was almost impossible so you really needed to rent a cabana if you wanted a place to sit. That was the most frustrating. Then they had extras to buy around the pool and on dinner menus -- which we weren't happy with the food so we were frustrated with thinking they were saving the better food to be paid for. And the candy store was confusing because they had a couple of samples out but also had a menu to order from and pay. It seemed like at each place there was always something extra with a charge, but it was optional. We didn't do those optional items, you definitely don't have to. It was just frustrating because it is all inclusive resort.
@@kyle-okhi to confirm, are there swim up bars or bars around pools for drinks? Are they atleast all included in the price? Waht about food? I read, breakfast and lunch is buffet but not dinner?
@@TusharKhare2910 yes there is a swimup bar at the main pool. And yes the drinks and food are included, but they do have extras that you can buy if you want to but don't have to. For the buffet, which we did not enjoy, yes it's open for breakfast, we didn't eat lunch there, and I'm pretty sure we did dinner there the first night if I remember correctly. But it was small and limited options.
Thank you for the video. I am looking forward to spend my birthday in Mexico but looking for the whole experiences of shows clubs nice turquoise beach and all inclusive food and bar. Any recommendations? Adult only
Ok so we just got back last week from Secrets Playa Mujeres. It's Adults Only, north of the Cancun hotel zone. Much much better beach than Riviera Maya. I was extremely impressed with this resort. Definitely a top resort we've ever been to. I highly recommend. BUT, the best beach and color of water will definitely be in the hotel zone. Live Aqua or Secrets the Vine are my tops there.
@@kyle-ok thank you for the quick response. I am checking out Excellence Playa Mujeres - Adult Only. What’s the difference between secrets and the excellence playa mujeres do you know ? Again, thank you for your feedback means a lot.
I was also looking at the Excellence and Finest Playa Mujeres for our stay last week. I was looking at the EXCELLENCE CLUB TWO-STORY ROOFTOP TERRACE SUITE W/ PLUNGE POOL at Finest. For me it came down to the fact that the room was about $950 per night. My Secrets Playa Mujeres Stay was FREE on points through Hyatt (Points Shark! 😁). So I opted to save the money. I do want to try Excellence or Finest one time and might have to splurge. Secrets was really really great stay for us so I can't imagine that there is too much of a difference. I also was looking at Garza Blanca
On the budget/affordable side I have really liked the Royalton resorts. I think you get a lot compared to their prices. They are probably my favorite on the affordable side.
Kyle thank you so much I have been looking at this Resort over the last week and others for sure I am NOT staying here. I have decided with new Hotel which just open Riviera Maya Edition Kanai NOT All inclusive I just do NOT want surprises interesting I had watch other UA-cam videos about this Resort but your review for sure an honest review thanks again
Nice thanks! Let me know how that Edition resort is. I've been looking at the St. Regis there next door. I think Marriott's normally have a good standard so it should be good and the pictures look amazing. We've only done All-Inclusive's down in Mexico so I'd be curious if the cost for food and drinks evens out in comparison. Have fun and I hope all goes well!
Ziva Cancun is great! I love the location - yall are going to have a blast. And booking with points makes it the best! It does look like you might be able to get everyone in the same room, depending on the ages of the kids - and it says rollaway upon request. My kids are older so we often have to do 2 rooms, but I like having everyone together when possible. Ideally it is best to get a room with the living room, maybe one of their suites if it's an option. Having the living room gives that extra space so you don't feel so cramped. Especially if you have any littles that get worn out and need a nap, good they can be in the separate room. I"m not sure exactly what options Ziva Cancun has so you might check it out to see. Super excited for yall! Hope you have so much fun!!!
It's not a good beach at all. It really changed my wife's mind about Riviera Maya. We were reluctant to go back south of the Cancun hotel zone, but found Maroma to be great and just got back from Akumal (close to Tulum) and it was great also. So, yes you're right and we also search for that crystal clear blue water and absolutely love it
Thanks for your review. We just got back from this resort. Worst all inclusive I've ever been too. Stay far the f*** away from this place. Super boring...pools were filled trash and dirty. Room service sucked. Food was maybe at best a 4/10. Literally no usable beach. Staff weren't friendly at all. Just all around a massive wasted of money. Never again. Which is interesting cause we chose the Hyatt Ziva name. We went to Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana in DR, and that was the best resort I've been too.
Well sorry to hear. I was thinking we maybe just had a bad go when we went but yeah too many issues. We've been pleased with other Hyatts in their Inclusive collection, but not this one for sure!
Our flight was cancelled and they put us all in that hotel for a night. I am glad I had the opportunity to explore this resort. Your review is a true insight. The AC isn't adjustable and we all got cold on returning home. The toilet will cause you a heart attack every time you flush it (it sounded almost the same as if you were using it on a plane). Room maintenance: well we were surprised to say the least when we discovered smelly dirty dishes in the small closet near entrance from someone's previous stay. The dishes had mold already so I assume they stayed there for quite some time. The sofa had two big stains and we felt it wouldn't be a good idea to sit on it. The food is mediocre (we only had a dinner as it was late evening when we checked in). Definitely won't stay there.
Yikes sorry to hear. Hopefully it didn't put too big of a damper on the vacay. We really had some great memories from our trip and the catamaran sailing to Isla Mujeres. Never want to minimize the disappointing parts of the trip, but do always want to celebrate the good! I truly hope the rest of the trip was great for you, even though the extra day might not have been wonderful.
Thank you very much for your video! I was planning to go there for vacation but I don't think I should go there HAHAHAAH By the way, are you planning to go to Hyatt Ziva Cancun as well? I would like to see there too!
I was thinking about Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun the other day and definitely would choose the Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun for a family vacation. I enjoyed Royalton Splash a lot better and did a little resort tour video on it - check it out if you get a chance. We did go to Hyatt Ziva Cancun but it was years ago. I absolutely loved that resort! It's got a great shallow water area that is super relaxing. I think we have a really old video on it also. Great idea to go back though, thanks for thinking of that - I'll put it on the list!
For me Hyatt ziva cancun is the best holiday destination. Ive been to many places around the world but this is the only place ive been back to a second time- infact im coming back every year- i love it so much. Both my stays of nine days have been amazing. Im fussy about food but even i was happy. Im going back next year and ever year after that. Well worth paying that bit extra. 👍💕
Are you referring to Hyatt Ziva in Cancun hotel zone or the Hyatt Ziva Riviera Maya? We loved Hyatt Ziva in the Cancun hotel zone - we celebrated a birthday there and it was great! I'd be super excited to go back there.
I'm glad it could help. Vacations are expensive and in my opinion, for that area of the Riviera Maya and for a budget family vacay - I personally liked Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun and would go back there for sure. Thanks for watching!
Yes agreed we felt like that compared to other resorts we had been to there were just too many issues that came up... like not having the category room we booked available and then double charging our credit card thousands of dollars. We love vacations and don't want to complain or sound ungrateful but do want to share an honest review or our experience. We know that each experience can be different for different people and unfortunately for this one we just had too many things come up. We did still had fun and wonderful family time. Hopefully this share is, if anything, eye opening.

Thank you for the review, looking forward to see if I agree with it. Doesn't take much to make me happy hahah.
You bet. I hope you have fun! And I love your mindset, it's like this quote: "Happiness is not by chance, but by choice." - Jim Rohn
Thank you so much for the info. I almost booked just because it was a Hyatt hotel and affordable.
Glad it was helpful!
