As time went by, I became more and more unhappy with my previous remaster of this show, so I decided to try again. This was a very special show for DT, and a very sentimental bootleg for me, so I felt that this video deserved a remaster that's done right. This video is uploaded in the correct 4:3 aspect ratio, and doesn't have the boat-loads of sharpening that I used on the first remaster. For some reason, I was into stretching and using ugly, unnecessary sharpening back then. Plus, back then, I didn't know all of the correct settings to select when de-interlacing videos to 60 FPS with the program I use, so my first remaster isn't in full NTSC 60 FPS. I think it's actually around 57. The only other video on my channel to suffer from this is the San Francisco 2000 one, which I'm also going to be re-uploading in a couple days. Anyway, this one is actually de-interlaced correctly, so it looks a bit smoother. I also made a brand-new mix for the audio, fixed the exposure, corrected the color, rid of most of the excess clicks in the audio, and got rid of the 30 Hz hum. This time, there actually is a night and day difference between the original audio, and the remaster. If you'd like to compare the two, you can watch Henrik's old unedited upload of Under A Glass Moon, from this same bootleg, here: • Dream Theater - Under ...
Here's a chunk of the original description from the first remaster:
"This is Dream Theater's second show with James LaBrie, and the earliest known [video] recording of the band performing live with him. Images and Words wouldn't be released until a month later. This performance was part of a short string of shows the band played in order to warm up for their show as an opening act for Iron Maiden the following week. Besides some moments where he's a bit pitchy, James sounds absolutely fantastic at this show, and it's a must-see for any DT fan. It's interesting to hear him sing these songs with a clean tone, as opposed to the very raspy sound he would use later on in the Images and Words tour. I made this remaster to celebrate the (very late) 1 year anniversary of my first video on this channel, so here's to many more (hopefully)!
I chose to remaster this performance in particular because Henrik Willadsen's video of Pull Me Under from this show is the first video of Dream Theater I ever saw. He didn't seem to try and make any improvements to the original video though, and hasn't uploaded anything in five years, so I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I shared my own version of this show"

This is the Dream Theater I know and love. I really don’t think it’s any mystery or coincidence that Kevin Moore left and changes for the not better came into play.

I just finally watched this. This is actually June 8, 1992 at the Ritz Club in NYC. The audio bootleg of it is known as “Maiden Voyage”.
