I was there a few weeks ago for a just over a week and our room was sort of opposite yours.. it’s not beach front as there is only one true beach front room there, right opposite the restaurant on the beach. We also sat at the same table with my feet up on it. You can’t rent a scooter there either, it’s for residents only. You’re on Sunrise beach and it’s beautiful if you’re up for it. Pattaya beach is sunset beach and that’s also beautiful. 200bht to land on the island for 5 days but we spent just over a week, I spoke to ppl who had stayed for 3 weeks without paying more. They don’t check when leaving.
Wow. 3 weeks there would be amazing. Loved that resort. Next time I would stay back from the beach too. Don’t think it was worth the extra cash
There's not many places in Thailand that I've never been to, but Koh Lipe is one of them. It looks absolutely spectacular. Great video Greeny.

Koh Lipe still looks pretty nice. It's been 10 years since my only trip. It takes some time to get to, so still not TOO overcrowded, I guess. Pretty chilled still and more than enough beach bars, multiple beer accessibility ! It's probably a lot less smoke, no ?

Great question. Which food do you like more? I would say go to Samui and Krabi in Thailand. Phu Quoc Vietnam is great because you don’t have to deal with getting on online visa. If you like big city nothing beats Bangkok

In Koh Lipe the saying goes: ‘life’s a beach’. So nice, tranquil and just how a small island with a beach should be.

If you have the chance go to On the Rocks restaurant. You need to get a scooter taxi and walk up to the resort on the side of the hill. Beautiful views and great food.

Is a paradise yeah! I remember all the stray dogs around my bungalow on sunrise beach. At least they have clinic and vaccine for rabies just in case, they will pick up your money with a lovely smile
I did t see too many stray dogs. Nothing like on my morning well’s in Na Jomtien. Dogs everywhere

I advise going in high season. I was there Sept 2022 it was their low season still.
Lipe looks great. I'm piqued and will check it out.
Hat Yai?
Be careful. I used to work in Ipoh, Malaysia and did a border run to Hat Yai on a spur (usually drove to Betong). Stayed at a downtown hotel with a MacD's beside it. Turns out the McD had been bombed 3 months before by separatists, killing 1 or 2. Think this was 2011 but still...watch yourself.

Nice food at the steak house, but the mum and dad shops had fabulous value and flavour! 10 Moons is where I’ll stay next time

I definitely need to start adding that more. A lot of people like to know. I just don’t even pay attention to it generally because everything is so cheap here. I did show massage price lol. Room was about $112 a night

Koh Lipe looks really nice. How much did the Sea to Moon Resort cost per night? How much did that Italian dinner cost? Maybe I’m an oddball, but I like to know the cost of things.

Looks nice place to visit but to live there I would probably get bored. I like big malls, air conditioned, coffee shops, restaurants.

My personal experience with Lipe is it's not worth it. It's more pricy and "trapped" in it's isolation. Great and amazing beaches. My wife is Thai and she said the people are not that friendly either. Not typical Thais, maybe influence from Malaysia? Easy to get around but since there's no cars and the motor taxis were crazy. Glad we went but won't return. Try Ko Lanta. That's my next island exploration
My lady was on Lanta yesterday to sign up some people for insurance. Said lots of traffic. It is Chinese new year though
