Supergrass really are underrated. Its a shame when the likes of Oasis plod along doing the same thing for years while Supergrass actually progress with their sound and always evolve.
Self inflicted, it's the nature of the beast, you ride the wave until it hits the shore. Like many others they jumped thinking there would be another wave... but there wasn't.

i read an interview, he says because they're getting older it's harder to sing a song about being young because their generation's youth was very different to young people now.

I am in the mood to play guitar like I feel creative and inspired maybe 2-3 hours of each day. If I ain't in the mood to play a song I ain't gonna play it. The fact that these boys can put themselves in the mindset to make a song they're sick of, still sound good, that's likely where the real difference between these people and average joe, is.

and why aren't Supergrass getting the same recognition as many other bands .. that have similar styles or came out of the same time span? i do believe this band {with this song alone}prove they're for everyone and alltime..cough cough!!! remind me who is Oasis?
This went from being a fast paced dancing song in ‘95 to a stadium anthem in ‘04 and I love it
