How does someone get started in this field I’m 22 and working in an automotive shop right now gonna be going to school at UTI soon and would like to get into this field of work after any recommendations?
Have 5 years experience working in Tesla service, which requires 5 year experience working in other automotive repair affairs… I think that's how these guys did it
I worked for BMW for 13years before leaving for Tesla, I did 6 years there. The best recommendation I can give is get some experience with a high end brand or heavy diagnosis in a brand to understand electrical and HV components.
@@ElectrifiedGarage I'm in Orlando, have been a sole tech at an independent shop for almost 15 years, and I do a lot of electrical, but I've had very little HV hands-on experience. Just a couple training seminars and watching Weber Auto on youtube (his info sraight from his classes is great!). Any differing advice for an already-established tech who feels under-equipped for jumping into this? Or is it about the same, go work at Tesla?
What's wrong with having a welcoming customer environment? Just the opposite. Would you really want to have your car serviced in a smelly, filthy environment? A repair shop doesn't have to look and smell like an oil slick to serve its purpose. To your other question, people are buying a low to mid five figure premium electric vehicle, then expect them to be fixed at air-cooled Volkswagen shadetree mechanic prices? Seriously, Clem? If you can't afford to PAY professionals, don't hire them. Might be time to buy a service manual, some metric wrenches, and "edu-mucate" yourself with some Yooo-toobe videos.
Love 😍 more, the big saround of the outside space
Our family use to have a winter home near Ocala. Nice shop! Got a futuristic-scifi vibe going on.
Congratulations 😊👍🌹
Beautiful!
Excellent
looks good
You need to open an electrified garage in Fernandina Beach florida. So many tesla cars here and Duval County florida.
Wait... I live in Ocala. Since when do we have cool shit in Ocala?!
Floors look better than just epoxy.
you should install an hansshow audio upgrade kit and test it out on m3. curious to know if its worth it
Is that Mustie1's old diablo kit car?
GD, ... that's cleaner than my kitchen.
Uhm, can I have that roadster?
Garden tools???
Battery powered garden tools. I have many from this brand. They are awesome and oddly make me want to do yard work!

Lovely, but the shop is _way_ too clean and organized. Will scare customers away as they will assume an Ultra-Luxe invoice from any repair. :-)
