Krabi is beautiful, plus Loi Kratong, palm trees, nachos, fruit smoothies, and massage. Also, the musicians playing George Benson's Masquerade ❤ Fantastic!

Hey Greenie, if you just wait a few seconds with those currency exchange boards they rotate between two pages of exchange rates. I had the same problem. Ao Nang is a great spot, not as much nightlife as Phuket but still good.

I went there many years ago. It seemed very touristy, but it's a good place to base yourself, for a nearby travels.
And you should visit the temple on the mountain, and also take a day trip to Railey beach.

I live in Ao Nang and it's awesome. Great place because it's quieter than Pattaya/Jomtien. It's also a central jump off point to all the great places to visit. Like Koh Lanta, Phi Phi, Koh Samui, Koh Tao, Similan Islands, Phuket.........

@@GreenyTravels too touristy for me If I want that, can get it in Pattaya, Phuket, or Samui. Go to Krabi to have more of a Hua Hin vibe.

If you are thinking about eating at that super nice restaurant on the beach, with like caves, I think you have to stay at the hotel to eat there. We tried when we were there in March. If it's the same place I'm thinking of.

I was at the AoNang Frank last year. Loved it. Jaw dropping views! Great scuba trips! Fun fire shows! The bar alley is called "RCA".
I enjoyed "Pyramids" middle eastern cuisine up the hill.

Krabi is horrible. I stayed close by the sea, 2 minutes outside my hotel I got 15 massage offers, 40 taxi rides, and 25 indians offering me happy hours.
That was after 10 days chilling on Koh Lanta.
Lanta is a wonderful place.
Yes. I noticed happy hour lasts all day and all night. We spent most of our days away from this area.
The main street is just for food, and to walk through to get to the boats.

Would you recommend coming to krabi? I’m thinking about coming for a few days while in Thailand to get away from craziness of Pattaya for few days but I’m in 2 minds.
Yes. Absolutely. It’s amazing scenery and you have access to all the island day trips from there

I’ve don’t it both was. Single and with girl. Both great but different experiences. I think date would be cool

Agree @Bakilovetheworld I moved from Jomtien/Pattaya to Ao Nang August 1st. I love it Great jump off point for almost everything. Did Koh Tao in September for a week. Fantastic place for snorkeling/diving. Now in Koh Lanta for a week. Chile vibe with great stuff like Koh Tao.

How many points per night did your stay cost?
I think about 16000. Was last minute though. My Bali was 14000 I booked months ago.
@@GreenyTravels thanks I have twenty nights coming up in January in Thailand 4 in hua hin which was a regular holiday inn which was the most expensive at about 20000 a night and 16 in pattaya at about 8000 a night at the express. I originally booked 8 nights in pattaya and found out I would be checking out around chinese new year. As I didn’t want to mess with finding a hotel and traffic I booked for another 8 nights. Also I couldn’t find any IHG hotels offering bookings with points for the four night deal.

I think the reason she was hesitant to give the coins as a tip is because other than maybe Pattaya and paying for a Baht bus, they take it more as rude or an insult. (According to a couple of my Thai Ex’s, better to give them nothing if it’s not a paper bill)
Interesting. We had been dealing with the same guy all weekend and he got a few paper tips. So I think he was cool with it. We had a pretty good rapport.

She still a little shy on camera. In reality we have a real good time. I think she is a little self conscious about speaking English but it’s pretty good in comparison to many I have dated here
