In a short video, we captured the lively "Training and Jobs for Women in Construction - Open Day" event. The day kicked off with a warm welcome to incredible women eager to explore training and job opportunities in the construction industry. DLI Training and Cumberland City Council provided insights on how attendees could make the most of the event. Our keynote speaker, Beth Mercieca, shared her inspiring journey as a woman in the industry and encouraged others to join.
Exhibitors introduced themselves, inviting attendees to explore their stalls and discover valuable takeaways. DLI Training recommended equipment based on interests and desired career paths, while employers offered jobs and answered industry-related queries. The excitement was palpable as attendees tried construction equipment under the trainer’s expert guidance, boosting their confidence and prompting many to sign up for courses.
The event concluded with DLI Training and Cumberland City Council offering free courses to 20 participants, hoping to give them the push into fulfilling careers in construction. We extend our gratitude to all participants and exhibitors whose contributions made this collaborative effort such a resounding success!
