This is a very useful review! I would have liked a little more video of the lights on the tank and maybe some coral macros. Overall love the content here and agree with a lot of what you are saying.

would love to see the different par readings with the kessil x with the narrow reflector on with the the t5s and with out the t5 on with your hybrid fixture hung higher around 10in or higher and par readings at 6in 12 and 18 under water and the sides

I have the 700 and the X on two seperate tanks. the 700 is with t5 for the sps tank. i have to run the t5 for longer now because the 700 wasnt lighting up the other half of the corals and they ended up dying on the dark side, so the t5 is back on to help. still, love the kessil and had been wanting one for over 5 years....just couldnt stomach paying so much for a light, now i understand why lol. the 360x is on the softy tank and i got it for just being such a simple and great light. litterally put it on the timer and thats it. no ramping or anything special haha! i will admit that i want to put it on the apex when the module comes out for it, just to be able to put it on a moon phase kinda thing.
Buttons or knobs?
This is the first time I’ve seen how dim the A360X can get! Love it. Even more reason to get one now! (I’ve always hated the bright on/off aspect of my Kessils.) Oh and finally moonlight on the 360X ❤️

yay 55 degree adapter... I hate light flying all out into my face when im trying to look at a tank. I had just wrapped the bottom edge with black tape on a cheap light once to avoid it. lol.
I love the adapter. It does jack up the price of the lighting system when you buy of those but oh well. The tank looks sweet now.
what is the spectral blend of the 360 we? Is the red and green and vilet and most importantly uv? I cant see to find this info anywhere! Also do you know what year the 360 was was first made? The box says something like it won reef builders in 2012
Lots of deep blue. Some 380 nm uv. Pretty good general spectrum but not as well rounded as the 360x

So I have a RSR 250 and lately been buying more sps type corals. Currently have two AI Prime HD’s and I’m in the market for new lights. Orpheks v4, 2 or 3 Kessil a360x or two Radion xr15 pro. Not sure what to get?! I have a female clown that splashes if lights just turn off and don’t gradually dim off, so dimming is important to me. Do you think I should get the Kessil’s? I really like the look of the 360X in the tank. It has perfect blending and lots of pop. You can't go wrong with the xr15 pro either.
How many A360x are needed for use with the aquatic life t5 combo for a 6 foot tank?
The Golf Life Start with 4 minimum. Once the coral grow really big you can add a fifth if you want. The great thing about that setup is you can add on as you go.
Puff Daddy Reef Would the aquatic life 48” with 4 A360x’s be best or 4 Radion G4 Pros or an ATI Powermodjle or a AcroOptics fixture that covers the entire tank? The thing we don’t like about Acro optics is their fixtures are so damn heavy... my favorite lights right now are illumagic.
I’d get a 60” T5 (what I have) or even 72” with kessils. 48” will be too short to they the benefits of T5 at the edges of the tank. Radions are also a good option if you are ok with look they produce. Coral won’t care either way.
I am growing a mixed reef tank with the best results. I actually switched from the radion and the AP700 is growing my coral 2x's as fast. See there is this thing called usable light, Numbers mean nothing. I am using my light on a 65 gallon made by (ATM) the show TANKED.

I wanted to share something additional as it has been keeping me up at night because I forgot to include the fact that although the mixed reef tank has kessil AP700 lights unless you have a tank with same dimensions as mine you might want to get a fixture to go with your kessil. Se my tank dimensions are as follows 35w x 28t x 19 deep. Not all of that holds water as it has a built-in reservoir and canopy so water height is actually 23t. The kessil AP700 is used with the brackets so it sits right on top of the tank so it is 8 inches above the waterline. Got an a360x yesterday. What bothers me is that this light doesn't have a variable fanspeed. Even with only the moonlight on the fan runs at 100% which is ridiculous. I can hear it through my whole living room.
The 70$ Chinese Led it replaced was dead silent because it has a variable fanspeed, was expecting the Kessil had it too but no.
I noticed this too when listening (!?) to this video. Wondered what equipment was producing this sound, not believing these new lamps did.
i called kessil to ask If I could get purple red ect from the 360 w and the lady said no and I explained how you held it to the wall and you could see the colors and she said the only way was to have a controller! I dont know if she knows what she is talking about. Do you have a controller and di you dial up the other colors? I like the idea that I cant mess it up since I am new at this but I feel if it dosnt have anything but blue and white that I wont get any color pop and maybe I would be better off to try to run the ab plus schedule on other lights? What do you think?
you can only get the other colors with controller and an A360x not the 360we even with a controller, the we is only blue and white but ive owned alot of kessils and you wont be dissapointed with a kessil no matter which one , they all will make corals pop trust me and the shimmer and realistic ocean look is unbeatable
i believe there is still red and green leds in the we lights but you just cant independantly adjust them , but i know i wont run any of my tanks without at least one kessil over them now
