I have to add one more comment as well! The Ace is absolutely brilliant work! You're not just a scale modeler, you're a master of the Art! You definitely have my respect.

Bayin Wu Studio thanks B!
Looking forward to part 2. Great work so far
230 in the morning and I watched you paint the tank, great job and you've taught me some excellent stuff, thanks mate, Cheers from Australia.
Nice work to say the least! Love my Tigers as well you make the zimmerit application look easy...I know first hand it isn’t, but I definitely will try what you show here. Congrats on your awards, well deserved, and thank you for taking the time to share your work on the videos. 👍
You are a true professional artist my man. Ty for posting your work.
Excellent zim and airbrushing Bayin. Congratulations for the show awards. I saw Ace Pilot at Telford last year and thought it was magnificent. Fingers crossed you bring Das Boot to Scale Model World this year, it looks incredible
Congratulations on the award. Killer build.
And a great looking Tiger 1. 👍😃
Can't wait to see next part!
Interesting chipping technique. I've got to test your way
Best regards!
Beautiful piece. Definitely learned a few things. Thanks for the info. And congrats on the award.
Great work man. you're very talented and dedicated. But I would strongly suggest that you wear gloves for the epoxy your using. It can damage your skin in unseen ways(I had to learn that the hard way😝)
Congrats on your wins. Das Boot looks awesome. Great video.
Yes, a new Video! Can't wait to see what you made again x)
Awesome work and congratulations for a well deserved win 🏁💯 very helpful video, and I hope you make more!
I always made my own zimmerite with Testors plastic putty. You have to do a small section at a time, and it kept the model clean. Apply 2-3 line of putty and smooth flat w/ exacto knife then make line section w/ sm. flat head screwdriver or with sm.flat metal.
incredible work, you are truly a master of the scale models, eagerly awaiting your next work
Very nice model and very nice video quality ! Im waiting for part 2 !
Beautifully airbrushed rendering

Excellent tutorial.
Amazing work!
I like your way of painting and chipping , it seems you get inspiration by Michael Rinaldi, i do chipping my models by his advises too
Great video! Thanks a lot!
Really good work!
Way to go Bayin. Dam fine awards that are hard to get. Major competition at the European shows! And I want to bring up the expected life span of a German tank from 44 on was pretty short though the Germans were very good at returning damaged tanks back to service. I have always thought that some wear from crew or re-stocking but battle damage was more likely.
You are right on the life span issue, and there are a couple of things I'd like to bring up:
First as you said, the life span wasn't very long for tanks at that time - they were built, shipped out to the units and then quite soon thereafter destroyed, either by the enemy or - which was quite likely - either abandoned or destroyed by it's crew. That means that there wouldn't be that much chipped paint to begin with, especially since:
Point 2: The paint used back then was a lead-based paint which was applied THICK - I mean, if you chip the paint of an armored vehicle from that time, the layers are almost a third of a mm thick. The paint job was meant to protect the metal as much as possible, and that kind of paint in those layers did the job pretty well. That is not to say paint didn't wore off - it just seldom had the time to do it in the amount we all too often see on models. Where paint wore off from crews climbing in and out of the tank, the metal was bare and almost polished, especially around the hatches where the clothing rubbed the paint.
Battle damage was more common, especially on heavier tanks that could take some punishment, but that left craters, holes and other hard damage to the tank - not scratched paint.
All that said, it's a nice job, but quite overdone. The one thing you can't overdo on a model tank (but where the mantra is, 'don't overdo it!') is weathering - tanks attract dirt like small children, but if they are covered in mud and dust and shit - how could we ever see all those nice chips?
Looks pretty good so far.
Great job 👍
Hello, thanks for the outstanding content. Could you explain the addition of yellow and white to the base colors?
Ok. Buen trabajo. Saludos desde Asturias.
Cool editing🤙🏻
Great explanation!!!!
Really nice work
Very interesting! Thank you!
I hope next video will be soon :)
And I hope we will have another one youtube "plastic model star" ;)
Good luck!
Why have I not discovered your channel until now!
amazing work
Nice work!!
终于更新啦
Beautiful!
Man you`re good !
When I was little, I bought it for my parents. I am grateful. It was precise.
i learn alot , thank you
Good Job!!
