- I had to add a digit to my channel subscription counter because so many of you were kind enough to subscribe.
Many thanks and I hope you enjoy the build video.

Wintergatan army incoming!
It is going to flood here.
Just arrived from Martins channel.
@@matthewdunstone4431 me too! And it is amazing!
Yep!
ASSEMBLE
You better start on adding a extra digit there, it is going to be needed soon! :-)
More like an extra 2 digits.
More like an extra 3 digits
You're going to need a bigger shelf
I like how he designed it to be able to add another one (or two or more!) in front
@@Carnac311 yes, this is smart
thats not even counting that once you get into the millions subscriber range where it only shows a change every like 10k
I also assume: Soon you will need a much bigger shelf. Fröhliche Weihnachten.
Here from wintergatan. You sir deserve some serious appreciation ❤️
The most impressive part to me is how it counts up through purely mechanical means.
EDIT: I was here before it was cool!
That's what motivated me. Could have used 7 solenoids but where's the fun in that ? ;)
Agreed! The whole time I'm thinking about how I would approach this problem and my eyes lit up when I saw the numbers increment mechanically! Well done sir! Very impressive. Love this project
@@fhuable How did you make them increment mechanically?
I see, mechanical programming gears. Ingenious. Though, you could have used a single motor to power your entire system if you wanted to, it would just be a matter of creating a gear with 10 possible node positions, and using a single node to initiate the next module. Of course, you’d have to take the increasing resistance into account, but if you prefer mechanical, this is certainly an option! :3
@@bushytail7262
Similar gear system to what operated Odometers before they made them digital.
I pressed subscribe, but the number on the display did not increase? Truly, ingeniously, all congratulations on your work !!!
Oh, but it just did :D
Having tried to build a mechanical 7 segment display and failed miserably I can only salute your ingenuity. Brilliant work and a delight to watch. Video also professuinal.
Came here from Wintergatan... and then I notice how he assembles the pieces wearing the "I believe" t-shirt - love it!! :-)
That's a really impressive piece of design... Beautifully implemented too.
Recently I have been thinking about building a mechanical clock. Your design is very inspiring. It is so complicated and yet simple. A perfect combination. Thanks for sharing your project.
Awesome craftsmanship. Can't resist to subscribe...
I like the way how the digital world and the physical world shake hands in this project.
Congratulations on dedication, dedication and quality of everything you do. a very big greeting from Argentina.
So cool! I love the way you filmed this. And great job on the 3D print and electronics, as well.
Very nice project! Perfect design and fabrication. Congrats !!
Super well done! Great content!
Thank you sir.
Such an awesome design. Keep it up!
Awsome counter Florian! I love that wooden look.
THIS IS PURE MAGIC!
My channel might need a second digit soon! LOL 🤣🤣🤣 Nice work!
Omg, you are so talented. Much respect.
Looking forward to you building another 3.
Great work 👍🏼
Thanks. It will take a good while until that will be necessary :)
I never would have thought to do it like that! Super clever!
This is one of the coolest projects I have ever seen on UA-cam!! Greetings from a german Maker and professional Engineer!!! Great Job. Good Luck for your Channel :)
Found this courtesy of your post in the 3D Printing Useful Things! group on FB. +1 sub!
Awesome. Good work buddy!!!
Really impressive project and perfectly executed! Instant subscription, prepare to make more of those! XD
totally fall in love with it! many thannks
Awesome 🧡 I think you need more digits 😁
thank you 👍
Wow, amazing! You have a new subscriber (Wintergatan send me here :)
Beautiful design!
Congrats! Looking forward to watching you make a new digit soon.
See you 8950 subscribers later :)
Holy cow dude, you have got to be wicked smart to come OP with something like that on your own
So much effort, so well done, great job man
You are very talented, well done, I could never make something like this.
Amazing channel! Cant wait for more content!
I was wondering how you much control the thing has.
So the fact that it is only one motor tells me it is a very clever mechanical counter with some basic electronics to keep track where it is.
