    It's scary when you have no experience with these things and then you get some sort of error message on your boiler. We rent, but I try and keep the landlord out of these small stuff.
    Thank you, Mark, for making this video. A short and easy to follow one - no jargon, just clear instructions.
    Thank you :)

    Today, I came across with the same problem. The boiler indicates the F22 error. I googled and found your video, and followed the instructions given and fixed the error. I am very much naive and so scary to touch the boiler without a qualified technician. Thanks for your video and now I know how to rectify the trouble when it's happened again.

    Absolutely brilliant advice, I was able to fix our boiler by myself confidently, and the heating and hot water are now safely back on. It's a rented house and I was nervous to try to sort this problem out alone, but Mark's instructions are clear and easy to follow. My cat and I are very grateful, thanks Mark.

  • @ivangutowski
    @ivangutowski 6 років тому +22

    PLEASE NOTE: This will work perfectly, however I highly recommend that you fill the system up very slowly and ideally just a little below half pressure.
    I found that after the boiler heated up the pressure rose slightly and after filling it a little too far I was left with a system near the upper pressure margins with no instructions of how to release the pressure.
    It turns out that bleeding your radiators, and then using a cup to bleed of more water did eventually bring the pressure down to the mid way mark.
    Thank you to the author of the video for this simple fix, however just be aware to do things slowly and in small amounts.

    • @MarkBallardLTDHeatingEngineer
      @MarkBallardLTDHeatingEngineer  5 років тому +4

      If you over pressurise your system the best and safest way to reduce pressure is by using the air bleed screw at the top of a radiator. This should open and close easily so no leaks after doing it. It may take several minutes. Very slowly open the air bleed valve! DO NOT unscrew it to far!!! If you unscrew it to far it will come out and you will have water squirting every where, which may be very hot!!!!
      Put a old towel on the floor use jugs, cups, what ever catches the water best.
      If water does not come out after unscrewing the valve 1 or 2 turns, try another radiator.
