I saw her perform this live a month ago. It was amazing. It's a testament to how great a performer she is that the songs sound even better live.

Oddly enough I've never liked Florence and The Machine. Alot of friends find it weird because they go on about how similar she sounds to BFL but I've just never really seen/heard it. I've been fortunate to have seen BFL live many times and she's always brilliant. The best live incarnation for me was during the Two Suns tours in 2009 - the live band were really brilliant - Sarah Jones on drums (very under-rated drummer); Ben Christophers on snyths and odds and ends; and Charlotte Hatherley on guitar.
they don't sound too similar to me but they have a similar atmosphere if that makes sense.
+niraea Personally I don't think she's anything like Florence + the Machine, but I've never seen them live. I've heard that comparison before, but don't really hear it myself. Natasha is an incredible performer, though. It was worth going to the show just to see her performance of Sleep Alone. That was a thing of beauty.
Yeah, I saw her for the Haunted Man tour. I was expecting it to be amazing, but it still blew my mind how good she was live.

According to a recent interview "The Bride" actually started life as a short film. Natasha had actually wanted to take a break from music after touring "The Haunted Man" and go into writing and directing films.
I woke up with a snippet of these lyrics in my mind and had to search for them. Shocked it wasn't already in my playlist.
I love Natasha so much! Her music, her imagery, her amazing voice and lyrics... It's pure magic every time. She's my favorite modern pop artist and I can't wait for the new album!
