You will want to send it to an Ohlins dealer, which we are. Check out our @superbikeservices44 ,we just updated a Kawi damper during it's service. www.superbikeservices44.com
I have a OEM electronic one on the MT10 SP, I notice that in the centered wheel position there is free play in the damper which causes some wobbles.. Are those able to be serviced or is that a normal operation for those?
@@timmyho748 thanks for the quick reply! Ahh I see, Must be that as I don't remeber it having this when new. If you don't mind I have another question regarding the front forks... When hitting dips/holes or pulling hard on the bars the suspension makes a thud noise when the forks extend to their maximum on rebound.. Any idea what could be the cause of this? The very top doesn't seem to have rebound control at all. Apologies for the questions just trying to figure things out on the front end
@@MightyOnion I hate to guess at things but two things come to mind. Too much preload on the springs and or not enough rebound damping. Either or both would cause the forks to top out. Some forks have internal top out spring some don't. Some are long and soft springs some are short and stiff
If it makes noise it needs to be serviced. Listen to the video, the noise is from air bubble passing through the valving. There should be no air or noise. I posted an after service video too.
@@timmyho748 got any idea how to service it? i did mine on suzuki gsxr 1000 k5 oem damper, sometimes it works sometimes not, how to do it properly? and i just bought 1 ohlins damper just like you, it will be nice if you make 1 video.
@@DonBukhari14 I service them. I started to make a video but it was about an hour and a half and took way to long to up load. You need a special tool service kit to do it. It's nice to have a vacuum bleeder too.
Is this something i should beable to get done at my local powersports or do i need someone who specializes rebuilding them ? Gen 3 zx10r

Normally a dead spot means it needs to be serviced. I'd have to see the damper to know if it is serviceable or not but most OE dampers are not

Where can I get a rebuild kit for mine? Mine doesn't work at all no more 09 zx6r
You cannot rebuilt them without a specialized tool kit and I vacuum fill. Most of the time no parts are needed but seals are only 6 bucks or so each.
I have a 09 zx6r and mine doesn’t work either lmao I got tank slapping death wobble the other week at 140💀
How to know when to service?
