    For everyone asking why we send stuff down or why we didn’t get the sticks out first…
    1. The sticks you are referring to are packed under several (3) feet of mud. They wouldn’t come out unless we had super human strength.
    2. It is not easier to pick up incredibly heavy grass that is packed with mud and toss it to the side rather than send it down.
    3. Something always looks easy when you aren’t the one doing the work or there to see it yourself.
    4. The clog/stuff was only at the beginning of the culverts, not in the middle. Anything we put in came out the other side with water pressure.

      Well put!! From an iPad you can’t see depth. Everything is flat, no elevation ect. If you are here watching them, support their community pride by thanking and encouraging them. ❤

    Great job ladies. Some people have never cleared a culvert and it shows. Some people should go clear culverts for a while and then maybe they’ll have talking room. Thank you for my stick flinging fix.

    "There's a lot of stuff in this thing"
    so let's push more stuff in.

    • @culvertsandmore
      @culvertsandmore  8 місяців тому +6

      The stuff is only at the beginning not all the way through. Anything we pushed in went out the other side. Thought that was common knowledge given that the water flow gets heavier.

    • @davidjeffery2823
      @davidjeffery2823 8 місяців тому +2

      So drag it to the side not drag it from the side and wedge it into the pipe.

    • @culvertsandmore
      @culvertsandmore  8 місяців тому +5

      Do you honestly think it wouldn’t end up clogging it later when the water flow brought it there? It would have. So better to do it while we were there than later.

    • @davidjeffery2823
      @davidjeffery2823 8 місяців тому

    • @Hscaper
      @Hscaper 2 місяці тому

      I have years of experience of clearing culverts and I agree with pushing them through. Pulling out is workable but where do you put the debris? You end up pushing it through once it’s cleared anyways so at the beginning works better! It’s not furthering the clog, it’s breaking it up