What's being added to the paint from the pump bottle?
Great Tutorial! How much time do you wait between applying color and chipping? So how long do you let the paint dry before chipping?
Excellent video. Could you, please, explain why do you prefer to make the chipping in 2 stages (1st on dark yellow, 2nd on brown/green), than just once after the camo colorours have been done? Is it about the worn out effect on brown/green colours and to show the yellow paint underneath?
Great job! Your chipping technique is better controlled with the metal tools!
great video and grats on your awards. quick question, why didnt you chip all at once after applying your camo? Thanks
wow nice work.
Fantastic
Amazing
amazing video
Very nice 👍
Loved this kit! Can you make a diorama w/ it?
Thanks to UA-cam recommendations, I found the way here! I really like the way how you made the Zimmerit and the chipping. Im gonna try that out when I buy myself a airbrush. Really nice video! Subbed and liked!
Greetings! TheTankIdiot
That is clearly one of the best video's I've ever seen - intended to make one myself but believe it or not you can't get a zimmerit roller tool in the UK...????
Did he spray another layer if hairspray after the the yellow?
Very very useful 🥰
Did you add another later of hairspray after the satin varnish before you applied the camoflage colors?
Fantastic work. For a beginner, what would you say is the cost in dollars for a project like this, from buying the kit to finishing all the painting and detailing?
What’s the name of the tool you used to roll out the zimmerit?
Is there a tutorial on what paints and mixtures he uses for what and when?
Cool video, I’m wondering if they are the original tracks you got with the kit on the Tiger I or did you buy a different type, I’m asking because the tracks that came with my tiger I wasn’t very good and I’m trying to find replacements.
What are you using to dilute the paint? Never used Tamiya paints but I would like to give it a try.
Very inspirational video, thanks
Very nice! What do you use for thinner?
How did you move on to the second layer of chipping if you sealed the first with satin varnish before adding the camo colors?
i need that zimmerit roller and stamp tool. i just did my zimmerit with a tiny little 0.7 trowel that came with the kit and it was a nightmare lol. although it's the first model I've done in about 30 years, it looks not too too bad lol. I'm stuck now at the painting stage. should i paint the wheels and tracks before i put them on? or just paint everything all at once, is the question?!
Thanks!
Good job
Hi Bay , great video and I thoroughly enjoyed it. After our wee chat the other day if your down south do you think you may make the Telford show in November ? If so your very welcome to stay at mine , family is welcome to. I have a double and single spare rooms so your very welcome. Plus I live three miles away quite literally from Alton Towers so there's always there to go plus the lovely surrounding countryside and I live 5 miles away from the best model shop in the world ..... Emodels and I'm in with the staff and owner Pete so we could have a look around there etc !!! Just an idea . Stay safe buddy
Mottys Military Models Hey, thanks for the offer, I think I will be in telford and surly we can have a beer together or sth.
I bought two models from a garage sale a few years ago a Tiger and a Panzer both brown but already made up.Tracks already on etc..I would like to cammo both of them.I dont have a paint spray gun.Any hints and Ideas?
This is just f*****g impressive. By the way I have a question. I struggle painting camouflage pattern on my panther tank. No matter how much i thin down the tamiya paint (xf-61 and red brown used with original thinner) i get those small dots of paint around the straight line. While it makes no difference in painting main color , it is just a nightmare when ya want perfectly smooth line. What could I do to solve out this problem?
Hi Bayin
Could you tell me what that metal roller is you have please
Cool edits..
3:00 You're mixing the Dunkelgelb with a bit of White and Yellow?
what fluid are you using when you do the pile of the paint ?
Love you name BAYIN! it means something in english or it is just cool sounding?
What liquid are you using for the chipping?
What's the name of the tool you used to make the zimmerits?
What do you call that tool your using to roll the putty.
Hi, I'm looking for models which require less assembling/glue. I bought some Revell for my kid but he get's so frustrated and I unfortunatelly can't help him with that cause I also suck at glue those tiny parts. Is there anyone who can recommend something that is more like those GI Joe aircrafts/vehicles that you put together without any glue? Thank you.
Congratulation👏
Oh🚀
Details💥
impressive👍 🙏work🌈
