He still smokes por but I think he's mellowed out since then and he has a wife and small stepson to take care of and keep happy so I don't think he gets too crazy anymore. Skid Row hasn't been able to reunite due to financial reasons (most likely terms Sebastian is holding out for) and that's it. Rob Affuso implied that it was close to happening, if it weren't for some dumb holdups and we can all imagine that's financial. If somebody threw the right price at them and they could get in a room together, a reunion could happen. Until then it won't.

There's an entire show from the Slave tour when SR played in Japan on here from like 91 or 92, it's pretty freaking good. Probably the best show I wasn't at, it's pretty much the classic lineup with Bas and Rob Affuso. They were on fire back then! During that time, if any band had to go on after SR I'm sure they were hating life.😲

Excellent interview and you asked one question I'd have asked when you brought up if it was considered to have Erik just kind of be the studio guy and use guest singers to tour. Scotti sounded surprised at that suggestion and admitted they never really considered that. It's too bad. I've been told Erik wanted to stay in the band and proposed some modifications to the tour schedule to better accommodate his health needs but they weren't interested in trying to be flexible. And it's shame because now they haven't toured at all. I wish @skidrow would reconsider and at least use Erik for the studio voice and maybe a few select shows and then use guest singers like Lzzy if they need someone to fill in on tour. That would be the best of both worlds IMO. I'm just bummed as I was hoping to hear another album from them with Erik as I really enjoyed The Gang's All Here. I fear they're about done now though and I have doubts they'll ever find another singer that'll excite me much.

One of those is, if you haven't seen Sebastian & Rob Affuso in the heyday then take a look at some footage from the first and second SR tours. Simply put, that band with those 5 players were on fire. At this point it is what it is, it's hard to believe SR is so adamant about not wanting to recapture some of that magic that could only happen if Bas & Rob came back, because together they were just that good. It's too bad the current lineup is so stubborn about this, at what point do you stop going from singer to singer? Maybe its time to try it another way, at least the same questions would finally subside?

Actually, you do. I played drums with my bass player for 30 years. I outlasted his 4 failed marriages, and we were together until he got MS and passed away in 2019. It definitely is like a marriage when you find the right players. It is literally like looking for a brother who was separated in childhood. I think they just literally got sick of Sebastian Bach. Shit, I've never even been in the same room with the guy, and I already know that I would be ready to wring his neck if I were in a band with him. Also he is singing most of the songs on Michael's next MSG album, again recording and sending them to Michael, no touring or traveling as he can't still. When they were done recording the album was like the bridge between the self titled and Slave. Bach fans only think Bach's new record sounds more Skid Row than Skid Row because he's singing on it. I don't think it sounds like Skid Row at all, just another Bach solo album.

The comparison with people wanting Bon Scott back in AC/DC was a stretch. I would hope that a Skid Row union would be more likely to happen. I think there is a problem when they think Sebastian is the exact same person as when he left Skid Row. They haven't hang out with him for a long while, so how would they know.
I am not even a big Skid Row fan but this would be a huge draw. Look at the numbers and what Creed and Limp Biskit are doing this year . Older and much more mature, they realized they need each other to make a decent living. Playing for Huge new and old crowds and having a ton of fun while doing it. Creed just sold out in Raleigh last night, many of my friends went and took their kids. With this economy and the way most folks are struggling they have a Golden ticket, and they are NUTs for not bringing Bach back for a reunion tour, securing a better future for them and their families.

Eric is great, I am sort of glad it didnt work out with skid row because i much prefered him with New Horizon and doing more power metal/melodic metal type of stuff. He was limiting himself imo. The notion that a female singer in a rock band is so out of the norm is hilarious to me...there are tons of female fronted rock bands...check out Nightmare for instance.
Your framing this question the wrong way… baz may have been toxic when they were 20! But u cant focus on one memory of a person. People can change. And baz is baz i get that. But with the options available today you could do this reunion and only see each other when the curtain drops. Your framing this question the wrong way… baz may have been toxic when they were 20! But u cant focus on one memory of a person. People can change. And baz is baz i get that. But with the options available today you could do this reunion and only see each other when the curtain drops. Then back to the separate buses etc. but no one is getting younger and this kinda chance is burning out more and more every year. Do one show for god sake 1 giant arena show let everyone come and then shut it down.
Bach hasn't changed though and that's the thing. They tried to reunite in 2016, they even had dates set, but Bach demanded a bunch of stuff, opened his David Lee Rothlike yap and ruined it. Proving he hadn't changed one bit. Js
@@shellybean9 everyone mellows with age it doesnt seem like it but 2016 was almost 10 years ago maybe hes gotten better. Again there are ways to do it now without as many headaches.
@@shellybean9 Okay and with all their other singers it was all happy life? Come on - they just know each other for a too long period of time! No chance for anybody to get in that inner circle. And what great singer/frontman would want to play with guys that think he doesn't really matter and that he can be replaced any second? Erik was THE PERFECT FIT! Yet they couldn't even work around his medical needs to have some more free time and a bit of a less tight schedule... well if they continue this way... they will have to play that often because they'll have to play the smallest venues and therefore many, many of them. But if they had tried to find a workaround Eriks needs.. they could have grown again and become a bigger act and therefore would have had enough leverage to play bigger venues but less frequently. But I guess they are - as cool as I find them since my teen years!! - in their sixties and they might have become a bit stubborn (if they haven't been stubborn always anyway). But hey: It's a free world I'm sooooooo glad that I've had the chance to see them with Baz in 1990 (that was one of THE best gigs I've ever attended!) an later in the 90's and then with Erik two times! So greatful for that - but I can't understand why they didn't do everything to keep Erik. And I find it disrespectful to Erik to say (Scotti in this Interview) that Lzzy Hale was the best frontperson Skid Row ever had. I love Lzzy - but come on... Erik did a hell of a job! And he was an awesome powerhouse on stage!

Nobody would know who Bach is either if the record company hadn't hired him. He wasn't SR's choice, they wanted their OG singer Matt Fallon. Bach after being fired from Madam X had already given up and gone back to Canada and almost didn't join SR.

No idea why „fans“ would want a reunion . Any „fan“ who followed Bach and saw and heard what he says about Skid Row in the last 25 years would never ask a reunion. He has a miserable character and doesn’t fit therefore in the band. There are plenty of great singers out there. The band is so great they just need another singer and continue to tour and write songs. I enjoyed every incarnation of the band but absolutely don’t want t the douchebach back
his character is not miserable, he's just not for pussies lol. guy's definitely a handful and you can get tired of him if you spend too long around him but noone else is in the same league as an entertainer, performer and charisma. no other 'reincarnation' of the band will ever work the way it did with him. ironically, lzzy hale may POSSIBLY be the only one with whom it would work. she's like a female bach when it comes to on stage presence and charisma (and even looks lmao). but funny how the only workable option is not available.
sebastian absolutely fit the band back then, I dont think anyone except the band knows the back stories...but without sebastian at that time, their stardom would be debatable. there were a ton of bands with great singers back then..and seb took them over the top imo. with that being said, there is too much water under that bridge for a reunion but it would have made a lot of money.
