The reason why ABA changed her hair was, of course, because she dyed it. In a recent interview with the guilty gear dev at Evo 2024, they said lord Daisuke himself pointed an arrow at her hair in her first design sketch and wrote 'she dyed her hair because she started to get into fashion', no other explanation provided.
In order to create alternate realities by rocking out, you have to play a guitar solo so immensely divine, that it cannot be done again. Much like the one in Dio's "Rainbow in the Dark."
I think probably the biggest mistake in Woolies series is the way they present the Ky and Dizzy having Sin and becoming king thing. The new country that the Conclave was blackmailing Ky to be the king of *is* Illyria. He wasn't a king of anything prior to that, he was just an IPF officer. Sol takes care of Sin both to protect him from the Conclaves blackmail, and to allow Ky to focus on being the king. He never really wanted to be king of anything, it was forced onto him. In a way, I think he's the perfect person to be a leader, but nevertheless this aspect still informs some later developments so I think it's important to mention.
Fun fact, based on her backstory, there’s a theory that the ghost that possesses Zappa is the ghost of Axl Low’s girlfriend that he ended up leaving behind when he got cursed with time travel
@@TheLegitWeebs Yea there was a fan theory that S-Ko (the ghost’s name) was his girlfriend Megumi because on the fourth update to XX called Accent Core Plus, if you go through the game with Axl and you beat Zappa, you can get an ending where he briefly sees his girlfriend be for being sent through time, and in the ending, she looks near identical to S-Ko.
Doom, Yama, and Paul mentioned. Yay tower of god. Also, I do love Daisuke's XX art. The strange postures, great expressions... And Ky's sin was marrying a gear, betraying humans. Or something like that. for Ky and Sol, fighting is there way of making out. Ok, that is enough edits/updates to this for me.
You won't get the conclusions to their stories unless you go out yourself and play Bridget and A.B.A's arcade modes in Strive so I'll summarize them both here for you :) So about 5 years has passed between Guilty Gear XX and Guilty Gear Strive, in that time Bridget has grown up and successfully become a world famous bounty hunter, bringing riches to her town and dispelling the rumor about same sex twins, but something begins to feel missing for her even still. Throughout the series even though she was trying to present herself as a man, it's interesting that she never got rid of her feminine clothes, also one of the few people she tries to look to for help on being more masculine is BAIKEN of all people, so take that how you will. She runs into Goldlewis who is out hunting cryptids and tries to take Roger, where afterwards the confusion about her appearance vs her gender comes up. They fight a second time and Goldlewis notices somethings bothering her, and he really hits the nail on the head in a couple of ways. In the normal ending Bridget fights Ky with Goldlewis's help and then afterwards Ky also notices her seeming troubled. Ky's arc with his relationship with Dizzy has always been known as an allegory for queer relationships, so they use that a lot in her arcade mode to relate the two characters. In that ending she ends by outwardly exclaiming that she's a girl and that it's up to herself to decide who she is, not any outside forces. The harder endings show Bridget and Ky having an all out 1-on-1 duel and Bridget is very inspired by both his strength and in his bravery to go public about his family at long last. In the end of the hardest difficulty Ky also invites her to visit the castle any time and that Dizzy would love to see her again :3 (I don't think Woolie ever mentioned it but Bridget, May and Dizzy all became good friends aboard the Mayship at one point) A.B.A has had a long time to adjust to the outside world now since leaving Frasco. Her interests now sort of mirror that of a teenage girl, mainly beauty and fashion. Nevertheless tho her jealousy and protectiveness over Paracelsus remains, and is so powerful that it causes Paracelsus to change shape, resulting in the goopy look his transformed state has in Strive. In Strive A.B.A encounters Testament who as of late just likes to sightsee. The normal ending is just kind of silly, it ends with Paracelsus asking Testament to end his misery, which they decline. It's kind of a weird thing for Paracelsus to say considering a later development though. In the harder endings Testament points out the issue with her jealousy and its effect on her lover, which she says she's been aware of too, and she pretty abruptly decides they need to break up, but then they keep getting interrupted by Elphelt! Eventually things settle down, Elphelt says that A.B.A's love for Paracelsus is true, Paracelsus says he said nothing of wanting to leave A.B.A, and offers the possibility that the both of them could work harder to be better for eachother even if they don't know how, they can still try. In order to prove it's possible, he changes and turns BLUE! A.B.A's favorite color. A.B.A passes out and it sorts just ends there, but I guess now in the future when we see them, Paracelsus will be blue lol. Both of these characters completely missed Xrd, although apparently Bridget almost made it, and she also does appear minorly in Vastedge lol. But like, even Zappa, who didn't appear in Xrd either, at least had a big role in the story. These two were just absent for so long, but it's cool to see how far they've come off screen now. Bridget was the reason I finally bought the game when she first released in Strive, and then by the time A.B.A came out I was a complete nerd expert about this series and seeing a character so niche and seemingly forgotten get such red carpet treatment felt so surreal, she really took me by surprise and now both of them are my mains :3
@@kaialone they could, I guess, but it would probably be a bit confusing without the context of how the modes work, and I've also just not seen someone do a video on the arcade mode stories specifically before lol
Guilty Gear Xrd is apparently called that cause they couldnt call it Guilty Gear XXX Speaking of which, since Xrd is a fully voiced cinematic experience, you could probably just watch it as is once you get to that part in woolie's vids (it's kinda long tho cause it has 2 campaigns plus their arcade modes and three half hour extra stories 🤔) Strive isn't covered by woolie tho so you'd prolly have to watch it as is; but its also p good (it's just story mode, a single extra story, and optionally the arcades afterwards)
You might have realized by now, but Valentine and Elphelt Valentine are different people. That wasn't Elphelt in this video, altho them two plus Ramlethal Valentine are all sisters.
"Bridget left the village to prove he can be successful as a man and show the village's supperstition are wrong." As someone who don't really play fighting game or know Guilty Gear lore, I heard the Devs changed Bridget into a trans character because of Western agenda and the internet threw a fit over it. Is that still the case?
No, it has nothing to do with western agenda.. Bridget becoming trans is just the next step of her story. There's 15 years between those two games. Strive is her realizing she doesn't have to prove herself as a man, and can be happy as she is.
No, Bridget becoming trans is just the most current lore. This isn't like, say, Poison from Street fighter where she is a woman in the japanese release and made trans by localisers. I guess she just decided she liked it better as a girl. Good for her.