Nice idea with the two stable snapping positions and a combination of gear ratios with pinion count for setting the different phases.
I imagine it was quite a headache to plan this out. Well done 👍
Tim Solinski I too would love to learn how he planned this out
Wow.. That's impressive... Subbed 👍🏻
oh gosh your prints are so clean.
hope mine get that perfect.
Absolutely amazing
Martin sent us here :)
This is a work of art!
Just wow.
you have the engineering skills of a watchmaker. Absolutely brilliant! I wish you to need some more digits :-)
Herzlichen Glückwunsch! Super gemacht! Gruß Rainer
Top. Mal wieder ein echter Florian. Grüsse Michael
Masterpiece of engineering !
Thats awesome dude
Worthy of a subscribers
Impressive!
breathtaking!
I think you need more of that display. It was awsumm
this is an awesome project
Nice job!
I need to build this RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!😍😍😍
Très impressionnant bravo 👏 !
When you're watching someone celebrate 1000 subs and you notice that now they have 8k subs
9.6K by the time I got here a day later! Hope he has another digit ready! :)
I love the wood effect. Very.. um.. effective.
Impressive work! You have earned one more subscriber (yes Wintergatan sent me here too).
와....이건 역대 미친 영상이다!!! 놀랍고도 엄청난 ♡
I recommend you start printing a new digit asap ;) Very cool project!
This is such beautiful work. It’s a fully resolved product! I want to know so much more. Can we have a deep dive video into the source of the inspiration, the prototyping, your design choices, the equipment you are using, how you are making your PCBs, what software you use. MORE PLEASE! P.S. Wintergarten sent me.
Never mind. I just explored the description.
It's a really cool video.
You need to take the next step😁
Thats is fantastic 👏 😀
Oh, i want so bad a clock like this
Thats not a clock
@@uniqueusernane8204 ur a bit dumb
A mechanical digital clock? Heck yeah!
It'd need a bit more logic in the back to be properly all-mechanical, but that should be doable if I find someone who knows what they're doing.
Amazing video dude
I'm very impressed. Would love more explanation.
What would you like to know?
really good work!
amazing video!!! i like it
This is too cool. Hello from Wintergatan channel.
This is incredible!
That was awesome!
I would really like to order 4 of them to use them as a clock! Really cool one can look inside to see the art in engeneering!
Really cool!! A couple requests, if possible, Assuming you made the etching bath bubbler and UV breifcase, could you make videos on how you did? Also would really like to hear you explain what your doing as you make these video/do these projects. It would be a lot more engaging and bring your videos to a whole new level.
If this was a clock I would buy it, nice work
Wow, that's awesome! :)
Another subscriber from Martin's army.
very soon you will need a 5th/6th clock lol. Coming from wintergatan. Awesome work!
I would love to see how to build a watch using this method. Great job congratulations
That’s so cool
Belo trabalho!
UA-cam is recommending this video to people, you are going to need another digit very soon (hopefully before the new year starts)
Very impressive
That's really an impressive job.
I do like these "useless" but sooo clever stuffs !
--> you got one subscriber more (willl need one more digit soon)
JP
this is cool, would be interested in purchasing a diy kit, if you ever made one, so i could give this as a gift
SO COOL
I don’t have any clocks, but I’d love a clock like this. 😍
awesome!
Pretty incredible how you essentially made the 'pins' on your gears into a mechanical version of a 7 segment character table. Two gears for each of the 7 segments... Clocking them all the the exact right position must've been a nightmare. Extremely clever design though, keep up the good work!
You're almost at 10k, might as well make 3 more digits now ;)
Amazing
Awesome
time to make another one!
Pretty cool!
Many thanks to Martin for the link to this beautiful channel.
Das Abo ist sicher!
Greetings from Germany to New Zealand,
Wolfgang
very very gooood
That's some genius level shit. Fantastic.
Going to need another soon...
Stupendo
Your subscription counter should just have increase by one now :-)
Viele Grüße aus Deutschland und frohe Weihnachten nach NZ :-)
Looks like you'll have to build another one!
