My first synthesizer :) I bought the screen. I'll change the battery at the same time and clean it :)
Dude that board is rad. Probably something I should look into if price is right instead of controller. Older workstations usually offer better build and connections.
For a computer/VST synths, I would use a USB controller. I have a cheap one that is great. I don't have to worry about beating on it. This old board is dated sounding (1995). I wouldn't use it in a serious recording project. It's something I've had forever. Fun to play with. Not practical.
@@HankCoffey I bought a sy77 in 2013. Hahah. It was just like the one I bought at launch in 89 or 90. Paid 3 grand then. And 300 for used one. It was not as good a deal as I though and heavy as shit. I forgot. And it came with anvil flight case. Sold it and lost money in shipping. Hahah. I loved it but I bought Moxf6. Which I miss and sold as well. You are right. A controller will be best. VSTs are crazy good.
@@robertclarkguitar Yeah, if recording, I am using my computer. The hardware is toys.... Or for playing live.

Been looking to pick one of these up for a while. Jean Michel Jarre basically used it as a ghostwriter for his Oxygen 7-13 album. Lots of arms and partial patterns made it into album along with the Mellotron choirs. Let me know if you want to sell it! 😊
That's cool, I'll have to check out that album. I have been thinking about selling some of my hardware. This Raven is one of my favorite keyboards I have though.

@@kimble02 money talks. I might let it go for around $1100. They might pop up for sale cheaper. But they will have 30 years of dirt under the keys. No blue display. And probably won't have the MAX Expansion.

Hammer:
Der Kontrast (Hintrgrund pechschwarz und wirklich gut lesbare gelbe Schrift)
Dazu ist auch noch der Blau-/Gleb-Kontrast (Raven/Displayschrift) auch noch optisch toll...
Wer das auch machen möchte:
Das Dsiplay wird ohne Kontaktleiste für den Stecker ausgeliefert.
Die muss man selber einlöten. Dabei _NICHT_ Pin15/16 bestücken (das Kabel ist vom Raven nur 14-polig)
BTW:
Man muss nicht die beiden Holsseitenteile komplett abschrauben:
Es reicht, nur die beiden oberen Schrauben zu entfernen... dann lässt sich der Deckel (wenn natürlich auch hinten die fünf Blechschrauben entfernt wurden) der schon abheben...
