Wife called me for dinner and said our Okie windmill people have posted a new video, had to ask her to start from the beginning. She was born in Oklahoma and love's to see the places you work.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You never really miss someone until there gone. Especially someone who you love and depend on, like Moma there. Please have her put on a hard hat when you are up on a tower. Not raging on you just enjoy watching your channel and seeing how well you two work together. God bless ! I’ll be watching and enjoying.
Great video!! Was listening to what you were saying when you were describing the water coming up then going down but not flowing out. I got to thinking 🤔 and I said out loud "it has to be a seal?" LMAO 😂😂! The wife looked at me and just stared at me because I was super quiet and focused then all the sudden blurting out something 😂😂! And when you pulled the leather piece out and showed the bad seals I was like I think I'm actually starting to understand better and slowly get it. Now I still could never do the job you guys do but as always I love to watch and be a part of the experience of what yall do everyday
Haha you knew it before we even did!!!!!!!!! I think it’s funny how you described her staring at you like you were crazy lol. Mine does the same thing when I’m glued to something. She will even talk to me and I don’t hear her, lol. You could totally do this, if I can, ANYBODY can!!!!!!
@@OkieWindmiller when you were talking about the water going up and then down it sounded like there was excess air in the line which it just seemed natural that it was a seal. It was pumping but if there is air in the line it will not allow it to be as effective so yeah I have been watching and definitely listen 👂 to what y'all are saying and teaching
Really enjoy watching you two 😊. I do agree with a previous comment that Mama should wear at least a bump cap 😮. I cringe when you drop your tools on the ground 😳 under your feet. Have you tried a tool belt? What an interesting profession and thanks for sharing 👏👏👏🤗
I try to make every one that I reinstall a draw cylinder style pump. That way you can just pull the sucker rod out after the top disassembled. That way every thing doesn't have to be disassembled and pulled out. Specially on deep ones. Iv pulled one that was close to 400ft that deep for a wind mill 😉💯👍✌️
Leather are bad for sure . If it was a bad pipe once it starts to spin faster water will still flow out .😉 I'm the only person that repair wind mill in my 300mile area in California. Nice rig 5t smeal just a guess from a quick glance 😉🫡💯👍✌️ just seen the controls it's a pullstar there the only one with control straight up and down. 😉
Yep!!!!! You are correct!!!!! We live this pulstar for sure!!! I would love to come hang out in California and work on a few windmills for a couple weeks! Has to be cooler there, I hope!
@@OkieWindmiller for the most part it nice. Windmill aren't to common here any more there probably 100 left the rest are going solar now. I do residents and ag basically anything I also rebuild all booster pump. You would enjoy it out here most small well are from 40ft to 250ft on the coast line💯👌✌️
@@OkieWindmiller I no what you mean the ag wells out here are like ground hogs day. I try not to do any if I don't have to. Line shaft turban not the funnest thing to work on. The same thing over and over 😅😂🫡💯👍✌️
Thank you. No, the problem(only problem I’m aware of) in my opinion, is that lack leathers ability to swell and seal better, which makes them move more water. You can get blow by with the neoprene/rubber ones. Again, this is only my opinion. I have a whole sleeve of these on the truck that I just wont use. Thank you for liking our channel!!!!!
Well good question! They have synthetic seals on the market, but I don’t care for them. They don’t feel right and don’t swell and create a good seal, which is what moves the water. Leather is great on new and worn barrels. It conforms to the shape of the barrel. Hope this helps!!!! Thank you for watching!
Thank you! It’s supposed to, but I can’t guarantee that. So many people have cloned these over the years and they all had different tolerances , but those 2 should work together.
Aermotor threads are not metric, but wind engine may be. I have never had one to see. I wouldn’t think they are. The 8’ I believe is a 13/32 thread. Kinda weird.
Haha thank you! Well depends on the job, and how long it takes. Some are simple which makes not much video, and some are all day which gives all kinds of content!!!! Also, I get people saying they don’t like long videos, lol. I prefer longer videos too, but just depends on the job. Thank you for watching. The one I’m editing right now is gonna be in the hour and 20 min range! Stand by!!!!😀
We have them, but don’t do much good in the truck! We may have to start wearing them for sure. We do sunscreen and most of the time UV resistant clothes. We do not want skin cancer at all! Thank you for watching!!!!
It very enjoyable to watch you both
Thank you so much!!!!!!!

Good job daddy.
Bahahahaha thank you!!!!!!
I'm guessing the plastic pipe makes it a lot quicker putting the well back together since you don't have to use the hoist to move the pipes around.
Oh yes!! Plastic pipe is just as good as steel pipe, and you don’t have to fight as much rust! Also easier to put back in the hole!!!!!

Great job, I take it rubber or synthetic "Leathers" won't hold up to the constant use and exposure to the water?
have a great day

Hahahaha wished I had!!!!!🤣
Two nubie questions. Would synthetic rubber seals last longer? Or maybe I should ask why do you go back and replace leather seals with leather?

Nice video. Will a wind engine motor work on my 8' aermotor mill.
Thank you! It’s supposed to, but I can’t guarantee that. So many people have cloned these over the years and they all had different tolerances , but those 2 should work together.
Is it true that the threads are metric? My wheel arms may or may not screw in to the wind engine hub possibly. But I'm not sure.@@OkieWindmiller

Looks like you need a holster for ur impact
Oh man I know it!!! I kinda had one but it was always falling out, one time it landed on concrete and I never used it again…….
Why do you need a water tank next to a pond?
My cows would rather drink from the stock tank on dry ground than the mud around the pond. Unless they want to go for a dip to cool off.
Yep, they will walk around a beautiful pond to get to a stock tank!
Thanks
👍👍😎
