- In a previous video about the city Tomsk, Russian viewers wrote that the city looks much better, and I used old photos.
Well…. See updated photos for 2021-2023. Significant difference!
* The video also uses current photos from Google Earth.
Surprised by some well-painted houses in Tomsk. But at 5:02, the girl in the middle, in the red coat, holds a sign saying "I am against (the war? Her bottom line is obscured.). At 5:07, the girl's sign says "No to war." Both thoughts are illegal in the RF.
Michael Last Name Yes, at 5:02 it says "I am against the war." These few rallies (3-5 people) were held in Tomsk on February 24, 2022. All participants in the rally were detained by the police. Now in Russia for such actions they give real terms of imprisonment. This is inconceivable!
@@TheRWorld First offence gives usually just a fine. For young often a only a warning. The warning can be only oral but cases of violent warnings has been reported too
Mika Timonen The young people are calling for peace. And such a position should be fined...
Empire of Crooked Mirrors
I’ve been to Tomsk, and what I seen was a beautiful city, this isn’t how people live in Tomsk, perhaps the poorest people live like this, but we have similar run down areas in any western city.
Also Russian aren’t going to Ukraine just to kill Ukrainians, they are going there because we staged a coup in 2014 to remove the democratic elected president and install a pro U.S. president.
If China did that in Mexico I bet my life we wouldn’t wait for 8yrs to invade, we would’ve flatten Mexico for even thinking about an alliance with China.
Western aggression has a major part to play in this war, and we are the ones that’s fueling this war at the expense of the Ukrainian people.
We have done this same playbook many times before, as we are a nation that’s controlled by the military industrial complex.
Also we are far from a democracy, as we inky get to choose between two candidates from a uni party with the same ideology.
That looks grim. They need less oligarchs and money spent on the ordinary people
Rod Dorman The Russian people themselves chose how to live. It's their choice.
Thank you for watching.
That's a great point: spending the money on the ordinary people, improving the life of everyone and not just the life of the politicians and oligarchs
Stanislav Telebanovic Maybe politicians don't see the need to spend money on improving the quality of life of ordinary people. Ordinary people are happy with everything. They don't ask for more. Why then "extra" expenses?
@@TheRWorld Excellent point! From my perspective, it is sad that an average person lives in poverty. And we are talking about the most rich country in the world; rich with natural resources.
@@TheRWorld I actually think the czar wants to kill russians more than Ukrainians. Less people on pension, less people needing a share of his riches.
They have expensive cars and mobile phones and are quite well dressed but aren't able to spend money repairing their houses!Either their priorities are all wrong or they can't be bothered. As always, lots of money for the military.
Jolyon Holloway Expensive car, phone and clothes give the appearance of success and prosperity. Thank you for watching
@@TheRWorld So does a well cared for house and neighbourhood. The priority is all wrong. When where you live is in a good state of repair, then it's time to think about cars and mobile phones.
Jolyon Holloway You are right. Perhaps Russians don't think so.
I have traveled all over the USA for decades, and I can show you many ugly scenes of garbage, slum housing, poverty, crime, graffiti, etc. You can start your reality tour at Gary, Indiana.
bboucharde You are right. There are such scenes in the USA and Europe.
There are many channels on UA-cam about life in the USA.
The Russian World channel shows the cities of Russia.
Thank you for watching
