Skylon at the end is from the Greek for “spoils of war,” originally the meaning referred to the hide taken from an animal after a successful hunt. An appropriate word for the carnage Thulsa Doom and his minions wreaked upon the Cimmerian village.
I am sure that Basil when he was composing the soundtrack of this movie and especially this specific piece of music, he was haunted by the ghosts of Richard Wagner and Robert Howard at the same time! Or else i can't explain this tremendous inspiration and absolute epic feeling!
Sou só um grande fã do Conan, que só fala e entende português (língua oficial no Brasil)! Fiz o melhor possível, e até impossível... este tema merece o esforço. Desculpem os erros e... Obrigado!
Interestingly enough, skylon is a form of the word dog in modern greek, and it is heard in the movie when the dogs kill Conans father... a mere coincidence perhaps, but still odd

There's no debate to be had; this is the finest film soundtrack ever assembled.
LOTR in second place
Above all yes
Hans Zimmers is the master composer but Basil started it all
Thus its not a soundtrack, its a score :)
