Problem is with usb drivers. Search for fastboot drivers. Or download mi flash(not unlock) and it will install drivers. If still not working try to disable drivers signature enforcement on Windows 👍

I'm stuck @7:35 . Can't connect phone to the unlock tool. If I connect in regular mode my computer recognizes: k40pro+. When I disconnect, enter fastboot and reconnect to the computer the computer installs a MTP device or Android driver and unlock tool never recognizes the phone. In my case, I forced hard reset my redmi 9 (miui 12) phone because I bought it second hand and the seller cannot rember his MI account password. Because of that I forced hard reset/wipe data the phone so that I can sign in to my own mi account. But after the hard reset a message popped in the screen saying that my phone is locked because it (the device) was associated with another account(the account of the seller) and it is asking for the password of the account. The cellphone repair shop was able to unlock it using an unlock tool but the thing is I can't use my phone freely. Everytime I use my phone the VPN must be on so that when I connect to the internet using data or wifi the phone won't relock. Sometimes they send SMS to your WhatsApp. Alternatively you can add phone number for SMS for verification through your phone instead of the unlock tool.

The banking apps only didn't work for some people but it was because their devices are rooted and they did not set it up properly. Unlocking the bootloader doesn't really affect anything besides giving you the option to root.

When bootloader is unlocked you can install custom recovery on your device and install custom ROM. For tutorial you need to follow steps written in website where you will download the ROM.

Try with other cable if not help try with other pc.
plug the device into a usb 2.0 into pc, if you dont have one,then just use a cheap usb 2.0 cable then it will work.

can i turn off my pc while its unlocking and just use the phone normally or the pc needs to be all week turned on with wifi to unlock?

Never seen that message. Try to disable drivers signature enforcement on Windows and connect again.

You can use your phone as normal during these days just don't log out from Mi account.

I don't have the same pc where I did the unlock bootloader request, it's possible to do it in another pc?, I have to wait for about 15 days..but that's my doubt.
