I downgraded from pro plan to Purina one. In my younger days I fed my bullies Purina one. Now I’m seeing people on UA-cam say to stay away from Purina altogether … 😩 I just want happy & healthy bullies man.
@calimangrower1590 dogs would live for almost 20 years on ol Roy 30 years ago. Now they won't even make it to double digits before they get cancer. Anything owned by the big companies is the same way now, complete lack of quality anymore.
You didn’t downgrade when you switched to Purina one. They are both premium dog foods. The only real difference is when you buy pro plan, Purina gets more of your money.
I am mad at Purina,I started my litter of puppies on Purina one,they loved it and were doing fine,next time I went to buy it couldn't find it anywhere,only great big bags,to expensive.so I tried Purina puppy chow,they would not eat it.i ended up switching to iams,can get it in smaller bags almost anywhere,can't send a new puppy owner home with puppy food and them have the hassle of not getting a small bag of food.so I was more than willing to keep them on Purina and send 6 new customers their way they need to change their marketing campaign can't find it as easy as they say except for huge bags.
Both are mostly rice, corn and wheat. After rendering, there is very little chicken in either food. Corn Chex breakfast cereal is corn and corn meal. Not much difference. Who wants seconds? LOL
My dad grew up in Jamaica and his family fed their dogs corn meal and cod fish. They lived long happy lives. I don’t think corn is so bad . It’s not the same as HFCS.
Dogs need nutrition, not ingredients. It irks me when ppl on the internet think they know better than VETERINARY NUTRITIONISTS that work for Purina. They made the recipes. It's balenced and my dogs always get a clean bill of health at the vet thank you very much
@mydogsupplement7507 anything PURINA is utter garbage and terrible for a pets diet. Not all kibble is bad but anything you can get at Walmart or Costco is gonna slowly kill your pet.

Purina One provides premium nutrition with better ingredients, while Purina Dog Chow is a more affordable option.

Funnily we look for the huge bags and can’t find them. I guess it depends on the region, but they need to figure that out with the pet stores

Anything purina is the equivalent of chicken nuggets.
Purina makes dog food that contains chicken. Purina Pro Plan contains shredded chicken
