I like that the music is kind of like a Depeche Mode/early synthpop version of the music from Mr Do!'s Castle (Speak and Spell era). Sorta neat that the gameplay is a cross between those first two games too.
This is a masterclass in 'how not to play this game'... barely makes it to cherries on most rounds, no multi rebound kills, or full on roller drops. Shame.
I think this is one of the roms supported by bridge m1, in which case you can save it back as wav files, provided you can still get the source files. Been a while since I checked.
Why not bubble bobble as the enemies become tougher and diffrent when you do not defeat them in time for a LIMITED amount of time before becoming normal?
I have seen some pages that said a diamond might appear in the game(but I didn’t see it, so I assume it’s super rare), and it can only be found by digging up and making the dots worth more. I tried to get it myself but failed.

Had this machine in canteen of Tescos where i worked, lots of us got pretty good. I managed a score of 762,000 a workmate just topped 1,000,000. How do you activate the invincibility cheat on MAME?
That's a really good score. Best I get is around 550-600,000. But I rarely play it now. I was better at Mr Do in the arcades - 750,000+. There weren't any easy cheats in those days. The person playing this hasn't got a clue. They don't know the game. No strategy. It would be great to see someone really good play this. But I still would like to know how to do the cheat :)
i used to play this at a pizza shop down the street from where I grew up. I scored over a million only twice, mostly because it took so long to get there and the only time I had to play was between school and my paper route. my first score over a million was a million and six. my high score was 1756560. Considering this happened in 86-87, I'm happy i still remember those numbers. I had earned three diamonds and had 25 extra lives but once the game hit level 80 it took me nearly 20 lives to get to level 83 wher I eventually died because the game was simply too fast and i knew i had used up all reasonable time to deliver my newspapers, so my focus was pretty shot. A month after that the pizza place switched out consoles. Since then, I've only seen other people play it on youtube, playing horribly.
*But since it's cheating why not make the most of it with points, when changing the colors of the ground to make appear cherries, cakes and whatever else over and over, lazy or dumb cheater*

I never encountered this in the wild, but it's fun to play on MAME.
1984 and I was 14 and got to level 96 in the arcade...without cheats!
